Part 11

Anant and Navya looked into each other's eyes and mentally prayed that they were okay. Anant looked around to see if the danger had passed. The rain had also stopped so it would make it easier for them to walk home. Deepak was travelling on the same road as Anant and Navya trying to search for her. "Kaha, ho Navya? Hey Bhagwanji, mere bachi theek ho bas itna hi chahe mujhe!" Deepak was travelling down that road and Anant and Navya were walking side by side. Navya was slowly trailing along while glancing at Anant every few seconds. If it wasn't for him, I would have been dead today for sure. She thought after looking at him again. She saw a light shine of a nearby car and smiled looking at Anant. "Anant woh dekho car agay!" Anant smiled too. Navya tried to stop the car and then she read the number plate it was her Papa's. She gulped. "Anant woh mere papa ki gaadi hai, Anant tum chip jao!" Navya was hopeless. She had to go with her Papa she didnt want to leave his side. Deepak braked his car and looked to see it was Navya. "Navya meri bachi! Tu theek to hai Na?" Deepak looked closely at Navya, looked at her hands everywhere and then looked at her foot it was bleeding. "Navya yeh kya hua? Tujhe chot kese lage!" Anant was hiding behind a shelter watching them both. Navya looked over at Anant. They looked at each other with teary eyes. Navya saw a rickshaw coming. "Rickshaw, rickshaw!" to signal Anant to get in there. Anant understood. Navya hugged her Papa and she watched him get into the rickshaw safely. She closed her eyes in hope that he would be okay. My heart goes dhin tana played. She let go of her Papa. "Papa me theek hu, yeh sab college ki baad hua hum college se nikal hi rahe the phir... protesters nikle aur hum woh ghar me chup Gaye... phir un logo ne aag lagane ki khoshish ki par humne time par nikal gaye ghar se!" Navya realised what she said. Deepak looked at her angrily. "Humne? Aur kon tha tumare saath?" Deepak held Navya's arm. He was worried. "Papa... woh... woh koi bhi nay, sirf me!" Navya looked away and breathed relief. "Theek hai ab hum ghar chale!" Navya and Deepak drove off.

They reached home after 15 minutes and Meeta, Renuka and Dadi engrossed her in tight hugs. They were petrified with what they saw that Navya was stuck and lost. "Navya tu theek hai na beta? Aa bet jaa!" Navya was sat down. Renuka applied ointment on her foot. It stung her a lot and she screamed with pain. "Navi tu theek hai na? Tu fikar mat kar me hoon Na!" Renuka gave her a hug and a kiss on her forehead. Meeta served her tea and dinner to both her and Deepak. "Navya ka le!" Meeta was watching her and she wasn't eating. She was lost in her thoughts. "Navya..." Deepak shouted at her. She started eating a few bites and then her phone buzzed. It was a text. She looked at her phone and she was drinking her tea and she choked on it. She read the sender name and it was "Anant" everyone rushed up to her. "Navya tu theek hai na? Kya hua?" Navya looked around trying to think of an excuse. "Woh... Maa kuch nahin chai garam tha!" she hated lying. Everyone shook it off. She finished her dinner off quickly and stood up to wash the dishes. "Navi tu rehne de me kar lungi!" Renuka took the plates off her and was ordered to rest. Navya went into the room to have a shower but before that she read Anant's message. It read "Hey Navya, hope your okay? Just thought I would text you to see if you got home okay? Thanks for the rickshaw *smiley face* you're the best! X" Navya's eyes bulged out as she read your the best and an "x". There was an automatic smile that emerged on her lips and her eyes sparkled. My heart goes dhin tana played. She examined her mind and wondered whether she should reply. She would reply immediately but she was worried about the "x" should she use that at the end of a text. Kya karu Navya? "X" se reply karu ya nahin, woh kya sochenge hamare bare me! She finally decided that she would reply without an "x" She opened a new message and picked Anant's name. She replied... "Hi Anant I am fine! I got home okay how about you? Are you okay? Were there any problems on the way back? Thanks for all the help, without you I dont know what I would have done! *smiley face*" she blushed as she sent it. Anant was sitting on his bed on his laptop searching for some medical material he was about to go and pick up his printed work when his phone buzzed. He ran up to his phone to see who it was and his eyes lit up as he saw her name. He dropped all his work and jumped on the bed. He opened the message to read it. "Hi Anant I am fine! I got home okay how about you? Are you okay? Were there any problems on the way back? Thanks for all the help, without you I dont know what I would have done! *smiley face*" Anant smiled as he read the reply but was upset that there was no x at the end of the text. His face dropped but he was happy that she replied and said thanks to her. He decided to reply. "I am fine thanks a bit tired but I am glad you got back home okay... No there were no problems it was all fine just the family was a bit worried! Did your Dad say anything to you? It's okay. *smiley face* xx he hesitated to put a kiss at the end. He smirked and put two just to see her reaction. He thought. Maaza aayenge. He sent it off and waited for her reply. He knew she was the type who would get shocked to see "kisses" on the end of texts. Navya came out of the bathroom wiping her face. She looked at her phone to see a message. "I am fine thanks a bit tired but I am glad you got back home okay... No there were no problems it was all fine just the family was a bit worried! Did your Dad say anything to you? It's okay. *smiley face* xx. She read the text and smiled but she looked at the end and saw there were two kisses. She gulped and blushed at the same time. Kya karu, yeh mujhe baar baar kisses kyun bhej raha hai? She walked around the room and wondered what to do. It had been 10 minutes there was no reply. Anant was itching to see her reply. "She replied really sweet and simple "Oh... that's good! No." Navya smiled at her text she wanted to see what he was doing. Actually she asked Ritz how to talk to him. Good job I asked Ritz otherwise I would have answered with full answers! Anant jumped as he heard the bleep. He looked to read the message. He was shocked his eyes bulged out and he didnt know how to reply. He didnt know what to say. Infact he was gobsmacked. He considered replying. He replied back "Good Night!" Navya looked at her phone screen while lying down and she read his reply. She also replied "Good Night!" The night passed and morning bought a new day for Navya and Anant. Navya reached college extremely early and hit the library to do some early revision they had a test in class on cardiology and she needed to prepare for it. She pulled out all her relevant textbooks and started preparing little notes which she can read to herself and also get tested by her friends and family. She spent two hours in there as her lessons started in the afternoon. She was writing away just then Anant walked into the library. She looked up at the creek of the door to find him there. He looked so handsome she thought. His hair was just the right length, silky. He was wearing black jeans and a designer chequered shirt with high tops. He looked so stylish. Navya fixed her eyes and thoughts on him while he was passing all his over- due books. She smiled at his every move and remembered all the moments that they spent yesterday. Anant came walking towards her and she diverted her attention back to her books. "Hey Navya!" Anant called her. He was standing in front of her and she went red in colour. "Hey Anant!" she quickly looked down not meeting eyes with him. Anant narrowed his eye brows wondering why she was so quiet. "Navya what you doing?" Navya looked up at him shocked. "Revising for the Cardiology paper that we have in two days!" Anant looked at her shocked he pulled his phone out to look at the date. "Shit." Anant swore at himself for forgetting. "Anant why are you swearing you shouldn't?" Navya got angry at him. She hated people that swore. It was wrong in her eyes. Anant looked at her. "Sorry!" she smiled. She continued writing and Anant was watching her closely. He started fiddling with all her papers. Navya was watching him with close eyes and then the bell rang for lessons. She quickly picked up all her papers and ran to class. She was a geek when it came to class and she never missed lessons for anything. Anant watched her go out of the library. "Bilkul pagal ladki hai woh!" Navya rushed into class and Anant followed soon after. Classes ran throughout the day and Navya was very quiet throughout the day. Anant's eyes were not concentrating on the board his eyes were always fixed on Navya. The more he tried to draw his attention the closer they got to Navya. Shraddha was noticing this and smiling away. She had the indication that Anant liked Navya alot. The two days slowly drifted away, Navya and Anant were on the phone revising together, the more they talked to each other, and the more they want to be with each other. Their frees, their lunches, their evenings were always together. They had changed from complete strangers to friends and that very close ones.

