My dad!!!Yes My Dad was standing at the entrance of my room & he discovered Maan & me way too close to each other'with Maan holding me'& he saw both of us looking into each other's eyes'.Okay fine!!! I am dramatizing things!. The truth is Maan was not holding me & he was standing at a safe distance from me (Ermm..I don't know how because before I had closed my eyes, he was really standing very near..) & our dad has seen us like that . But still questions like ' What is Maan doing in this room at late night?' , 'What were you two up to?' from Papa had validity in this situation. Soon enough the first question was aired,

"Geet!!! Yeh kya ho raha hai??"

Usually my dad is not strict, par abhi situation hi kuch aisa hai toh'

"Papa..woh'mein..woh.."

"Uncle! Actually we were discussing dil ke relationships, right Geet?"

Both me & my dad were dumbstruck hearing that. He was smirking which only I could make out!!!Why Babaji why???Why does he always puts me on a tight spot!!!How can he be so calm & cool in such a situation??.

Papa sternly looked at me. Maan was still smirking.

"W-W-Woh'.I-I'B-Books!!!!" I announced & continued in a very grave tone, "I am in a relationship with my study books.I have just realized how much I ignored them for one year & this realization has invoked my undying love for them & Papa" I went towards him, "mera books ke saath dil ka relationship hai, I will work very hard in academics henceforth!"

Yes!!!I did it!! Papa looked more or less convinced. But Maan was clearly irritated by my antics.

"That's all right but.. Maan aap yahan Geet ke kamre mein kya kar rahe hain & that too raat ko!" he asked suspiciously.

Maan maintained his calmness. But I was worried about him. I didn't want Papa to say anything to him! My eyes opened far wide when I saw Maan reaching for that bridal wear magazine which lay on the table! Freak! I didn't even bother to check it out previously! But what is he going to do of that?

"Geet! You have decided which colour you want?"

I was hell shocked. But the marriage prank was over! Why is he asking about bridal wear then?

"R-Red'"

"Are you sure because first you had told white!"

Hwww!!!!! When did I say white???Daarji will never ever allow to marry in church!!!!But I am fantasizing will Maan looker hotter in shervani or black suit??!

"R-Red'" I repeated looking from Maan to Papa.

"I hope you also have finalized the decorations which you want in the mandap!!"

S-Shaadi ka mandap!!!! Has Maan gone mad???Is he indirectly proposing me & that to in front of Papa! Buhot besharam hai Maan!

Before I could say anything, Maan handed over the magazine to Papa with a page open

"Uncle! This is what Geet has selected!"

I was horrified!!!!! How can Maan do this to me?? He is calmly showing the magazine to Papa!!!! I was on the verge to receive a heart-attack!! I covered my face with my shivering hands anticipating the worst.

"That's amazing!!! Excellent selections!!" exclaimed Papa.

What was that!!! Am I turning insane or is it a mad dream??? Am I really getting married to Maan'shayad mom-dad ne Daarji ko nahi bataya hoge'

"But Maan for finalizing this you came to Geet's room? "

"Now what to tell you uncle!!! Your daughter is too much confused!! From the past three days I am telling her to choose a colour theme for the hotel inauguration party, she finally chose red! & the decorations for the puja ka mandap is also finally done!"

I was deeply baffled hearing all that!! I felt my eyes & ears almost pop out in disbelief!!Maan was smirking big time looking at me!!!! So he was talking about that inauguration party for so long!!!!...& I thought'

Maan continued, "Party is after two days, so preps have to be started tomorrow!Toh isliye I had to come to her at this hour of the day, hope I did not angry you..." He signed off in the most gentleman & innocent voice..

My dad seemed pleased. Both the men turned to me.

"Aree Geet, why are you hiding your face?"

"Actually uncle, Geet were nervous whether you will like her choice or not!Aur waise bhi she is the one who will cut the red ribbon for the inauguration!"

"No Geet puttar!!! Your selections are splendid!"

I smiled wearily. Maan looked at me with a glint in his eyes.I am still on the road to recover from the shock which Maan gave me but still'he has managed everything so perfectly that Papa didn't have the least suspicion on us!! I have never seen such a shrewd & clever man like Maan Singh Khurana!!!

Maan gave me a last winning smirk before departing which again raised my heart beats. Then I hugged my dad & then he too left. I was alone in my room..

"Yeh sab kya ho raha hai mere saath?? From the day the Khuranas have come, Maan & Annie have almost done in Ph.D in creating troubles for me in their own different ways, Maan specially! But we have been able to dodge both dad & daarji just because of him & the best part he is so calm & cool even in such a situation...Oh God! Here is has almost slain my heart & I am showering praises on him! "

Next Day

"No!! No!! Never!!!As if I am the most privileged person to have got a chance to cut the ribbon with Geet!!" she aired sarcastically,"I want to cut alone!!!"

