My very first story – I've written before (a lot) but this is my first story on IF.
I'm not expecting much feedback or comments :-P I know readers are very picky.
Chapter Two will be posted if response is good.
ArHi SS II Love Song II S-By-S

I learned the hard way
That they all say things you want to hear
My heavy heart sinks deep down under you
And your twisted words, your help just hurts
You are not what I thought you were
Hello to high and dry
- Love Song, by Sara Bareilles
First, he broke her heart.
Then, he fixed it.
_____________________________________________________________Prologue
She thought the night would be perfect. She thought that he would finally accept her love and move forward.
But anyone should know – that just because the day went perfect doesn't mean the night will too.
Humming and jumping, she was on top of the moon. She finally received a promotion, her roommate finally cleaned out her part of the place, her parents called to ask how she is and for the first time, her boyfriend finally asked her out to dinner himself.
She thought the day couldn't get better. She sat on a chair and started waiting for her boyfriend…
Anyone and everyone knew – that she was crazy about him. Since she met him, all she could think was about him. She fell for him at first glance and would do anything for him. And when he finally accepted to be in a relationship with her, she could've died in joy.
But the same couldn't be said about him. He was hard headed, stubborn, arrogant and honestly didn't give a second thought to any girl. But when she pestered him, he went through a moment of sympathy and accepted to be her 'boyfriend'. His late nights with other girls didn't stop but he didn't really care – and she didn't seem to either.
But the only reason she didn't care about those nights was because she didn't know about him. He'd never told her about them but he thought they were obvious. And she thought that it was obvious that he was all hers.
And that wasn't even the last of it. The biggest secret was – he hated her.
From the moment he met her, her loud chatter, her eating, her crazy and carefree self bothered him. Unlucky for him, she fell for him.
He was taken back. She fell for him?! He was sort of proud at first but as time passed – she seemed to fall more and more in love with him. And he detested her a lot more.
He was stuck in this relationship – she was clinging on to this relationship.
Not for long.
Chapter One
The Heart Is a Tricky Organ
"Red is his favorite color – I think this dress would look nice. Ayesha?" She said, looking through her pile of red dresses.
"The left one is better," Ayesha replied. "Khushi, don't you think that… maybe this…-"
"Left one it is," Khushi threw away the whole other pile of clothes back in the wardrobe. "Maybe this earrings as well?"
"Khushi, listen to me!" Ayesha said suddenly.
"What?! Look, I'm getting late!" Khushi retorted, quickly putting her jewelry on.
Ayesha sighed, "Look maybe going isn't such a good idea… I mean, it's him! You can't expect anything from him!"
"Ayesha! He's asked ME for the first time-"
"Exactly! There must be something up!" She protested.
"There's nothing up – you're overreacting!" Khushi argued, rapidly changing her clothes.
"You don't know… Why are you even with him?!"
"Because I love him!"
"But does he love you?! Khushi, take my advice – don't ruin this perfect day. Don't go." Ayesha begged.
"If he doesn't love me then why would he be with me? Of course he does! And this day is perfect because of him! It's not perfect yet! It will be after you let me go!" Khushi quarreled.
"Don't be so blind Khushi."
"I'm not. I'm going and I'll be home soon," she bid goodbye. "And I'll be fine," she added.
***
"Khushi, stop fooling yourself!"
"What… what are you talking about?"
"This! We can't do this anymore! I feel nothing for you – nothing!" He replied, angrily.
"But… but…"
"Listen, there's nothing here for me or you. We'll be better off without each other."
"No!"
"I can't be in relationships. I've been around with other women anyway!"
"What!? You lied to me!" She said, shocked and fuming.
"I didn't lie to you Khushi! You knew!"
"I can't believe this! You devil! How dare you!" She replied, furiously.
"Okay then. I guess this is goodbye."
"I hate you Arnav!" She spat.
"Bye Khushi," he said as he left.
***
She ran on the streets – she didn't know where she was going or what she was going to do. But she needed time on her own.
She trusted him! She loved him!
And he was just an evil spirit.
He lied. He broke her heart.
And now she was running, with a broken heart and lots of tears. Lost in her thoughts filled with venom.
So lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear the truck horning at her.
She got lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, she had no thoughts.
***
"Ms Ayesha Khan?"
"Speaking."
"Your roommate, Ms Khushi Gupta was found unconscious on a street. A truck had hit her."
"WHAT!?"
"She's still unconscious but please come to collect her at Gorgon's Hospital."
"Yes, please, just keep her safe till then!"
***
He went home, satisfied.
No more being stuck in something he didn't want.
No more wasting time.
No more.
But everyone knows – that breaking a heart has a consequence.
Their relationship wasn't done yet.
