Thank you friends for your lovely comments. I am going for a little clich track but please trust me it is more for Maan to prove himself rather than to separate Maaneet.

Ruchshah –I completely agree with you. Even I feel somewhere that I am not doing justice with Rahul's role in this FF. That line could have very well said by Mohinder. But I wanted to show the difference between how parents and siblings react. It sometime's get difficult to give every character space without slowing down the story. But I take your feedback. I will try to add few more Geet-Rahul moments to highlight his thought process though I know I may still not be able to do enough justice.

Anu (Hermoso) – You are the first one who has written a poem for me. Not for my FF but a poem in wait of next update of this FF. I am so touched. So this update is dedicated to you.

With a new zeal, Geet started the car. She was mid way when her phone rang. She saw Rahul's name flashing.

Rahul – "Geet tu kahan hai"

(Geet where are you?)

"I am driving home bol"

"Stop the car at side"

"I have blue tooth on"

"Maine bola na Geet"

(I have told you Geet)

Geet deducted some restlessness in Rahul's voice as if he was trying to control himself. She stopped the car and asked him "Kya hua…tu pareshan lag raha hai."

(What happened? You seem troubled)

"Geet listen to me very carefully. You…you have to be strong for mummy. I know yeh sab sunke tujhe pain hoga lekin please is waqt sirf mummy ka soch."

(Geet listen to me very carefully. You…you have to be strong for mummy. I know you will be sad hearing all this but please, right now just think about mummy.)

Geet was very confused with Rahul's words.

"Tu aise kyon bol raha hai?"

(Why are you saying like this?)

"I can't come right now. You go home and get mom to Apollo hospital."

"Hospital?"

"Dad was having some chest pains so I got him to hospital. He has suffered a minor heart attack."

Geet went in shock and tears came out of eyes.

"Rahul"

"Dekh please control your self. He is ok now. Thik hain woh. But doctor has identified more that 70% blockage in one of his arteries and they want to perform a bypass surgery immediately to avoid any further complications. Operation se pehle dad wants to meet you and mom. Tu please apne aap ko control kar and get Mom to hospital."

Geet started sobbing insistently as Rahul tried to pacify her.

"Dekh, agar tu aise karegi toh mujhe dad ko akele hospital chod ke ghar aana padega."

(Look if you do like this then I have to leave dad alone at the hospital and come home.)

Geet controlled her crying "Nahi. You stay with dad, I am getting mom."

"Drive carefully Geet."

"Bye"

Geet cut the phone and started the engine again. But she could not turn the key because of her shaking hands. She cried bitterly with her face in the hand. Suddenly she heard a beep from text message. She checked her phone thinking it may be Rahul.

Text was from Maan – "How was the exhibition? All well?"

Suddenly Geet felt so lonely and she wanted Maan to be there with her. She did not know it was right or wrong…she did not know if she should or not but her need to be near Maan overpowered her. She called him up immediately.

Maan was in the middle of a meeting but was pleasantly surprised to see Geet's call.

He came out "Geet"

But he was tensed hearing what seemed like sobbing.

"Geet? Kya hua? Tum thik to ho. Are you crying? Geet!!!"

(Geet? What happened? Are you ok? Are you crying? Geet!!!)

For few seconds he heard nothing other than the sound of crying and then heard a soft whisper "Maan"

"Kya hua Geet. Please kuch toh bolo."

(What is the matter Geet? Please say something)

"Maan…papa…papa ko heat attack aaya hai. He needs a surgery. Maan mujhe bahut dar lag raha hai."

(Maan…papa…papa got a heart attack. He needs a surgery. Maan I am very scared.)

Maan was shocked to hear Geet and leaned on the wall to support himself. But from the back ground noise he could make out she was on road and he somehow calmed himself for her

"Geet, dekho kuch nahi hoga papa ko. Sab thik ho jayega. Tum mujhe batao kis hospital mein hein woh aur kaun hai unke paas. Aur mom kahan hain is waqt?"

(Geet, see nothing will happen to papa. Everything will be fine. You tell me which hospital he is in and who is there with him? And where is mom now?)

"Rahul hai unke paas. Mummy ghar pe hain and I need to go home and take her to Apollo. Surgery aaj hi karni hai and dad wants to meet us."

(Rahul is there with him. Mummy is at home and I need to go home and take her to Apollo. Surgery has to happen today itself and dad wants to meet us.)

Maan thought it was better to distract her and give her some confidence. He asked her to wait a second and went inside the room signaling to Adi and Sasha that he is going because of some emergency. He started talking to her as he walked towards his own car.

"Dekho Shona, meri baat dhyan se suno. Dad ko kuch nahi hoga. He is a brave man aur unki beti bhi bahut bhadoor hai. Isliye sambhalo apne aap ko. Tumhaari har zaroorat mein mom and dad have been there with you. Right now your mom needs you. So I want to see my mature and responsible Geet who will calm down and drive home and take mom to hospital. You need to give her support Geet and mein keh raha hoon na tumehien. kuch nahi hoga dad ko. Hmmm"

(Please Shona, listen to me carefully. Nothing will happen to dad. He is a brave man and his daughter is also very brave. So please control yourself. Mom and Dad have been there with you in in your every need. Right now your mom needs you. So I want to see my mature and responsible Geet who will calm down and drive home and take mom to hospital. You need to give her support Geet and I am telling you right that nothing bad will happen to dad. Hmmm)

Geet calmed down a little bit hearing his words and nodded her head.

"Chalo ab wipe your tears like a good girl.

Tum mumma ko lekar aao and I am also reaching hospital. And I am on phone with you till you reach home."

(Come on, now wipe your tears like a good girl.

You get mumma and I am also reaching hospital. And I am on phone with you till you reach home.)

Geet wiped her tears and took a swig of water. She drove calmly with Maan talking to her on Bluetooth. He kept on asking her about where she was, what was dad's condition and her exhibition to keep her stable.

Finally Geet reached home and cut the call. She entered home to see her mom drinking tea.

Rano looked up to see pale looking Geet with eyes all red.

"Geet kya hua…yeh kya haal bana rakha hai"

(Geet what's wrong…why are you in such a state.)

"Mumma aap chalo mere saath abhi."

(Mom you need to come with me right now.)

"Are lekin hua kya hai…phir se ladaai hui hai teri Maan ke saath?"

(Are, but what is the issue…did you fight again with Maan?)

Geet just dragged her mom and made her sit in the car and drove away in silence. Rano tried to ask her what was wrong but Geet could not gather courage to tell her anything in the car lest she broke down herself.

Rano was more worried when they reached hospital.

"Geet…aakhir baat kya hai. Hum yahan hospital kyon aaye hain."

(Geet…what is the matter. Why are we here at a hospital?)

Finally Geet spoke – "Dad ko heat attack aaya hai. Surgery karni padegi"

(Dad has got a heart attack. He needs surgery.)

Rano's eyes widened. Geet held her hands as her own tears started coming out. "Mumma…please app dheeraj rakho. Is waqt papa humara intezaar kar rahe hain…please"

(Mumma…please keep you calm. Papa is waiting for us right now…please)

Rano came out of the car and ran inside. She just wanted to see her husband. Geet ran after her and guided her to the room.
