Part 20

Maan quickly followed Sameer & Geet in his car. The thought of her sitting besides Sameer itself made him burn in rage. Also Sameer's touching Geet gave rise to a lava inside him which was reflected in his eyes. He drove the car in full speed nearing them every second but he couldn't overtake them due to the busy road. Also a traffic signal almost made Maan lose track of them but he spared no chance of letting that happen .

Maan followed them to a restaurant. Sameer escorted Geet out of the car & they were heading towards the table which Sameer had booked for dinner. Geet's heart was beating nervously as though something big was to happen. It was very difficult to drive away Maan from her mind. The more she tried to forget, the more his thoughts pierced her & when she decides that just couldn't hold herself back from him, the thought of Dia & the forged certificates stopped her & she was again back to square one. Her trance was broken when she heard Sameer speak.

"You know at first, I was very surprised that you are Geet Handa because now-a-days we seldom come across--"

"I am Geet Handa." She interrupted him.

"Yes Yes! Ofcourse you are!" he smiled a little.

On the other hand, Maan had already barged in the restaurant. Everyone present there were shocked & blank to see his brows notched up in anger. His eyes located Sameer & Geet who were just about to take their seats'

"Stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

His one word was enough to invite pin drop silence to the surroundings. Geet was stunned to see Maan there. All including Sameer were glued to the ground seeing Maan's rueful face. He started to walk up to them, his footsteps clearly heard in the soundless atmosphere. Sameer was at a loss for everything seeing Maan glaring at him. Geet did not know what Maan would do next, or perhaps she knew...The next moment, she found her hand grabbed by Maan! Casting a last baleful glare at Sameer, he prepared to depart with Geet. Sameer tried to speak even though his throat strained, but Maan silenced him,

"Don't!!!!!!! Don't dare to speak anything!!!! Never commit the hefty blunder of meeting or contacting Geet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he growled while tightening his grip around her. Geet's breaths halted seeing fire seething his eyes.

Then without saying a word, Maan made his way out clutching her hand. No one dared to stop him or question him about his sctions. Sameer felt a tremor run down his spine & kept wondering what just happened with him...

While they were nearing the car, Geet tried to wriggle out from Maan's steel hold.

"Leave me...I told you there can be only a professional relation between us...why can't you understand???...why was there a need to come all the way here???..."

Maan did not reply instead clutched her more hard

"Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai...Chodiye mujhe...I am getting hurt...Ahh...You don't have any right to do this!!!!...I told you I don't want to hear anything from you!!!! Phir bhi aap kyun nahi samajhte??...aap yahan kyun aaye'why did you do all this???...There were only dislike & fights between us & it will remain that way!!! "

Maan left her hand abruptly. Geet was startled at his sudden retreat, she might have gone a bit too far'. She saw Sameer approaching them with a questioning look.

"Thik hai!! You want to go with him !Go!!!!!" Maan looked at Sameer & then again at Geet, "Who am I to stop you, your personal life, your wish!! You can do anything you please!!!! I shouldn't have gate-crashed your 'dinner date' !!!!!!"

Geet was stunned hearing him. She stared at him, tears forming in her eyes.

"Aree?? Now why are you standing here & wasting your time??!!! I am ready to compensate for my gate crash by granting you one month leave from office so that you can marry him & settle in life!!!!!! Happy? Ofcourse you should be!!!"

Geet saw emotions of pain, hurt, anger & frustration in his eyes...Then without saying a word, he sat in his car. Geet was shocked. He was going... All the emotion which his eyes depicted were genuine...& he was pained by her words. Maan started the car engine & prepared to depart'.Geet was not going to let that happen'She cast one last look at Sameer who seemed to understand everything now..& then she quickly sat in the car alongside Maan & they left the restaurant premises'.

It was after dusk. They did not speak anything in the car. Geet was facing her own turmoil. She had never ever imagined things would take such a shape. Maan was still angry & it could be sensed with the way he was driving the car...Geet did not have the guts to say anything as of now...

Just then it began to rain...& Maan took U-Turn which startled Geet.

"Where are--"

"Usi jagah par jahan yeh sab shuru hua tha, my farmhouse!"

Geet's heart started beating nervously as she heard him. They reached the farmhouse soon with Maan determined to finally sort everything out & Geet nervous'

Maan switched on the lights as they entered. Geet looked around her. It was the same farmhouse where she had, for the first time, unknowingly started to develop feelings for Maan...It had rained heavily that day too as it was raining now...Geet heart beats rose every second'

Just then there was a loud thunder & there occurred a power-cut. The room turned pitch dark'.Maan was startled when Geet suddenly hugged him tightly'He recollected that she had phobia'Maan's anger faded away & he wrapped his arms around her'She hugged him more tightly closing her eyes, her breaths were deep'She didn't know whether she was right or not'.but she knew she just can't stay away from him'Maan felt the warmth in her hug which he wanted to feel'She is his & no one can change that'They stayed that way for sometime feeling each other's presence'

"Who's heart is beating faster, yours or mine?"

Geet's trance broke when she heard him speak. She immediately broke the hug but Maan held her close.

"You said you are not scared of dark when I am there toh phir?"

She did not reply. Her eyes gazed the floor. Maan released her & then went in search for some candles. He got three & lighted them, placing on the table'

He looked up at her in the gleaming yellow light. Their eyes met'His eyes were deep & very intense. The way he stared at her, he had never looked at her before. His sharp & direct eyes arrowed her heart & she turned her eyes away from him'

Zara si dil mein de jagah tu

Zara sa khawbon mein saja tu

He then walked upto her with his eyes watching her intently. The atmosphere had changed drastically which made her all the more nervous. She closed her eyes as he came & stood too close to her. Though he did not hold her, his body was still touching hers'She at once tried to move away but he clutched her wrist & pulled her with her back towards him'

She could feel his hard breaths landing on her shoulders'which petrified her.

