Chapter 8 Veil

Past

Her broad border did not let him see her face. He asks again "tell me you are that girl are not you" Khushi unknowingly nods her head. Arnav smiles at her. Khushi was really out of world as Arnav Singh Raizada smiling at her and actually he knows how to smile. They both gaze in to each others eyes and forget the world around them.

Bus bumps in the speed breaker brought back the lovers to the world. Arnav push her up, Khushi takes a step away from him. Arnav crease his lips and said "On that day I did not know... Actually I thought... You... I ...I" Arnav take a deep breath asks in argent voice "I am really sorry for what I said I never please... I am sorry" he tries to look in to her eyes asks again "what is your name why are veiling your face all the time I was search for you all the place in the college, are you studying in the same college". Khushi is shocked to respond any thing he asks for the last question she nods her head unknowingly to his argent pled voice. Arnav flashes his smile stretched out his hand and said "Well I am Arnav Singh Raizada".

Khushi face lit up with pleasure behind her veil. She shakes her hand with his and almost opens her mouth to say who she is. But she remember all the time in this three month with him in the college

He always scolds her,

He always walks away from her

Never let her touch him even for a hand shake

And always tell her that he hates her for no reason.

Khushi think herself if I said that I am Khushi he would not like me like the same now. He will hate me same as he hates Khushi. She did not know why she afraid to tell him that who is she. If he said now that he hates her would not it be same like he tells to Khushi. What is the deferent make now? Khushi did not understand or know why but she could not bear it if he turns his face away from her now. She never sees him talking to anybody like this continuously and above all he never introduce himself to anyone like this. She never witness to that. So she decided.

Khushi decided that if she is an honor person in his eyes slowly pulls her hand from his grip. He tires to pulls it back and looks at her hand then her veil face. Arnav looks at her pleadingly said "I really did not mean those words..." The contactor cuts in "Leave me my way to give ticket". He comes between Arnav and Khushi. Arnav hand slip from hers. Arnav ties to hold her hand and glare at contactor. Khushi moves to the football gesture to the driver stops. Arnav sees Khushi at football tries to call her "Hi Paheli adukki" Khushi turns to see him before she steps out.

The contactor said in harsh tone "did you tell to your home that you are going to suicide"

Arnav jumped from the running bus and all he sees is a red duppata flies from an auto.

Arnav helps to Anjali to step inside of that temple. It is Laxminaranyan temple. He asks "Di, what is the need for coming to this far to a mandir" Anjali smiles at him said "it is good for married woman auspicious". Arnav rolls his eyes said as they reach entrance of temple "I will wait here". Anjali shakes her head go inside.

Khushi was stands in front of idol and pray. She visited to this temple every Friday and sings some divisional songs. Everybody loves to hear her songs include Banditji. As usual she begins to sing the songs

O enchanter of the heart

The beautiful voice filled the air Arnav come inside of temple unconsciously. He tires to find the singer somewhere in his heart it says it is the voice he search for long time.

Arnav comes near the group of people who sink in to the song with devoted heart.

Kanha suno na, tum bin paaon kaise chain
My beloved Krishna, heed me, how will I find peace without you

Arnav move along with the people as it Friday there is a lot of crowed.

Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
Night and day I pine for you

Arnav sees a girl wearing green Lehana skirt and red shawl stands in front of DM idol and sings.

Chodke apne kashi mathura - 2
Abandon your sacred cities of Kashi and Mathura

He tries to see her properly but her back facing him.

Aake baso more nain
Come and dwell in my eyes

Arnav sees Anjali lost in the song and think "if I catch red handed I cannot answer to Di"

Tum bin paaon kaise chaina kanhaaa
how will I find peace without you?

Anjali move to the other side of temple Arnav hides behind temple pillar.

Tarsoo tumhi ko din rain
Night and day I pine for you

Khushi finished the songs and get the divine water from Banditji move towards the same side where Anjali went.

Arnav comes from the pillar and finds out the empty space in front of him. He punched the sir in fraction He had search for her more than three damn months, he cannot let go off her just like this.

Khushi walk while talking with Payal and did not notice a child throw its feeding bottle and all the milk spills on her. It leave her full front side wet. Khushi pouted little looks up. The mother comes to her said "Really sorry sister sometime he did this please change this" She offer a green color shawl matched her lehana skirt and said "I got this for me please you can change there" she show a hidden place. Khushi looks down at her dress and realize she can travel through the city like this so she went to change.

Arnav comes out of temple after search every corner of it. Khushi changes in to full green lehana come straight in front of him. He looks everywhere around and sees Khushi asks her "did you see a girl wearing red shawl hid her face under veil. Khushi could not utter any word just nod negative. Slowly Arnav passes her. The red shawl, she throws when she sees Arnav flies in the air.

Khushi joins with Payal and moves to road to find an auto rickshaw. Arnav stands near the car. Khushi passes him and wait for the auto rickshaw steeling glance at Arnav. Payal stops an auto and both went from there.

The shawl flies in the air falls on Arnav face.
