Sangeeth Sivan's APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY produced by Subhash Ghai will see Shreyas Talpade in a diametrically different avatar. The actor looks very stylish unlike his rustic, naive image post IQBAL. "I have a completely different look in this film. I have worked on my character, body language, looks, etc. Thanks to my costume designer Falguni. She has done a great job. The IQBAL impact was so strong that Sangeeth and Subhashji's wanted to change it. It was entirely their idea. They wanted me to be Arjun Fernandes and not Iqbal. I am glad that people have noticed it and it has been appreciated," says an elated Shreyas.
It has been quite a transition from Iqbal to Arjun Fernandes, the character that he plays in this film. "This is my first commercial Bollywood venture. I play Arjun Fernandes, a simple boy next-door kind of a fellow. He has a garage, loves people and is very attached to his colony friends. His friends are all he has and so he always wants to see them happy and does all that he can. He falls in love with a woman played by Riya Sen but her father (Anupam Kher) doesn't want her to get married to me since he thinks I'm a loafer. Then I call up my cousin played by Ritesh Deshmukh to help me through it," he adds.
Working with an ensemble cast comprising of Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Chunky Pandey, Ritesh Deshmukh, Celina Jaitley, Koena Mitra and Riya Sen must have been exciting. "I mainly had scenes with Riya, Ritesh, Koena and Anupamji. Sunil Anna is a sweet guy. As for Jackie, I hardly had any scenes with him. Initially I was scared and apprehensive since there were so many stars. But everyone really encouraged and supported me. They made me comfortable and boosted my morale. Everyone on sets happily accepted me and I have really enjoyed the whole process." he wraps up.
