RK was driving his Mercedes, with Madhu buckled up on the seat beside him. She seemed to be sleeping, but was actually unconscious. An onlooker would have seen them as a young couple having a late night drive. Nothing suspicious. RK smirked to himself. "Madhubala... Ahaan!" He looked to his side, devouring the beauty of Madhu's angelic face.

Madhu opened her eyes to the singing of birds and got the shock of her life. She was in a well decorated room, which screamed 'good taste', everywhere. Everything was impeccable, but the question was how in the world did she get here? It was like waking up into a beautiful dream. She got out of the bed, went near the window, and moved the curtains. The beauty outside mesmerised her senses. Outside her window was a garden full of well-maintained lawns and flowerbeds, but beyond that there were so many trees, as if this place was surrounded by a jungle.

Then suddenly it hit her again, the question as to how she managed to come here. She was still in the clothes from previous night. Suddenly she felt very vulnerable and scared. She rushed to the bedroom door, and tried to open it, which to her surprise opened with a click. She wandered through the house admiring its interior designing. Whoever owned this place had good taste, but to her dismay there was no one in sight.

"Anyone here?" She shouted helplessly, wandering in this unknown house. Finally, she came into what seemed like the main hall. "Somebody? Please, is there anyone here? Please answer me." She screamed, almost ending the last words in a sob.

"Welcome Madhubala!" She shuddered hearing that familiar husky voice. She didn't have to turn to see who that was, but she turned none the less, her blood running cold.

"You?"

"Yes. Me. You seem very happy to see me." He replied sarcastically, with a smirk playing on his lips.

"What are you doing here? Why am I here? H-how did I get here?" Her voice was shaking and her mind was full of questions.

"Whoa, whoa slow down. One question at a time, sweetheart." Rishabh grinned gleefully. "Please, take a seat first and I will explain everything to you." He gestured, a plush chair to her.

Madhubala was in no mood to have a seat, and have a chit chat with this man of all the people, but she felt very weak all of a sudden. She took a seat unwillingly, and kept looking at her feet. She felt very miserable. She wanted to fight and scream at him, but she was scared. She was scared of what he might do if she created a scene.

"So you kidnapped me?" She finally found her voice, after what seemed like an eternity. "Is this your revenge for what happened on the sets?"

"Now, now.. Let's not put it that way. If I kidnapped you, you would be locked inside a room. Would you be wandering around?" He quirked an eyebrow at her.

"So does that mean I can leave?" Madhubala was confused. She badly wanted to leave his presence. She couldn't take his intense stares anymore. She missed her mother. She wanted to go back to her Mallik.

"Why in such a hurry, baby? We haven't even had our talk yet." He looked at her intensely.

"So tell me why am I here?" Madhubala asked impatiently not happy with his name calling. 'Baby? Sweetheart? Who the hell does he think he is?' she thought angrily.

"You know Kuku Bhatia? You know what happened to his sister right? It was all thanks to your Mallik and now he has made you his bait for revenge."

Madhu's eyes widened in shock. "You are wrong. It was never Mallik's fault. They were against Mallik marrying her. They tried to force her to marry this other man, which caused her to suicide. It's their entire fault." Madhu shouted.

"Ok, whatever. I have little knowledge about Bhatia's history and I don't give a damn either. He came to me, requesting to kidnap you since he knows you are my biggest enemy. I'm not a street ruffian going around kidnapping girls. I'm the great RK, but if I refused him, he would have asked someone else to do the job and what would have happened to you?"

Madhubala looked down, taking her eyes away from his intense glare, utterly confused. This man hated her and worried about her at the same time? She continued listening sighing inside.

"They would have tortured and killed you. It's not a difficult task for them to hide a dead body. They don't leave traces."

Madhubala swallowed, not wanting to imagine her cruel fate if someone else kidnapped her. "So why did you help me?" She couldn't help asking.

"Helped you?" He snickered. "I considered it helping myself."

Madhubala looked at him astonished, confused at this retort.

"The whole country knows what happened between us. It was all on newspapers and magazines. So say something happen to you, they would target me as the main suspect." He rolled his eyes.

Suddenly, everything made sense to her. He did this to save his image and reputation, not because he cared for her. 'Ouch! What? Seriously Madhu you thought he cared for you?' Madhu shook her head feeling stupid for even thinking so for an instant.

"What are you thinking Madhubala?" Rishabh broke the silence.

"Nothing." Madhu blushed. "My family must be worried, wondering where I am."

"Oh yes. You better call them before they make a racket. Tell them, your workplace required you to visit a Manufacturer of some products outstation, but you'll be back soon. Go have breakfast. It's ready." He indicated the dining hall. "I'll inform Bhatia I've hidden you in some isolated house in a rural suburb. I'll be back." He left her completely confused by everything happening at the moment.

'This is a nightmare.'
