"Rahul & me are expecting a promotion today, Geet!!! And…and I am very nervous!!!!" announced Sasha
"And I am expecting an increment in salary!" Pinky added
All three of them were in the breakfast table with Geet being the only one busy in hogging sandwiches.
"But that doesn't mean, you two starve! Come on eat something!" said Geet with a bread piece stuffed in her mouth.
"Why aren't you nervous?"
"Ha! Oh Please Pinky! Mujhe promotion nahi milne wala, I am assured of that fact!"
"Yeah..! Finally your love life is settled. So that's why you are happy!"
Geet stopped chewing for a moment hearing Sasha's remark.
"Issee kaise pata!!!!???"
"W-What nonsense!! Kuch bhi!!!"
"Don't try to fool me! Now if don't want to tell us who is he, we can understand! " winked Sasha.
Pinky giggled which Geet chose to concentrate on her eating. Sasha really does understand human psychology to depth, Geet pondered. After all, Sasha was right ! Maan is passionate…, Geet blushed thinking but seeing Sasha & Pinky looking at her, she covered her emotions.
"Uh…waise Sasha, Can you tell me something about Dia…I mean…the kind of person she is…the traits…you know..!"
"Why all of a sudden you want to know about Dia?" asked Pinky, surprised.
"Bas…Aise hi… "
"Well Dia is a sort of vulnerable, like she always fears of losing something or someone she loves even if they are not hers on the first place but she won't let go of the things easily, she will make sure that she has them in the end…! "
"I see…." Geet rested back on her chair, deep in thought…
Her trance was broken when she heard a file being kept on the table.
"Oh God! Ajeeb musibat hai ! I thought I will give this file to Maan Sir after he is done with the last meeting lekin he did not even attend the meeting yesterday! Bas achanak office se nikal gaye!"
"Really?"
"Yeah…! He told Rahul to attend the meeting on his behalf! Can you believe it!! It was obviously not possible so Rahul requested the client for today, thank god they agreed!"
"It's Khurana Constructions after all! The clients had to agree."
Geet did not say anything. She knew she was responsible.
"Par ab mein kya karu? I have to give this file to Maan Sir before he comes to office."
"I can go & give the file to him!" announced Geet.

Maan was getting ready for office. Time had been passing very slowly that morning. He was yearning to meet Geet. After all it would be their first day together after their confession. All the butlers of the Mansion were taken aback when they saw Maan in a jovial mood. When they reported it to Dadima, even she was forced to ponder…
While Maan was wearing his watch, he heard a familiar but faint sound of anklets which made his heart skip a beat…..
"Geet?? Aur woh bhi yahan par..?!!!"
And indeed Geet was there, walking through the corridors of KC with the file in her hand. She was very very nervous. She even remembered how once previously she had come here but she couldn't go inside but today things stood differently. The long white corridor were flanked by white pillars on both sides & the white curtain blew in the cool breeze, all seemed to welcome her.
Geet finally stepped inside. She was awestruck seeing the magnificence & grandeur of the insides of the Mansion. She felt as if she is transported to some other world. There were butlers dressed in tuxedos, the Greek furniture , the English windows, the intricate chandeliers & the way the interiors were designed all made her even more nervous. Maan surely lived a king size life & she was forced to ponder whether whatever happened the previous night was a reality or just another of her dreams!
She hesitantly walked inside. She saw a beautiful temple built towards her right. She went there & joined her hands, closing her eyes.
"God! Please sambhal lena! I am feeling scared…"
Geet turned around & saw dadima descending the elegant stairs. She had seen her.
"Aree Geet, aap yahan par?"
Dadima asked, smiling seeing the beautiful girl in front of her.
"Namaste Dadima…I-I mean Mam.."
"Ahh!! Dadima sounds very sweet . Don't call me Mam!"
Geet was joyfully surprised hearing that.
"Nakul where is my---"
Maan stalled as his eyes fell on Geet in the hall downstairs. Geet looked up hearing Maan's voice…Their eyes met & then locked…
"Yeh toh sach much yahan par hai…& I thought I was dreaming…."
Geet was looking ethereal in the green suit that she wore. Her usually braided hair was left open which complimented the shine & stark beauty of her eyes. Her ears donned jhumkas which partially hid in her hair. Inspite of this, there was simplicity in her appearance which made Maan gape at her, glued to the floor.
Her heart missed a beat seeing him but the nervousness which had claimed Geet began to leave her as she saw pure love for her in his eyes just like the previous day..
Dadima was definitely a witness to their long eyelock…
"Aree Maan, why are you standing there, come downstairs!"
Dadima's voice broke their trance. Maan quickly descended down. Geet stepped forward with the file in hand.
"S-Sir…woh mein yeh file dene aayi thi.." Geet then looked at Dadima & then again at Maan , "B-Before the meeting, you might need t-to go through it…"
Geet gave the file to him but he caught her hand below it! Geet was scared of Dadima seeing it & so pulled her hand back.
"Geet, why don't you have breakfast with us!"
Maan & Geet, both were startled hearing that.
"J-Ji?"
"Yes! Ofcourse!"
"But Mam…I mean Dadima I--"
"Oh Come On Geet, I really want you to join us, right Maan ?"
Maan nodded . "Chalo achcha hai, after the breakfast,I will tell Dadima about Geet & me.."
Maan & Geet sat opposite each other while Dadima sat at the head of the breakfast table. Food was served. Maan & Geet were stealing glances to look at each other or precisely Maan just starred at her….He loved the way her eyes wanted to meet his but shied away the last moment & also there was a soft smile playing on her lips…He was awestruck….