The morning rose and it was their first exam in class after the summer. Navya was studying early morning in her room. Renuka bought her breakfast in the room for her. "Navi tere nashta tayar hai... ab yeh books ko aram de aur tu yeh parathe aur milk pi le! Tere liye badam bhi hai tere dimaak ke liye achi hai!" she pulled the books away from her hand and passed the milk in her hand. "Di yeh kya hai? Mere paas waqt nahin hai!" Navya moaned as she refused to take the glass. "Navi, yeh kya hai, tu yahan behosh hojayenga toh exam kese likenge, hospital ke bistar par!" Renuka showed a tough expression on her face. Navya couldn't refuse. She drank the milk and slowly ate the paratha with it. After finishing the parathas she grabbed all the books and started reading again "NAVI!" Renuka shouted at her. "Kya hai Di mene kha liya me bohot full ho!" Navya pulled a face at her. Renuka didnt look please. "Badam!" she passed the bowl of badam to her and made her eat at least 5. She finally ate all of them and Renuka started laughing. "Di why are you laughing?" Navya was confused. "I'm laughing at you! You will never change, I dont know how we are going to get a husband for you? I mean when you get married you will just be reading books all time bechara your husband will be thinking did my wife marry me or the books?" Navya stood up on the bed and threw pillows at her. Renuka was running around. Hiccupping with laughter when her phone buzzed. It was on the side table. Navya ran to get it. "Navi!" Renuka didnt reach in time and the phone was in Navya's hand. She looked at the screen and it said one new message from Mohan. "Ey Di mere maazak ura rahe ho toh yeh Mohan kon hai? Oi!" Navya winked at her and she blushed. She threw pillows at her and snatched her phone of Navya. She opened the message and it read. "When do you want to meet today?" her eyes blushed and a small smile crept on her face. Navya was watching her and she jumped off the bed to see her Di. "Di mere pyaare di ko boyfriend hai, uska naam Mohan hai, aaye haye mere Di to bare romantic nikle, chup chup ke romance?" Renuka blushed and pulled Navya away from her. She ran out of the room to face the embarrassment her little sister was giving her. Navya laughed as she left and hit the books again. For some reason from her Di she thought about Anant and a small smile crept on her lips.

Precap: After the exam had finished, the gang decided to go and watch a film. Navya and Anant agreed. Ranbir, Anant, Harry and Sameer bought their bikes and the girls separated and sat on one each. Navya was left to sit with Anant on his bike. She struggled to get on and Anant held her hand for her. Navya felt a bit uncomfortable.
