The beauty of a woman

All were shocked seeing Geet enter wet and so happy but Rano was now sure something was fishy.

She asked her as Geet crossed her "Beta tum bheeg kaise gayi?"

[Beta, how did you get all wet?]

Geet answered without thinking as she was still under Maan's spell – "Woh Maan se milne mein…."

[In meeting Maan…]

Geet eyes widened and she gulped her saliva as she finally realized what she said.

She turned around to see her family all staring at her.

Rano closed the distance – "Chup kyon ho gayi beta…Maan se milne mein what?"

[Why have you become quiet? In meeting Maan what?]

Geet – "Woh Mom woh, Maan bahar wait kar rahe the toh meine socha neeche hi good night wish kar deti hoon nahi toh woh bahut zaydaa bheeg jayenge"

[Woh Mom woh, Maan was waiting outside so I thought that let me wish him good night from there only otherwise he will get soaked.]

"Good night wish karne ke liye aaye the Maan?"

[Maan came to wish you Good Night]

"Ji"

"Ji…matlab"

Geet responded hesitatingly - "Woh roz mujhe good morning and good night wish karne ke liye aate hain"

[He comes daily to wish me good morning and good night.]

Rano was surprised but Mohinder and Rahul were just dazed. Geet looked at their expressions and clarified - "Woh…he just wishes me….that's all."

Mohinder now came closer – "He did not want this relationship and we gave him freedom. Now why is he coming after you? What does he want to prove? And he thinks by wishing you two times a day he can get your forgiveness and trust."

"I don't know all that dad. All I know is ki since the time I have met him, he has been very reserved. He doesn't express much but nowadays I feel as if he is trying to tell me what he feels. He has taken care of me before also but first time, he is going out of his way to make me feel special…make me feel loved…or just plain simple wanted.

Mein kya karoon Dad…kya karoon. Maybe I am melting…maybe I want to give him another chance….apni zindagi ke liye har koi ladtha hai dad…and he is my life."

With that tears fell from Geet's eyes and she ran to her room.

Rano caressed Mohinder's arm – "Yeh un donon ke beech ki baat hai….humein un donon ko hi suljhane deni chaiye."

Mohinder was thinking but Rahul was still very angry.

"Mom, aap toh humseha se hi Maan ki side leti aayi ho but I do not trust that man with my sister anymore."

"How can you say that? Main uski side nahi hoon Rahul….mein apni beti ki side hoon. Jab usne mujhe pehle yeh sab bataya tha tab use door jaane mein is se kam dard hota…kam complications hoti. Mera dil toh kiya tha ki mein use apne aanchal mein chupa loon but life is not that simple. They are married and she has every right to choose the path she wants. Hum sirf uska saath de sakte hain kyonki humaare liye uski happiness apni ego, hurt and respect se kahi badi hain"

Next Day

Geet reached gallery and her eyes started looking for Maan. She found him coming towards her with a smile and a bouquet.

Geet wished him "Good Morning"

"Good Morning. This is for you"

Geet caressed the beautiful flowers in her hand.

"Yeh?"

"These are camellia flowers. They are known for their good luck charm. Aaj tumhaari painting exhibition hai for abc company project. I am sure everyone will love your work and this is just an additional wish from my side."

Geet was very touched by Maan's gesture.

"aapko kaise pata?"

[How do you know?]

"Tumne hi toh bataya tha London jaane se pehle….bhool gayi…coffee peete waqt"

[You only told me before I went to London…you forgot…while having coffee?]

Geet was surprised that he remembered and got her flowers.

"Aap ko yaad tha? Mujhe toh laga tha ki mein hi bolti rehti hoon aur aap kuch sunte hi nahi ho."

Maan smiled at her cute complaint – "Jaanta hoon ki aaj tak tumhein kabhi kuch kaha hi nahi aur jo kuch kaha galat kaha. Lekin, it is a fact that our coffee time is very special to me. It takes away all my tensions. I miss it a lot. Maine humseha tumhaari baat suni hai bas shayaad kabhi jataya nahi.

Geet smiled as Maan waved her a bye and left. Her day indeed went very well with client very happy with her paintings. But more than that she was filled with happiness and a new hope had made space in her heart. Even stronger than before, she was gripped with a new determination to make this relationship work.

She sat in the car at the end of the day and lovingly caressed the flowers. She inhaled the aroma.

"Maan mein kitni budhu hoon. Maine humesha yehi chaha ki aap mujhe apnayein…pyaar karien. Aur aaj jab you are ready toh mein peeche hat rahi hoon. After a long time I am getting what my heart truly desires than why this hesitancy. I need to grab this opportunity to fulfill all my dreams and fill my life with your love.

I am sorry Maan for hurting you lekin I can not stay away from you any more. Jitna expect kiya tha use se kahi zaydaa aapne mujhe diya hai…ab aapki Geet aapse kabhi door nahi jayegi.