"Mein tumhe kisi aur ke saath kahin bhi nahi dekh sakta, samjhi tum!!!!!!!????" his possessive voice spilled on her ears clutching her wrist tight'

"Maan Sir'please'!!!"

"Don't call me Sir!!!!!! I am telling you the last time!!!!! Aaj tak hamare beech jo kuch bhi hua, that never happens between a boss & an employee!!!!!!!"

His rugged breath smashed her shoulders making her shriek. He abruptly turned her to face him, wrapping his arm around her waist'The warmth from the candles died down at once in front of the heat radiated from his eyes'

"I don't want to waste any more time'It's better for you as well as for me!!!!"

"Yek kyun'kyun nahi samaj rahe jaisa woh chahate hain waisa nahi ho sakta'" She shut her eyes tightly.

"If you don't want to listen what I want to say, then you will tell me those words which I want to hear & which I wanted to say'."

"What'.??"

"Wahi jo tumne engagement wale din kahi thi'.you said it twice, Remember?"

Geet's eyes opened wide meeting his determined ones.

"Kuch bhi!! How does he know that I said I love him!!! He was standing so far'"

She tried to wriggle out from his hold but he pulled her more closer that her lips were just about to touch his'

"I am not going to leave you so don't even try!!!!" he warned her'

"Y-You have misunderstood. I had n-not said anything'"

She moved backwards & he moved forward holding her.

"I don't think so!!"

"Aisa kuch bhi nahi hai'"

"You clearly didn't want Dia & my engagement to happen, hai na???"

"You are wasting your time'" she said helplessly as she felt the wall against her back'

"Bol do Geet'jo tumne mujhe uss din kaha tha'"

His eyes were desperate. His body was against her sealing all gaps. She shivered feeling his hard body against hers. Her heart pounded making him know her condition'.

"Dia wouldn't like to see us so close'" she looked sideways with great difficulty'

"I don't care!!! Aur waise you used to address Dia to me as 'You girlfriend/ fiance', ab kya hua!!!! "

"Mujhe'mujhe jaane dijiye'"

"Geet'Mein Dia se pyaar nahi karta & you know that well, mein toh tumse--"

Her breaths notched up'Maan gingerly slipped a strand behind her ear from her face. He then trailed his fingers from her temple to her lips'He stared at her intensely'

His eyes were turning passionate with love every passing second.. Geet was astonished to see him that way. She never expected to see love for her in his eyes'she thought it was next to impossible' but it was there in his eyes'more than she wanted'.she could see that, she could feel it'His eyes stared at her intense with passion'His breaths radiated heat while his fingers sensually played with her curls'Geet didn't know what to do'

Her hand unconsciously moved to touch his face' Her touch soothed him'

"Mein aapse'Mein aapse'"

He held her hand gently & brought it to his lips..

"Yeh kya kar rahi hai Geet, aisa nahi ho sakta!!!!"

She pushed him away & pranced towards the window. Maan was startled by her sudden retreat. The rain was still falling. Geet was breathing heavily. The chilled air graced her face & at the same time she felt Maan's hands snaking around her waist & holding her from behind'

"Geet.." he crooned in her ears , "You are making me desperate & crazy'"

He nuzzled his nose against her neck. She closed her eyes as her heart skipped a beat'

"When you will come to know of my certificates, I don't know how will you react' " a tear dropped from her eye.

"The way I feel for you, I have not felt for anyone else'"

His hands sensually moved across her navel & below her curves which surged various feeling inside her. Her heart throbbed as she sensed his hands moving'The air seemd more cold & she shivered'Maan closed his eyes completely lost'His lips placed a deep kiss on her shoulders'& that brought a tremor to her heart'the feel of his lips was something she had only imagined but it was more heavenly than she had thought'her entire body readily soaked in the feel of his kiss'Feeling her reciprocate, Maan trailed kisses across her shoulder'making thing all the more difficult for her'

Just then Maan saw tears flowing down her eyes. He was shocked. He turned her to face him quickly wiped her tears'

"Nahi'I can never be wrong'tum..tum sach much mujhe chahati hi'mein galat nahi ho sakta'"

His hold loosened around her but she pulled him towards him clinging tightly to him'He was relieved by her act but she was still in a deliema..

"Geet, tumhare maan me jo bhi hai, just'just say it!!!"

He held her lovingly. Tears stopped flowing but her hazels were moist. Maan couldn't bear that.

"Dekho, if you are thinking about Dia then I am anyways not going to marry her, I have told Dadima, I don't want to spoil anyone's life !"

He cupped her face.

"And apart from that, if there is anything else which is bothering you, kaho mujhse Geet..."

Geet grew scared.

"I can't hurt you, I don't want to break your trust'"

"Trust me Geet..I will never leave your side'kabhi nahi'"

Geet squeezed her eyes. Tears trickled down again'

"I have done a fraud' I can't hurt you'"

She pushed him away.

"Mujhe jana hai'"

She hurriedly prepared to walk out of the farmhouse. Maan was shocked.

"I love you Geet!!!!"

His voice from behind halted her hurried steps & she stopped at the door... Her heart was beating at a great rate'& then he repeated the words again..

"I love you'"

Tears evaporated from her face at once. She closed her eyes. Her hands turned in fists. She finally decided what she was supposed to do & accept...She abruptly turned behind & ran towards him...His opened his arms & the next moment, she was in them, hugging him tightly...

"I love you Maan'"

She clutched his shirt with her nails. Her mind & heart seemed light. Maan held her back. A smile crept his lips'after so many years he felt real happiness'.Tears of joy trickled down her eyes as they deepened the hug'.
