@Jyo: Marvelous take ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘...Yup Aarti is in a serious dilemma if P looks like a hero in everyone's eyes and he is so called reformed, I can totally see Aarti telling the Dubeys and Yash that she has never loved anyone as much as she loves Yash โ˜บ๏ธ โ˜บ๏ธ โ˜บ๏ธ

But in order for her to say those words she'll have to open pandora's box and let Yash know about her past and that its heading there way...Can u imagine Yash's reaction when he gets to know that P his so called friend is Aarti's ex

That's what I wanna know too, what is Shobha's angle?! Is she as manipulative as Dubey & P but hides it better than them...She tries to convince Aarti that P has changed and that she shouldn't take any decision in a hurry...I tell you that woman is confusing ๐Ÿ˜•

@Borna: Great post ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘...I know what you mean when you say don't get you started on Kratika's performance or else you won't be able to stop talking...She was outstanding and i got a feeling that she'll pull out all the stops in the upcoming weeks โค๏ธ

@Morris: fab take ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘...True both the youngest DILs are in serious trouble they are both trying to run away from the things the hurt them and so to protect their loved ones from the same faith they are trying to do damage control which is gonna soon blow up in their faces ๐Ÿ˜”

Yup, I agree with you. I know she's 100% in love with Yash now. I'm just saying that she'd still care about him. I'm trying to say that I'm glad the CVs didn't make Aarti act like she could care less about Prashant. I could see the pain in her eyes, somewhere, deep down she still cares about him.

Borna, I can now officially say I recognise your writing style anywhere. Completely bowled over. Who would have thought? It really is extremely distinctive.๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿค—

Indu Di, probably mentioned this before. Saying it again. I've been reading TSR and would you believe I can barely tell where your parts begin and mine end?๐Ÿค—

I actually liked today's episode especially Aarti and Yash with the kids in the park acting as one unit and one big happy family. Clearly, Yash is very protective of Aarti and their unborn baby when he rushed on time and got in the way of the sharp swing that might have resulted in Aarti getting hurt. He was always protective of Aarti even before she was pregnant with his child. So, it wasn't something new that I saw in Yash as I know for sure that he would have rushed to save Aarti even if she wasn't pregnant. It is his instinct to put his family above himself and that is one of the traits that us viewers and Aarti admire in him.

I liked how they showed Aarti growing suspicious of Ansh's gestures that he had learnt from Prashanth and was starting to put things together. She caught on to the fact that Prashanth might be back for good at the Dubey's and is probably the one who Ansh is claiming to be his friend. By showing him the picture of Prashanth from Facebook, she was able to confirm that it was indeed Prashanth who had saved them at Lalithpur and it is also him who has been meeting Ansh secretly at his school. I liked the fear, concern and the desperation they showed in Aarti when she was asking Ansh to look at Prashanth's picture. She clearly did not want it to be Prashanth who was their saviour and in turn has now become Ansh's friend. But when she did find out that it was Prashanth, she was fearing for a second and then she had the absoulte resolve to not let this come in between her and Yash and also to not get stressed which might jeopardize her unborn baby.

She called Shobha to get answers to all the questions that has been eating her away ever since she started suspecting that Prashanth might have reentered back into their lives. She was spot on with her questions to Shobha and I actually liked the fact that she voiced the viewers' concern as to why he is trying to be a hero infront of Ansh when he clearly disowned him by questioning his paternity and disgraced her by questioning her character. She could not stand to hear Shobha trying to speak in support of Prashanth while looking at Yash's picture. I thought that was a nice touch by the Cvs to show how much Aarti has grown to love and respect Yash. But I couldn't stop wondering if she is feeling this level of guilt by just looking at his picture, then what might have been her feeling all these days when he was physically present near her?? How could she live with this big of a lie even though she decided to bury her past and pretend that Prashanth never existed. In the past, the CVs never showed the emotional turmoil in Aarti when she was trying to hide the truth about Prashanth. She would occasionally get scared and nervous if someone mentions Prashanth's name like for instance when Suneeta left a voice mail for Yash regarding Prashanth which Yash never got around to listening. She dropped the idea of telling Yash about the whole truth because at that time that was not the reason for Yash's outburst. However, I absolutely loved her determination when she said to Shobha that time has come for her to reveal the entire truth to Yash and wants him to hear it from her first hand and not from anyonelse. Shobha once again was trying to scare her by saying that it is a major decision in her life that she has taken to reveal about her divorce truth to Yash and think it through. It is because of Shobha and Dubey she has to see this day and be guilty over the fact that her marriage to Yash is based on a lie. I also liked it when she made it clear to Shobha that she has made up her mind and will go ahead with revealing the truth to Yash. I say, Way to go Aarti!! Finally you are staring to see things clearly..

