Geet played smart, "kyun..jab tu gf rakh sakta hai tho why cant Roops have a bf??? Grow up man.."
She walked away leaving prem all mad, confused and irritated!!!
The day was bad for Anisha! 1st of all, she couldn't sleep the whole night because of Maan…she was actually busy thinking about him (lol), 2nd—when she got to college, the 1st thing she saw was Maan early morning and she knew it was going to be a lost case, 3rd—she was so lost in him that she didn't even realize when and how they had walked in together and if people had seen them like that… it was embarrassing, 4th—her friends had indeed seen them like that and were teasing her big time and 5th—she couldn't stop her mind or eyes wander towards him!
She sighed and rested her head on the table and closed her eyes.
Anisha (st): ye humare saath kya ho raha hain? Aankehin band karun tho Maan nazar aate hain aur aakhien kholun tho bhi Maan hi nazar aate hain..hey bhagwan aise mein tho hum pagal ho jayenge!!!
Maan was passing by when he saw her resting her head on the table and mumbling something to herself. He wondered if she was okay.
Maan: umm Anisha…
She didn't open her eyes . she didn't even listen to him and kept up with her mumbling.
Anisha: aaj tho had ho gayi! Anisha madam aap na aise hi ek din mental asylum shift ho jayengi…
Maan looked ta her, arching his brows, "Anisha… you there?"
She still didn't hear him.
Anisha: humare friends bhi aaj tease kar rahe hain. Humara tho din hi kharab hain aaj…kisi se baat bhi tho nahi kar sakte hain na!! arey haan…geet…
Maan (loudly): ahem ANISHA THAKUR…..
She angrily twitched her brows.
Anisha: uff.. hum sach mein pagal ho jayenge… hume tho unki awaz bhi sunai de rahi hai..shoo shoo go away..
Maan finally lost it. Something was definitely wrong with her today!!
Maan: ANISHAAA….tum sun rahi ho?
She got irritated. She stood up angrily and faced towards the voice, thinking it to be a fragment of her imagination and shouted, "aapko chain nahi mila ke aap yahan byhi hume pareshan karne aa gaye?"
Maan(angry): tumhe ho kya gaya hain? You are behaving strangely.. look at me here damn it!
She jumped hearing him shout and slowly opened her eyes obny to see his angry face.
Maan shook his head, "tumhara dhyan kahan hai? I have been calling you from such a long time and tum ho ki.. arrghh leave! Tummhe doubts the na thermodynamics mechanisms ke?
Anisha closed her eyes, cursing her luck. Today was indeed a very bad day.
Anisha (st): hey bhagwaan..aaj tho aap hum par kuch zyada hi meherbaan hain! Kya zarurat thi Maan ko iss waqt humare paas bhejne ki?
She made a cute baby face, knotting her dupatta and looked up and then down. Maan was surprised to see her behaving weirdly. Normally, she is the etiquette queen, sober and calm and knows how to keep herself in check… and no one can bet on that! but today.. she was not being herself and he was not liking it.
Maan: Anisha.. tum theek tho ho?
Anisha looked down, feeling really ashamed of her behavior, "ji..ji han wo doubt…
Maan: nahi rehne do… baad mein dekhte hain..
Anisha looked at him, "n..nahi hum theek hain… aaj hi.."
Maan took a step back, "take it easy Anisha.. tell me if you are in any problem!!! You don't seem to be keeping well I guess. Tum rest karo hum kal padhenge..bye!"
He walked off without letting her speak anymore. She felt defeated and sat on her chair, sighing sadly, "aaj humara badluck sach mein kharab hain… tch..hum geet jaise baatein karne lage hain..uff!!! hum pagal ho chuke hain!!"
She called up geet and asked her to meet near the basket ball court in 10 minutes. She has to talk or else she will go mad now!
Both the girls sat on the grass, under a tree near the basketball court, talking.
Anisha:…. Ab aap hi bataiye geet,, hum kya karein? Hume doubts bhi clear karne hain aur Maan tho bhaag gaye!!
Geet madam was laughing like a maniac.
Anisha (cutely): aap hum par hans rahi hain geet?
Geet tried to control, "no no..not at all di…!!! Am laughing on Maan actually.. bechara darr gaya hoga…." And she again burst out laughing.
Anisha: geet.. aap humara mazak bana rah hain na!!!
Geet: no..never diii… meri aise zuraat? Maan mujhe maar dalega!!
Anisha felt better.
'han ab theek hain. Par geet humare boubts ka kya? Hum to ab unhe pooch bhi nahi sakte..wo kya soch rahe honge humare bare mein! He was he one who agreed to help us out and humari wajah se he actually ran away. We never felt so helpless!!!
Geet (st): haiyo rabba itni sharm haya..aise mein tho inka kuch nahi hoga!!!