The way Maan was staring at her made her really uncomfortable. She was finding it difficult to hide the redness of her cheeks…
"Best breakfast ever…." His voice was dazed.
"Maan ? What has happened to you!?" asked Dadima which broke his reverie, "You haven't even touched your breakfast!!!"
Geet stifled her giggle.
After the meal concluded, Geet thanked Dadima & took her leave. After Dadima left the hall, Maan pinned Geet to a secluded corner of the Mansion…Geet's heart skipped a beat at suddenly being subjected to his closeness.. His eyes were looking at her with rapt attention…
"Ma-an….aap---"
"Breakfast table par toh tumhe buhot haansi aa rahi thi…"
He inched his face closer & closer…
"A-Actually I…"
His breaths sensually lingered on her cheeks making her breathless. She closed her eyes…
"M-Maan….we are..getting late for office…"
But he was unperturbed. "I have told Adi I will come late…so no phone calls…nothing…."
He was almost about to kiss her when Geet pushed him away a little playfully.
"A-Aap k-kya kar rahe hai…"
She lowered her gaze with a shy smile. Maan was awed…
"Actually Maan, I am really sorry…because of me..you could not attend your meeting…sorry…! "
"You don't have to apologise Geet…! It doesn't matter to me at all! I am very happy that you are a beautiful part of my life!"
He held her hand. Geet felt joyous hearing him…She hugged him & he reciprocated back….
"Geet.."he said as they broke the hug, "We must tell Dadima about us…"
"Par Maan…will she…I mean…we--"
"Don't worry Geet! All will be fine…!" he auured her & kissed the back of her hand…
As they turned they saw Dadima standing at a distance…She had seen them….Maan & Geet, both did not know how to react…
"Dadima, Geet & I…we both love each other…"
Maan announced with Geet alongside him. Dadima was standing with her back facing them. There was a long pause…& the silence was scaring Geet from inside. Maan could sense that. He held her hand & assured her…
"That I could make out Maan, dining table par aapki harkatein dekhkar…!"
She turned to them with a grave face.
"Aur Dia & unke parents se hum kya kahenge?"
"I had agreed to marry Dia because I wanted to see you happy aur--."
"And now you don't care about about my happiness nor my reputation????!!!!"
Tears were building inside Geet as she saw Dadima getting angry on Maan. She didn't want bickering between Maan & Dadima because of her…
"Dadima, it's nothing like that but--"
"But you love Geet!!!" Dadima turned to an almost tearful Geet.
"Dadima I--"
"Do you really think that I will give a nod for this alliance???!!!"
Geet's heart was pierced hearing that. She was completely shattered. Tears welled up in her eyes & she spoke in a shaen voice.
"M-Mam…Please..Aap Maan se kuch mat kahiye…I know it's a shock to you…I can understand…Dia is most suitable for him…" Maan was shocked to hear that, "I don't want to create any more rifts..I-I-I am really sorry…"
Tearfully, Geet prepared to depart but Maan clutched her wrist tight. Geet looked at him.
"Chodiye mujhe...!"
"Nahi !!!!"
His eyes were fierce which made Geet shiver.
"Leave her Maan, inhone hamein buhot naraaz kiya hai!"
"Dadima, she will not go anywhere!! I love her!!!"
"Toh thik hai!! Then ask her why did she call me 'Mam' & not Dadi!!!"
"Dadima I--"
Maan halted realizing what Dadima had just said. Geet was also hearing her. Maan & Geet looked at each other & then looked at Dadima. She was smiling at them.
"Geet, abhi jaldi se aap mujhe Dadi kahiye, else I will have one reason to not agree to this alliance!."
Geet's eyes lit up in joy. Maan was speechless
"Dadima!"
Geet & she embraced each other.
"Aaapko kya laga Maan, I won't come to know? I am your Dadi ! From the past three weeks I seeing your restlessness & your sudden happiness since two days aur baat baat par aap Geet ka naam lete the & then you used to excuse yourself!"
Dadima then lifted Geet's palms to see her mehendi. Geet was startled seeing Dadima knowing about the mehendi. Maan was surprised & he could easily make out his name in it!
"Yeh aapko kaise…?"
"I saw that you didn't even realize that your mehendi had Maan's name in it !"
Before Maan could express anything, his phone rang. He was about to cut it when Dadima said,
"Take the call Maan, I have something important to talk to Geet."
After Maan went away to attend the call, Geet asked,
"But Dadima, you thought that Maan has fallen for Dia.."
"I had purposely made that call to you instead of Dia to just see how you react & you did exactly what I had really expected from you. You went to Dia & broke the news which should have made her happy…but I was surprised seeing her react so unperturbed….At the same time & even today I got a glimpse of your genuine feelings for Maan ! "
"Then she--"
"Don't worry about Dia! I will handle everything! I am happy that Maan finally found true love & I just wanted him to have that & he has got in in form of you! I am glad about it! "
They both hugged again.
"Dadima, mein Dia se baat karungi!"

Maan & Geet were walking along the corridors when Maan held her hand & saw her mehendi…Happiness filled his eyes
"It's beautiful, Geet! "
He kissed her palms & they shared an eyelock.
