"Par agar aap hum sey pooch letey tou ASR ki shaan main kami na aajati?" she retaliated in her KKG style.

"Wow...really Khushi, tum jaanti tou ho k main kaisa hoon?" She comes forward to him.

"Haan jaanti hoon...jaanti hoon k aap ney apni zindagi kitni mushkil banaayi hui hai... kitney akroo, sariyal laad governor hain, kitna mushkil hai aap ko jhelna, par phir bhi...phir bhi hum aap se pyaar kartey hain aur humesha aap ki zindagi main rehna chahtey hain..humesha humesha k liye!" She broke down and hugged him.

"Khushi??? Tum...tum ney mujhey maaf'"He stopped because her last line drew away all his insecurities and his fears.

"Thank you Khushi...thank you so much!" He squeezed her and kissed her frantically on her cheeks, forehead, hair, unable to contain his sudden happiness and the relief he got.

"Arnav Jee...koi dekh lega...'"

"Dekhne do, for all I care" And he closed his eyes, smiling truly after months.

Aaoge Jab Tum Saajna...angana phool khilenge
Barsega saawan, barsega saawan
Jhoom jhoom ke
Do dil aise milenge...

Arnav looked down upon his weeping Khushi...and hugged her even harder.

"Kya kar rahen hain, Arnav Jee..saans hi na chala jaey humara..."

"Oh yeah? Sirf saans hi kyun...tum ney tou ro ro kar apni water supply bhi khatam kar di hai... look at my shirt!" He teased her...feeling guilty inside for her swollen eyes. She had cried all the time these past two three days; all because of him. But he'll make sure it was the last time she cried, he promised to himself.

"Hum kab roye...yeh tou khushi k aansu they..."

"That's what I'm saying..yeh to Khushi k aansoo hain!"

And they laughed out loud with relieved hearts...after such a long time.

"Khushi lets go...cut your cake!"

She looked at him...

Yeh kaisa shakhs hai jo har baar eik naye roop main humare saamney aajata hai...kabhi khoonkhaar boss ki shakal mai...kabhi jalaad pati k roop main aur kabhi itne masoom, itne saaf dil waley insaan ki shakal main...jis ne kisi bachey ki tarah apna poora dil khol k humare saamne rakh diya...

"Kya dekh rahi ho...kya aj bhi "dashing" lag raha hoon?" He remembered that's how she described him in her diary.

"Aap..aap ko kisi ne bataya nahin hai kya...k kisi ki private diary nahin parhni chaiye???? Aey Devi Mayain!!! Wideshi university se parh kar aaye hain..phir hhi yeh haal hai!"

"Acha aur tumhey kisi ney nahin bataya; k pati se pyaar ka izhaar paper par nahin...direct us sey kartey hain?"

That left Khushi dumbfounded...

"Aap ney sab parh liya...? Sab?" She bit her lip...going red.

He nodded, sympathetically...

"Tou kya hua...pyaar kiya tou darna kya..pyaar kiya, koi hori nahin ki...chup chup ki aahain bharna kiya..." She said loudly, while sitting on the chair in front of her birthday Cake.

He chuckled.

"True that! Here take this knife" He slid her hand into hers...I promise to love you all our life from now on. Aj sey humari zindagi ki nayi shuruwaat hai... jo ho chukka please us ko bhool jao...u know mujhse bari bari baatain nahin hoti...but I know how to love and protect those who I love. Happy Birthday to you Khushi..."

He cut a piece and gave a small, passionate peck on the cheek.

"Aap ko pata hai...pati patni k rishtey main wishwaas bohut zaroori hota hai...aaj se pehley jo bhi hua...bhool dono ki hi thi...par aj k baad, humain iss wishwaas ko nahin khone dena hai...kyunkey kal ka koi bharoshi nahin...agar humara rishta mazboot hai tou koi bhi humain tor nahin sakey ga...Aap ko pata hai..in do din main..humari duniya hi ulat gayi...kuch samajh nahin aa raha tah..ap ka woh jumla baar baar humare kaano main goonjh raha tha. Us waqt kitna mushkil lag raha tha aur ab kitna aasaan. Yeh sab isliye k aap ney apne dil ki baat humain khul kar bata di. Agar hum aap ko kal ya parson kehne detey tou shaid aaj ka bhi intizaar na karna parta..."

"You are right, par jo hota hai, acha k liye hota hai...agar tum mujhey apne dil ki baat pehley batati to shaid main tumhara wishwaas bhi na karta...jaise bhi hua, its ok...ab don't stress yourself...its your birthday after all!

They had a romantic dinner at the outer premises of the Inn and went back to their bedroom.

Khushi sat in front of the dressing table...it had been such a nice evening...she had never experienced so much happiness before...everything felt clear...all regrets finished, all confessions made...she felt on cloud nine.

All of a sudden the lights went out...she got up, turned around..

"ARNAV JEE???"

"Shhh...main idhar hi hoon" came a husky whisper inches away from her ears...