Since when Maya is interested in Aarti's health?? If I were Aarti, I would not drink that milk because for all we know she might have mixed something in the milk to hurt Aarti and/or the baby.

Precap was pretty scary with SP questioning Aarti and everyone pointing fingers at her. Thanks to SBB segment, we know that it is all part of their birthday surprise for Aarti.

I wrote a long one today because classes start tomorrow, and I am back on my crazy schedule of reading and dead lines. ๐Ÿคข

Enjoy!

I loved today's episode because it was the final nail in the coffin for the denial Aarti has been living in since her last confrontation with Prashant. This denial was based on two very important assumptions: 1. that Prashant would never come back and 2. that Prashant was a horrible person who could, without a thought, question her character, disown Ansh completely and insult his parents all while asking for their help financially. Now both of these foundational elements of her denial are being negated completely which is why she is suddenly, after all these months possessed with the conviction to tell Yash the whole truth.

I know that it was foreshadowing when Ansh got hurt, for the possible bone-marrow extraction surgery which is extremely painful, but I kind of wish they had shown Palak of Payal getting hurt instead, simply because it wouldn't really have changed the nature of the scene (the focal point being the kissy) but would have helped us as viewers re-establish the bond between Aarti and the girls. Even showing little moments like this would make a huge difference and the girls were right there, so why not? I am hoping they have something big planned to show the bonding between Aarti and the girls because that needs some serious attention after the whole Lalitpur fiasco. I agree that the apology scene was very touching, but I feel like I need more to substantiate that. Ever since that family game scene I have had the feeling that Palak is going to play a big role in the pregnancy, or the miscarriage, whatever happens because she was the most receptive to the new, small teddy bear where Ansh was completely antagonistic and then clueless as to what to do with the new member. Anyway, hoping for more Palak-Payal-Aarti bonding.

The blind man's bluff scene was very significant in that it showed that Aarti still does not really believe that Yash is serious about being on her side. I think it was also significant that she was trying to find Ansh, specifically, and though she was blinded, she was sure she would win if she just kept going. In short, she still doesn't completely trust Yash to b selfless and want only her safety in a situation where he has something at stake. Even when his tone changes and his voice is full of alarm, she takes it as part of a game, something he is doing to keep her from winning. And because Aarti refuses to listen to Yash and trust him, when he begs her not to walk into danger, refuses to rely on anyone but herself and Ansh's voice, she causes Yash to get hurt in the act of saving her from her own stubbornness. This may well be a foreshadowing of what we are going to see with the divorce lie.

Yash will save her from herself at all costs, but because she refused to trust him all this time, he will get hurt in the process. Aarti's trust in Yash is post facto. Once he saves her, she declares that she has full faith in him that nothing could happen to her as long as she was there. She still doesn't trust him implicitly, and he still has to prove himself as worthy of her trust at every instance. That is the final barrier that has to break with this Prashant truth coming out and Yash's reaction to it.

The kissy thing was really interesting too because Aarti and Yash's expressions reminded me so much of that scene when, after the kidnapping, Ansh led Yash to Aarti and told him he had permission to kiss his mother. It was kind of an interesting loop closure because here it was Palak who told Aarti to kiss Yash's wound better, just like she did with Ansh. What made it really interesting to me was the fact that that is exactly what happened since Palak's birthday and Aarti realising that she was in love with Yash. She healed his wounds with her unconditional love and support, just by being herself, being in love with him, understanding what he needed and wanting nothing more than for him to be happy. Interestingly, it was Palak who gave her the ticket to the final push in the form of the Mumbai trip. That was Palak's "permission" for them to truly become a family and for her Aarti-mummy to work the same magic on her father, that she had worked on Palak herself. And today, her command to give her injured papa a "kissy" sort of sealed the deal symbolically.

