Anupama back to Shah house , at Baa's feet !
Each of your character has lots in them... thay are just not moulded into a set category... each have a different tale to tell. That is what's quite beautiful in the writing that attracts me to this FF.Oh will be waiting to see the changes in Dev-Shasha relation. 😊Hopefully Maan will be able to overcome his demons & also Geet will find a way to be with him in all of his decisions & ambitions ... afterall she's the sherni here who doesn't spare anyone. It does seem interesting let's see where you place these two.😊
Eid Mubarak to you too, Fozia! 😊 Will wait for the update.

For the first time in my life, since i came to know "Shasha"{in show as well as IF stories},I am feeling genuine "sympathy" for this character..Hope Dev's visit would bring some happiness for her...
Eager to know what will geet decide for the "form" and "dadi's suggestion"...waiting..
His hand went up towards the door, backed away, then gave in & knocked firmly.
He heard the scurrying of footsteps before a middle aged woman, dressed in a loose jumper and a long capri skirt came to the door.
"Can I help you?" Gauri asked, eyeing the young man in front of her as he pushed up his glasses nervously.
"I'd like to speak to Sasha, please."
"May I ask who you are?"
"Dev. Dev Khurana."

Geet just stared at the form in front of her as Pinky bit her lip nervously.
"Geet, it's unlike you to be so quiet. Say something. I know I shouldn't have interfered, but-"
She was engulfed into a side hug as Geet squeezed the life out of her best friend.
"You don't know what blessing you've just performed, Pinky," she beamed as she pulled away. "You're one of a kind."
She picked up the application form & hurried away to her bedroom, leaving a surprised Pinky reeling in her wake as she reached for her phone to consult with her new fiance.

"I've had enough of this," Maan mumbled to no one in particular as he absent mindedly doodled on Paint, drawing a rainbow with his mouse using the different colours. "Everyone seems to love to tell me what to do. God forbid if Maan Singh Khurana ever wants to do anything of his own choice. And that Geet, as if she hadn't driven me crazy enough already, she follows me to my house & demands answers with those big beautiful eyes of hers. Well, I refuse to give in, especially when I'm behaving like this for her sake in the first place-"
It was only when he looked over the top of his screen did he find Savitri standing at the door with a coy smile.
"Feel free to give me my privacy, Dadima," he remarked sarcastically as he pulled the screen down.
"I can understand where you're coming from, Maan."
"What do you mean?"
She sat down on the edge of his bed, adjusting her pearl bracelet that adorned her wrist. "I know what it feels like to be in love with someone who appears to be so career minded that they have no time for relationships."
"I'm not in love with Geet," he stated, although the falter in his voice didn't go unnoticed.
"You're worried that by letting yourself go to her, you'll hold her back from her ambitions. But remember this ' nothing in life that is worth anything is risk free."

Sasha had almost spat the water out from her mouth when her mother informed her that a Dev Khurana was at the door.
She stood in front of him just as his eyes moved up from the porch to see her.
He was taken aback by her bare appearance ' face devoid of make up, hair pulled back, with loose sweats on ' she was a far cry from the glamorous Sasha Malhotra that had taken Delhi by storm since her arrival.
"What do you want?"
"Can we talk?"
"Do you have anything to say?"
"I have a lot to say, Sasha. Just give me a chance."
"Like you gave me a chance?"
He shifted uncomfortably. "Why did you leave KC?"
"Because I've been deployed to Mars."
"Was it because of me? I feel really guilty, Sasha. I'm so sorry."
She scoffed. "Let me just take a minute to acknowledge the fact that the entire world revolves around Dev Khurana."
"That's not what I mean-"
"If you really want to know, then yes. I did leave, I left because I'm in love with you but you will never see me as anything else but a cheap thrill, the office tart, a one night stand."
"I have a lot of respect for you. I've never derogated you."
"I'll tell you why you feel guilty, Dev. You're guilty because you want something you know you can never have."
He frowned, his jaw clenching. "What do you mean?"
"Does the name Geet Handa ring a bell? The whole world knows about your infatuation towards her, yet the whole world also knows that she's blatantly in love with Maan."
"I know she can never feel the same way about me-"
"So why do you chase after her?"
"Because I can't help the way I feel."
"Well neither can I," she said softly. "Now you understand how I feel. That's why I left. I'll always want something that I know I can never have. The sooner I distance myself away from you, physically and mentally, the better."
He opened his mouth to speak but she cut him off. "Goodbye, Dev."
She walked into the house, biting her lip as the tears grew thick & fast. Gauri emerged from the kitchen, a wooden spoon covered with sauce in her hand.
"Like mother like daughter, eh?"
She threw an arm over her daughter's shoulder as she cradled her to her shoulder, watching from the window as the car pulled away & sped off.

As Geet switched the lamp light on and off, paying no heed to the electricity bill that would come through their new door because of it, she tried to mentally sift through the events that had occured since her first day at her job.
Unable to cope with so much information swimming around at once, she'd wrote everything down in a mixed concoction of purple & pink ink.
She'd almost taken to the gardens, in an attempt to retrieve a flower & play the classic 'he loves me, he loves me not' game.
But looking at the form in front of her only confused her more.
It did seem like her dream job.
Maybe she shouldn't just apply to get through to the enigma that was Maan.
Maybe she should apply with the full intention to get the vacancy.
The intention to leave KC behind.
To leave him behind.
Mumbling expletives under her breath, she gave the poor lamp a rest as her head slouched forward on her desk, the ink sticking to her skin as her eyes drifted to a close.

She woke up the next morning to the sunlight kissing her skin. Half expecting herself to be dreaming, she blinked a few times to register the fact that it was all very real.
Pulling herself up from her table, she winced as she realised she had a stiff neck. Geet pushed her chair back as she grabbed her towel, heading for the bathroom. She passed her mirror when she did a double take, peering at her reflection closely.
Then she let out a ear piercing shriek.

Maan was at his office nice & early, with his usual cup of coffee as he ignored the domineering gaze of Pammi who sauntered by his office.
He felt someone enter his office due to the slight draught that blew in with the door, and he looked up to find Geet holding a cloth to one side of her face -which had blotches of purple seeping through it ' as she held a small paper in the other.
"What happened to your face?" he inquired as she kept an usually straight face.
"Long story, and I'm not going to bother cutting it short."
He was taken aback at her cold demeanour. So he refused to talk to her about the three words that transpired between them that night ' but surely she knew it was for her own good?
"Is everything ok?" he asked, standing up from his chair.
She threw the paper on his desk. He glanced at her, raising an eyebrow in question.
"My resignation letter," she replied, knocking him back for six' and more.
