Delnaaz Paul has reconciled with her brother Bakhtyaar Irani.
Delnaaz was upset with him for his relationship with Tanaaz Lal, but has now realised that her brother is very serious about Tanaaz and vice versa.
Strong objections
A source tells HiTLIST, "There was a time when Delnaaz had very strong objections against Bakhtyaar and Tanaaz.
When she learnt that the two were in love, she put her foot down and didn't talk to her brother for some time. But now, they have sorted it out. Things are much better now."
Serious matters
When contacted, Delnaaz admitted that she had been upset with her brother.
"To begin with, we thought he was out to have some fun. Plus we felt that he should settle down in his career a little more before indulging in a relationship. We had at least four or five meetings with Bakhtyaar and Tanaaz. Ultimately, we understood that they are very serious about each other. That's it. And at the end of the day, Bakhtyaar is my brother. I really couldn't hold it against him for too long."
The source adds that the real bone of contention was that Tanaaz is a divorcee and a mother. When asked, Delnaaz admitted indirectly, "Let's be honest. We live in India and we are still a conservative society," she said.
Marriage plans
Delnaaz is now backing her brother to the altar. Sometime back, Bakhtyaar and Tanaaz had announced that they would marry by the end of this year or early next year. "He has decided to tie the knot with Tanaaz and our family is with him, but yes, I will add that they should wait for a year more. And that is strictly my personal opinion. If they think otherwise, I am still with them," says the concerned and loving sister.
Bakhtyaar and Tanaaz have been in a relationship for more than a year now.