But Aarti and Yash were both awkward as though they had not progressed one bit from that moment so many moths ago. I guess it just goes to show that all this dikhawa that Yash has been doing of being in love, has not convinced Aarti one bit, because she is just as weary as ever, and I am sure the memories of Prashant are playing on her mind, making her uncomfortable at the mention of physical intimacy. She was no more ready for "uss raat" than Yash was and I would love to know what her reaction to it would have been without the baby colouring it from day one.

Finally, like I said in the first paragraph, Aarti's whole denial and hence the basis of her falling in love with Yash is the fact that Prashant is a horrible person who did not deserve to be in her or Ansh's life. If he is reformed, where does that leave her feelings for Yash, as their very foundation comes crumbling down? Now is the time for Aarti to descern whether she was in love with Yash simply because he was everything Prashant wasn't, or whether her feelings really stem from knowing Yash, the person, and feeling deeply for him.

My theory is that it is the latter, but only since Mumbai. Before then, she was in love with Yash because she needed to be, because if she wasn't, the only thing that defined her (according to her) was her failed relationship with a man who questioned the paternity of their child. If Prashant becomes no different than Yash in moral fiber and good character, which he is doing already by becoming comparable to Yash both in Ansh and Shobha's eyes, and considering she has one child sired by each man, then what is left to differentiate them in Aarti's eyes? And here is why this is such wonderful storytelling...it all comes down to the thing Aarti has been avoiding through out the story: what she, as a woman wants. Finally, her love for Yash is going to find its true meaning when it isn't based on what kind of person he is, as though loving someone is a moral decision, but purely based on what her heart selfishly wants.

She is clearly not over Prashant, as evidenced by how frazzled she gets at being reminded of him. She had only taught herself to hate him. Now with his disease and the fact that she owes him her life, she can't hate him as easily anymore. And since she jumped from devoted love to abject hate in one moment, when the hate is gone, will she find that part of her still loves Prashant deep down? I know I am not going to be popular for suggesting this but I stand by it and I think it is highly possible that she will. Feelings that you nursed for so long do not just shut off in one confrontation, and if they do shut off, they can be as easily turned on.

It is Yash's turn to share his spouse with another, until she is able to get closure from that relationship, and it will be a trying time for him, especially as Prashant is a live threat, literally. I don't think Aarti will want to be with Prashant, that is not what I am saying, but she will feel the need to do right by that relationship, once she accepts that part of her will always love Prashant, because that is the kind of person she is. And I think Yash will stand by her, no matter how uncomfortable it makes him to see their familiarity and history before his eyes, because he is aware of what Aarti did for him with regards to Arpita, and I think through this process he will fall in love with her...and you know, "if you love something, let it go" etc etc. (Sanju, here is where we may get that final verse of Ye Dil Hain!)

Priya, great take!! Your question about the magnitude of her guilt. Perhaps while he was lost in his Arpita world and being indifferent to her it didn't seem like it would matter all that much to him. Where as now that he's actually being nice to her, she really is doing another dokha. This time one that comes after he gave up on his obsession with his dead wife to embrace the present and maybe the future with her. The fact of the major step Yash took is not lost to her, thus making her guilt visible now.

Borna I so agrree with this para of yours ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘... Yess Aarti can see how he is so protective about her but yet she is keeping him in dark about her past which is bothering her a lot

at the same time when Shobha was talking about Prashant's greatness , Aarti looks at Yash's photo and asks Shobha to stop because she does not even want to cheat on his photo too by hearing about her ex-hubby's praise... she wants to remain loyal to Yash in every way possible and since Yash is in dark about her past , so she feels its wrong to discuss about Prashant's greatness even in front of his photo ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ...

@Kadeen
: I completely agree .. there was a sense of cheating in Aarti's mind when she looks at Yash's photo and asks Shobha to stop talikng about Prashant ... she is indeed guilty of keeping Yash in dark for so long

@Saiffi : I agree .. Prashant's talks still affects her which is natural not because she loves him still but because she knows this is one part of her life which cannot b hidden anymore and time has come to let it out in front of Yash ...