Wow!! Again her 360 degree tantrum started. Maan's dadima, Niharika Aunty, Annie & I were in the hall.

"Okay fine Annie, then you cut alone. I am no problems." Saying that I prepared to go but Maan's dadi stopped me.

"No Geet bete " she turned to Annie, "Annie, this is not the right way to behave! Geet is definitely doing the inauguration, it's upto you if you want to join her or not! "

Annie left in a huff. I felt bad. I tried to stop her.

"She will be fine! Don't worry Geet!" assured Niharika Aunty, "Waise bhi, she listens only to Maan & practically no one else!"

"But Aunty, if Maan is here, it better if he cuts the ribbon!"

"He has an important client tomorrow. So he would arrive late at the party!"

"Niharika, do you have catering ka number?" asked Maan's Dadi.

"No'woh toh.." she turned to me , "Geet, will you please go to Maan & get the caterer's number? , he has it!"

I nodded.

Okay, So I actually decided to follow what Daarji had said to me---to stay away from Maan. I was hesitant to go to his room. We hadn't come face to face after yesterday night's incident.

"Listen Geet! You have to just knock into his room, go inside, get the caterer's number & then walk out! So Simple!!Now Go!!" I devised this plan!

I knocked his room.He answered. I got in. Everything according to the plan!

I saw him busy on his laptop with a very very serious face, probably into some office work. He least bothered to look up at me. Now time for next step of my plan

"I want the caterer's number, I suppose you have it."

I must pat my back!!! This is my first ever statement which I could say to him properly & normally, perhaps because he evinced seriousness in his body language! But his answer deteriorated my plan completely!

"It's in my phone.You can access it." He said in a composed voice still eyeing his laptop.

I was startled.

"I can access your phone?????????You don't mind????????????????????"

"There is nothing personal in it. " He still did not look at me.

I walked upto him, taking his phone which was kept near him on the desk.

Now as per my plan, I was supposed to walk out but instead I began to browse through his messages & images! I believe in exploiting any given opportunity! He did not notice as to what I was doing.

All his messages had nothing interesting, His playlist did not have even one romantic song! Then I began surfing through the images & I was startled to find a pic of a model dressed sexily & giving a seductive look!

"Yeh toh model Simi Singhania hai. Y-Your g-girlfriend?? "

He finally looked at me. I showed it to him. He seemed very much surprised

"Yeh kaha se'Oh God!!!! Annie!!!I will not leave her for this!!!!!!"

"Matlab?"

He rested back on his chair & said, "My sister feels that my personal life is hell boring as I don't have any girlfriend. So she always tries to fix me with someone, this time it's Simi.. This is happening the 100^th time precisely!Aur is baar toh, Annie has crossed all limits!!!" saying that he deleted the pic!

100^TH time??? I believe him!!! I seriously believe him!! Girls would literally die for him but it would not bother him. His one look is more than enough to make any female crazy.

"So Annie hasn't been successful till now?"

"Spare me the horror!"

He was so irritated that he actually got up from his chair & went & sat on his bed back to eyeing his laptop! I giggled.

"You know I actually saw Simi Singhania in real and--"

I waited for him to respond but he hardly paid attention to what I said. Still I continued

"I was in Delhi for my studies & my friend once took me to a huge fashion show where Simi was the show-stopper. We also got a chance to go backstage & there I saw Simi throwing all possible kinds of tantrums. Freak!She was so rude & arrogant. Show ke organizer ko choda hi nahi! "I laughed

"Geet Please! I am doing some work over here! close the Rimi topic, will you?"

"Simi" I corrected.

"Whatever!"

I kept quiet.

"If you want to say anything about yourself then do so, but don't talk about Simi!"

I blinked my eyes various times hearing that. Even he stopped typing for a moment, perhaps realizing what he had just said. Then he looked sternly at me.

"You got the caterer's number, right?? Now go!"

"Thik hai jaa rahi hoon!"

I took his phone & walked out of the room. I felt so happy seeing him behaving like this on hearing Simi's name that I gave a small jump! Annie saw me descending the stairs. She gave me a scornful look! I half-bothered!

After the caterer's number was taken, I went to return Maan's phone to him.But on my way, his phone rang. So I hurried up & handed over his mobile to him. He took the call, his face grew grave instantly'''

Maan's narration is coming soon😳.Also many of you asked me why Daarji doesn't like Maan! Well, sometimes you take an immediate dislike for a person, same case here😉
