CHAPTER 27

NK then understood what was going on. He felt embarrassed. He sat opposite Arnav and Lavanya took the seat beside him. They had a small chat during the breakfast and then the two girls were taken to the kitchen by Anjali for the rasms.

"Khushi so you will be preparing jalebis as usual right?"

"Na Di I was thinking of preparing some other sweet dish"

"Thats your wish Khushi, but still you should make jalebis also along with that. You don't know how much we missed your jalebis"

"Really, then I will be preparing them. What are you going to make Lavanya?"

"I will make Gajar ka halwa. OK?"

"OK"

"So, jalebi, gajar ka halwa and gulab jamun"

"Why that?" Anjali asked

"Because jiji loves them."

They prepared the dishes and also lunch.

All came down and occupied the positions. They had lunch and now it was time for the sweet dishes.

"Chotte and NK bhai, you have to guess from among the 3 dishes on who prepared what"

Arnav looked at the 3 items in Front of him.

"DI without even tasting I can blindly say that the jalebis are made by Khushi" Arnav said

"Yeah di Khushiji would have made the jalebis" NK agreed.

"wow Chotte you are absolutely right in that, but NK guess what dish did your wife prepare"

"Di shall we taste first?" NK asked.

"No ...!!!!!!!!"

Arnav looked at the dishes. There was a bowl in which gajar ka halwa was placed while gulab jamun was placed in two bowls.

"Di we need to taste.. please" NK said

"Anji, let him taste...!!!"

"OK NK bhai you can"

NK started tasting the gulab jamuns and gajar ka halwa. He had tried a lot of times and couldn't make out. Finally he thought that since he loved gulab jamuns may be Lav must have made that for him.

"DI, Lav has made this gulab jamuns."

"No NK, its my Khushi who made Gulab jamuns not Lavanya."

Khushi was happy while Lavanya felt sad her husband failed again.

"How can you say that Nannav, you haven't even tasted them?"

"I can NK, I'm always right"

"This time you are wrong..!!!"

"No way NK, I'm damn sure that these Gulab jamuns are made by Khushi..!!!" He said and stood up.

The whole family was amused on how Arnav understood Khushi so well.

"Ok DI you tell us who has made what"NK said.

"NK bhai first tell me why do you think that Lavanya made Gulab jamuns???"

"Di there are 2 reasons 1^st is that there is some defect in the gulab jamuns they are not so good and 2^nd is that I love gulab jamuns so maybe my lovely Lav prepared it for me"

The family had a laugh while they heard the 1^st reason while Lavanya glared at him.

"NK bhai I'm really sorry to say that you are wrong. The gulab jamuns were actually made by Khushi."

NK was dumbfounded.

"Nannav how did you guess it without tasting?"

"NK that was really simple for me. The gulab jamuns were placed it two bowls, that meant one was obviously sugar free, the ones which you almost finished while tasting , made especially for me."

"Oh too good...!!!"

The whole family had dessert and then retired for an afternoon nap.

"Arnav, thanks. You guessed everything right.!"

"Come on Khushi after all I'm your husband. I know you better than you know yourself and for you the first priority is me and my well being...!!!"

"Oh really? Then what is your first priority?"

"Shall I tell?"

"Yeah of course ...!!!"

But before Arnav could answer his phone rang. He was about to ignore it.

"Arnav pick up the phone"

"Khushi it might be Aman...!!!"

"What if it is someone else?"

"If it is him, I'll go to the office and kill him"

Khushi took the phone. It was Khushal.

"Hello bhai"

"Hello Khushi. i thought that you must have forgotten us."

"BHAI"

"where is Arnav?"

"Ek minute bhai, I'll put the phone on speaker..!!!"

"Hello Khushal, I've to tell you , you have god a very bad timing...!!!"

"Really? Then I'll tell you something else, I'm going to come tomorrow to pick up Khushi for Pak-Phere..!!!"

"What the...???"

"Not what the Arnav. That is a custom which needs to be followed" Riana said

"Ok, then I'm also coming. BTW this Saturday I'm , sorry, we are leaving for Paris on honeymoon"

"WHAT???" Khushi asked.

"Oh shit...!!!"

"What happened Arnav?" Khushal asked.

"This is all because of you KHUSHAL. That was meant to be a surprise for Khushi and you. You wait, I'll settle the accounts tomorrow...!!!"

"Ok then my job is finished. Bye Khushi take care. Arnav you better take care of her else...!!!"

"Else what?"

Khushi glared at him.

"Else she will TAKE CARE of you...!!!"

"I think she is already doing it." Arnav said and cut the call.

They had by now forgotten what they were talking about and they had a nice sleep.

They had the evening tea together. But Anjali was missing.

"Arjun where is Di?"

"Actually Arnav, she was feeling bad that after Khushi came back to your life you have started ignoring her, so she is not here...!!!"

"What ? DI is thinking something of that sort? How can that be?"

The whole Raizadas were shocked. Khushi's eyes welled up.

Arjun was noticing each and every person and especially Khushi. He burst out laughing.

"Look at you Khushi... and you Arnav. I got you both...!!!"

"What???"

"Did you really think I was serious? I was just joking...!!!"

"You...!!!"

The whole family felt relieved.

"Where is Di?"

"She is resting. She was feeling a bit tired after all these work and so I thought she needs to sleep. So I came down without disturbing her...!!!"

"Oh really???" Anjali said while walking down the stairs.

"Anji you woke up?"

"Yeah. Or how else would I be here?"

"Di, are you Ok? You are looking tired"

"Yeah chotte.."

Before she could complete her sentence she started feeling dizzy and was about to collapse on the floor but Arjun and Arnav held her.

"I'll call the doctor" Akash said while the others took Anjali to her room.

The doctor came.

"please can you all go out so that I can examine her?"

"Yeah sure" Arjun said and led Arnav out from there. Khushi stopped with the doctor in case she needed any help.

The doctor smiled at Khushi and she got it. She would become a maami soon.

She opened the door and Arnav rushed inside to meet his Di leaving others behind.

"Doctor is everything alright?"

"Haan Arnav everything is perectly fine" Khushi said.

"Actually what had happened to Di?" Arnav asked

"Ask you best riend Arjun. Its all because of him"

"What? What did I do?"

Khushi burst out laughing

"Arnav maama, everything is because of my papa, but please don't bash him up" Khushi said in a childish tone.

The whole family was overwhelmed especially Arjun. Anjali was awake by now. Arjun and Arnav hugged her. All of them present congratulated the pair.

"Khushi bitiya is back home and so is all the happiness in this house" Naani said and all others including maami agreed. Khushi felt elated.

"I think we should leave them alone?"

"Right Khushi, congrats again Di and Arjun"

They all left the couple to share the happiness together.