But again things hv gone back to square one for her with Prashant becoming that old Prashant whom she loved in the past .. now what ? .. this is her confusion and she is scared of this upcoming turn of events in her life .. Thats why when Shobha was lecturing her about this saint Prashant , she looks at Yash's photo and tells Shobha lets stop discussing about this newly reformed Prashant as its stressing me out ... So in short the whole complex situation of Prashant returinng back like a unsung hero is bothering her because she always wanted to hv only one hero worship image in her mind and thats Yash ... Now suddenly another guy whom she considered dead returning back to life like a undung hero is playing havoc in her mind

I think the thing that's being overlooked here is that Aarti very well maybe over Prashant I don't think she doubts for one moment what she feels for Yash, it's simply that Prashant came back.
Aarti was able to establish a relationship with Yash because Prashant wasn't there and the Prashant that she met the last time was Not a nice guy.
Now he shows up and is the hero of the hour. Not only is he reformed to his parents(that she has adopted as her own) but they are singing his praises, the son that he doubted was his is now his new best friend, and even worse she's indebted to him because he did save her and her present husband called him a friend.
But none of that addresses the bottom line issue of ... He hurt her feelings. And as humans we get over and forgive a lot but we never forget when someone hurts our feelings.

@Zet: Great take, as always! I didn't even think about the baby in the scene where Aarti was blindly walking towards danger, but it is so true. Yash protected both her and the baby, not bothering that he hurt himself in the process.

@Jyo: Great take, especially the part where you analysed the pictures. You know, I hope that Prashant is reformed because as I wrote in my take, it makes the whole story much more interesting. If he is evil then the story becomes rather flat with him as the villain, Aarti as the damsel in distress and Yash as the savior and that is not what this show has ever been about. So I want to see Prashant reformed because it brings so much more to the table!

@Borna: I loved the contrast of emotions you noted Yash invoking in Aarti. His actions give her comfort and yet that very comfort is so precarious because of the lie this whole relationship rests on. One yank and everything could come toppling down!

@Morris: I was sort of wondering to myself if Aarti actually wanted Shobha to stop her and convince her not to tell Yash about the divorce lie. She kept repeating that she had made up her mind, and I just thought...what if there is a tiny corner of her heart that is dying to be admonished by her mother to forget Prashant and be happy with what she has? But she knows and Shobha knows how necessary this is...and so it will have to happen.

@Priya: Great take! I agree, the conversation between Aarti and Shobha was a great scene, with Aarti asking all the right questions to aptly illustrate her state of mind. In a few days, how can everything about Prashant have turned upside down? Shobha, who used to convince her that he was bad, is now speaking for him and Ansh whom he rejected, even that he had fathered him, he suddenly wants to endear himself to. What is going on, Aarti wonders? She is getting more and more agitated and worked up and I think when she finds out about the cancer, it will be a huge blow and a break down for her.

@Samana: Magnificent analysis Sweetie ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘...Like you said it's Yash's turn to share his wife with someone else and I don think that Yash would want to let Aarti go but the latter won't let him...Yash gonna realize his love for Aarti when he senses that he's about to lose her.

Yash is gonna be Aarti's pillar but like you stated in your post, it won't be easy for him but he'll do it cause he knows that she will need to be her strength when she feels like giving up.

Aww thank you, yes Yash didn't care about the pain he had to go through...He was just worried about Aarti and their child ๐Ÿ˜ณ

@Priya: Fantastic take Dear ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘...I hear ya Shobha was trying to scare Aaarti and i love the determination in Aarti's voice in eyes when she looked at Yash's pic.

I get what you're asking regarding how could she lay next to Yash and not once decide to tell him, I can't really defend her actions but I can put myself in her place and tell you that the fear of losing someone over a secret you've been keeping can be paralyzing plus she was bond but the promise she made to the Dubeys.

Me too the family scene in the park was the best part of the epy for me โค๏ธ

haha I wouldn't drink that milk either but then again if boa tries anything SP & Gayatri won't spare her ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜†

Off for the night...You guys enjoy the rest of your day!!

Happy Discussions All!!!
