Arnav awoke naked the next morning to see the other side of the bed empty. Khushi was taking a shower. He wrenched his head from pain. He had a hangover, but still remembered what had happened last night. He wondered if Khushi did. Did this incident clear all their misunderstandings? Khushi came out of the bathroom and ignored Arnav. She remembered what had happened, but she wanted to erase it. Void it, pretend it never happened. She would not go back to Arnav's life again to ruin it yet again. She packed her bags, and solemnly said, without turning back, "I'm catching an earlier flight than scheduled. You come on your own."

Arnav stood shocked and went to stop her. But she was gone. Again. She left him again. Ending on this note, both returned to Australia.

Australia

Arnav and Khushi remained awkward for days. They didn't talk to each other, neither did they encounter each other. They avoided each other for what seemed like years, but was really days. Then one day, Khushi didn't appear in the office at all. Arnav was shocked, and had kept an eye on the door the whole day. He waited to see her rush in through the door in her clumsy self, saying "Sorry, Arnav ji.. I got late.." But she didn't.

It was 2:30pm and he saw a little girl in a school uniform walk into the office. He was puzzled. He saw her before. He thought hard- where? She was the girl from St. Mary's. What was her name? Oh right, Kirthi! He made his way downstirs when he saw his employee, Muskaan, console her. She was crying. Muskaan turned around and strongly walked up to Arnav, "Where is Khushi? I'm sure you gave her some dangerous task, for which she couldn't even pick up Kirthi. There's a limit to inhumanity.. You didn't let her be a good wife, and you don't let her be a good mother either! What do you think of yourself, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada? You'll make my best friend's life horrible, and I will stand there silent? Take a look at this girl, she is your own blood. She's your daughter. Her real number is Kirthi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada." She went and hugged Kirthi.

Arnav stood aghast. He was a father? He had a daughter? Why hadn't Khushi told him? What was expected of him now? Would he go hug Kirthi? Or we he go look for Khushi? He went over to Kirthi, when Muskaan picked her up. He closed his open hand. Muskaan turned around and noticed Arnav expecting to hug Kirthi and talk to her. She angrily said, "You really think I'm going to let you go near Kirthi and ruin her life too?" A tear left Arnav's eye, when Muskaan walked away with a sobbing Kirthi in her arms. He had literally lost everything today. He had a daughter. Khushi had actually named her Kirthi.

~Flashback~

Arnav lay hugging Khushi on bed. He look down at Khushi, who dug her face into his chest.

Arnav: Khushi, I want a second version of you.

Khushi: Nope, I want a junior version of my laad governor.

Arnav: Maine kaha na? I want a junior you. My sanka devi.

Khushi: But, I want a cute Bunty, who says, "what the" and "unbelievable."

Arnav: You can want that later, but we are having a Kirthi first, jovial and lively like her mother. She should have a cute, red nose like her mother. He nibbled on her nose, while she blushed a pinkish red.

~Flashback Over~

He did matter to her. She had named his daughter Kirthi after what he had wanted. She was just like him. He laughed a sweet laugh. His whole life had come back. He just now needed Khushi to make his life complete. They would be a family of three. They would live in their complex in Australia. They would go on picnics, watch movies, play games, share everything, and love each other for an eternity. He smiled, just at the thought. Khushi still loved him. What hurt him the most was that she thought that he would be happy without her. What was Arnav without Khushi? Stone. Plain stone.

A phone call awoke Khushi from his daydream. He was startled and was expecting to see Khushi's number appear on the phone. She had a habit of doing that. To call him when he was thinking of her. But instead he saw an unknown number, he picked up in a natural tone.

"Is this Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, owner of Allen's Fashion Industry?" said a female voice on the other end.

"Yes." Said an irritated Arnav, who only wanted to look for Khushi and bring her back to his life now.

"Do you a know a Ms. Khushi Kumari Gupta?"

This startled Arnav. "Yes, she's my.. She's my wife." he nervously said.

"She has met with an accident, and I am calling from St. Luke's Hospital. Please come immediately." Arnav dropped his phone in shock. Khushi met with an accident. She was in the hospital.

Arnav started to sob like a child. What if he lost her again? And this time, for good? His whole life would be over. He couldn't live without her. How he lived these four years, only he knew! He died every moment. It felt as if a knife pierced hi heart every second. He clenched his fists. No. No force in the world would separate his Khushi from him. Now, she was not only his wife. She was also the mother of his child. He needed to love them. He screamed on the top of his lungs, astonishing everyone. He was now a tiger awoken from the deep. He would do anything and everything to get his Khushi back. He tossed everything away. He smashed the glass tables and threw all the papers away. There was a possibility that Khushi had left him. Blood gushed out of his hand creating a pool of blood under him. He didn't care. He stormed out of the office. He was going to get his Khushi from the jaws of death.

While doing this, he sobbed. He prayed to his mother and sister, "Ma, di.. Take care of Khushi, please. I cannot bear to see her leave me. I have committed many mistakes. Too many for her to forgive. She may not take me back. But please. Hold on to her. She needs to be alive. I love her."
