Part 1
It's about 2 weeks after the birth of Anjali's son and Khushi's daughter. Anjali has already been discharged a few days back, and now it's Khushi's turn to go back home. By now, the whole family knows of Arnav and Khushi's contract marriage. However, none of them is at all aware of Shyam's involvement in the whole affair.
Arnav has tried to find out the truth, but remains unsuccessful in doing so. With Khushi out of the house, and no one to snoop him so carefully, Shyam has been able to keep an eye on Arnav and everyone else.
However, what Shyam does not know that there is one person who is spying on his every single moment, not letting him know. That person is none other than NK. It turns out that NK's late dad was Buaji's husband's best friend. And at the same time, his grandmother was Nani's childhood friend.
When Khushi was pregnant, NK visited Delhi and after spending a few days, decided to relocate there itself. When he went through old letters his late dad exchanged with his pen-pal, he found Buaji's home address and landed up there. A few days later, he and Buaji both came to know about their other connection, through the Raizada's.
NK always suspected that there was something fishy with Shyam and when he and Buaji started talking, they decided to bring out Shyam's truth in front of everyone. Of course, Payal is in on this, but her involvement is much less. She just has to make sure Shyam does not do anything serious and pretend everything is normal. NK is the one doing all the spying.
Payal and Buaji were aware that something was fishy the moment they got to know that Shyam is Anjali's husband. When Khushi returned to her Buaji's home, after leavingShantivan, was when they came to know the whole truth.
Buaji is of course, upset at Arnav, but doesn't blame him entirely. She knows that Shyam is so cunning that everyone can be deceived, and in fact, was cheated for so long. If she was in Arnav's place, she would have probably done the same thing.
Buaji vows to get Khushi her rights and give her all she deserves, and punish Shyam of course. It saddens her to see Khushi so upset as well. But there is at least some consolation that Khushi's parents, who died tragically in a train accident 2 months back, are not alive to see their daughter in pain. It would be much more painful for them to see what she is going through now.

When it comes time for Khushi's discharge from the hospital, Arnav, Nani, NK and Buaji come to take her and the baby back home. Nani asks Khushi to come back toShantivan, but she refuses to do so until all issues between Arnav and her are solved. However, Khushi agrees to visit Shantivan when the babies are 40 days old, for the naming ceremony.
When Nani and Buaji go to the doctor to get more information, Khushi asks the nurse to send Arnav in the ward so that she can talk to him privately. NK just hangs outside Khushi's room. Upon entering, Arnav sees Khushi carrying her daughter in her arms. He gets slightly teary-eyed, but blinks away his tears before Khushi can look up and see them.
"She really is my daughter, isn't she?" Arnav asks Khushi, looking towards the baby she is carrying in his arms.
"No!" Khushi retorts, startling Arnav for a moment. "She is not your daughter. She is my daughter. Only mine. You lost your right on her the moment you accused me of fathering my kids with Shyam and subsequently told me to leave Shantivan."
"But, Khushi... She has my eyes..."
"So what???!!! Okay, I agree... You may be her biological parent, but you have nothing to do with her until you don't fully accept her or me. Not until you fully accept the truth. Arnav, it won't be fair to me, my love, or my daughter if you are not able to think of us two as your own. And to do that, you have to regain my trust in you. Show me that you truly regret your actions. Show me that you believe in me. Only when you believe in me, will I be able to believe in you."
Arnav just bows his head in shame and exits the ward-room. Khushi is left alone, thinking. Arnav informs Nani and Buaji that there is a work emergency and he has to go off. They let him go to office, and with NK's help, take Khushi back to Buaji's home.
In Buaji's home, Nani takes Khushi and her daughter to Khushi's room and sits there for a while. When Nani is with Khushi, Arnav talks to Buaji and tells her of all that he heard while eavesdropping on Arnav and Khushi's "private" conversation in the hospital. NK and Buaji come up with an elaborate plan to bring out Shyam's truth in front of everyone, complete with evidence that even he is unable to deny.
******************************
As promised, on the day of the naming ceremony, Khushi goes to Shantivan. The whole house has been decorated very elaborately. Khushi smiles seeing Anjali playing with her 40-day-old son. She carries her daughter and goes to sit beside Anjali. Khushi begins doting on Anjali's son, while Anjali plays with Khushi's daughter.
Arnav sees this and smiles, but with a hint of regret in his eyes that he is unable to embrace his daughter properly. Shyam, on the other hand, seems to be seething in anger. Buaji and NK give each other a secret 'thumbs-up', glad that Shyam is too distracted in his anger to notice the trap that they have laid out for him. No one, except Buaji and NK, are aware of the 'bomb' that is going to be dropped upon the entire Raizada clan in a few hours.
Soon, the panditji arrives, and the naming ceremony begins. Since Anjali's son was born first, the panditji looks at his raashi first.
"Anjali bitiya, according to the raashi, your son's name can start with a D or a H." Thepanditji says.
Whispers and suggestions start going all around, but Anjali just smiles. She has the name already decided. "Panditji, my son's name will be Dhruv."
Everyone smiles at the short and sweet name that Anjali has chosen. Now it's Khushi's turn to name her baby. The panditji examines Khushi's daughter's raashi...
"Well Khushi bitiya, according to the raashi, your daughter's name can start with an A or M."
Khushi doesn't wait to hear any suggestions from those who are present there - she has already decided on the name for her daughter.
"Panditji, I would like to name my daughter Arshiya." Khushi says, as she smiles while looking down at her daughter.
"Excellent choice, Khushi bitiya. Arshiya means heavenly. And your sweet little daughter certainly looks like that." Khushi just continues smiling.
"Hey! Arshiya's name is a portmanteau of her parent's names, right? 'Ar' from Arnav and 'shi' from Khushi...??? Cool...!!!..." NK exclaims as he realizes this fact. Exclamations of realization start going up around the house when NK says this.
Khushi doesn't hear anything that is said as she is too absorbed in gazing adoringly at her daughter. Arnav, however, manages to hear every word. Now, he is more than sure that Khushi was innocent all along. This makes him more than eager to find out the truth. Shyam, as usual, is busy seething in anger seeing at how happy Khushi is, despite not being with him.
Buaji and NK share a secret smile, knowing that everything is going to work out just fine in some time... Shyam's entire truth will be out and he will be punished. Arnav will realize all the wrong he did with Khushi. Anjali will be saved from being further cheated by the demon of a husband she unluckily acquired. And, Khushi will finally be on the way to getting her happiness...