Anisha: geet… are you even listening?
Geet: hmmm….i am listening.
Anisha: tho humari help kijiye na… aap ytho Maan ki sabse achi dost hain na… unse baat kijiye na please… aur he had to explain me that chapter.. and now we're sure he won't even listen to us now/.
Geet: di..di..dii relax! Kuch nahi hoga… meon abhi ussey baat karti hun..! aap bekar ka hi tension leti hain.
She took her cell and called him but no response. She called 2-3 times but still no response.
Geet; ehh le.. sir ka no response!
Anisha: ab hum kya karein?
Geet thought for a while, "di.. we can do one thing..you get ready with your books tomorrow and be in the library after your class.. I'll ask him to go there.
Anisha: aapko yakeen hai wo aapki baat sunegne??
Geet: he has no other choice di..he has to warna uski khair nahi!!!

It is tough being a princess and Anisha was no exception. You enjoy royalty, thousands of servants at your feet, fame and dignity are your birth right…but does that really make you happy?
Anisha sat quietly, eating her dinner. Her mom and dad sat with her on the table, eating their dinner quietly with utmost courtesy and etiquette. There was a pin drop silence. Anisha looked around. There was no talks.. no masti mazak..very unlike from what she has heard from her friends. There were servants surrounding them with bowls of eatables ready on their hands, scared to look up at their master…she didn't like it. She wanted to speak out her heart to her mom..like all her friends do… jump around in happiness, scream out loud…but she couldn't. from the very beginning of her life, she had been taught that such stuffs do not suit a princess…screaming and shouting in joy is what the commoners did..! it was a disgrace to the royals.
She finished with her food and got to her room. She couldn't study.. she was disturbed with whatever happened today and what she wanted to do. She finally decided to catch some sleep…switching off the lights, she stared at the dark ceiling of her roof!
Anisha: why can't we be like normal people? Why are we a princess? We can't shout when we are happy…we can't cry when we are sad..and Maan… we can't be as free with him as geet. Aaj agar Maan humse naraz hain tho sirf humare khud ki galti ki wajah se!!! itni saari bandishine kyun hain humare liye?
She closed her eyes as tears rolled out.
"hum apne mann ki baat kisi se kabhi khul ke nahi keh sakte… hume ghutan hoti hain aise…"
There was a pin drop silence…the room was dark and there was an urge to break free.
Meanwhile at KM
Geet barged in shouting, 'anarkali….anarkali…."
She threw her bag on the couch. Dadima was delighted to see her.
Dadima; geet beta aap..
Geet (cutting in): Dadima.. aapne anarkali ko dekha?
Dadima: what? Anarkalli?? Who anarkali?
Geet hit her head, "I mean Maan ko dekha?"
Dadima started laughing, "ye naam aap hi ne rakha hai na?"
Geet: hmm..dadima bataiye a Maan kahan hai??
Dadima: as usual apne kamre mein..
Geet moved ahead jumping on the stairs when nakul called from behind, "geet baby… dinner laga doon??"
She ran up the stairs shouting, "Maan ke kamre mein le aana kaka…"
She kicked open the door and found him lying on the floor on his stomach, solving a problem. He saw geet and concentrated on his studies. Geet went to him and slept on his back, keeping her head on his shoulder. He smiled a bit, being reminded of their childhood when she used to make him "ghoda" forcibly and sit on him shouting "chal mere ghode tik tik tik…."😆
Maan: geet…tu moti ho gayi hai….
He spoke without breaking his concentration from his problem. This was not a new thing to them and there was nothing to feel akward about.
Geet; ohh aisa kya??? Tu hi jhel! Waise kya kar rhaha hai?
She got one of his magazines kept beside and flipped through the pages, lying on him.
Maan (lost): ummm.. just solving a question… disturb mat kar tu…
Geet: mujhe tujhse kuch zaruri baat karni thi..
Maan: eeehhh apne baal hata re.. they are irritating.
Geet had really long hair and they were falling on his eyes. He moved them away. She quietly pulled away her hair and spoke up, "kal tu anisha di se mil raha hai library mein and you are teaching her what you were supposed to today!"
Maan instantly stopped writing, "what??"
He turned in a jerk and she fell flat on the floor.
Geet: aaahhh be.. tu mujhe maar dalega kya??
Maan: kal library mein? Kisne bataya?
Geet (proudly): meine! Ab please tu over react mat kar na.. she will be waiting!!!
Simultaneously,
Anisha tried to sleep but she couldn't. she changed her sides restlessly…her eyes were closed but she wasn't at peace. Suddenlu she heard someone call her, "Anisha.. utho…..Anisha…"
She slowly opened her eyes and turned on the bed lamp, looking here and there.
Anisha: kaun? Whos there?
Voice: its us Anisha… look here!
She turned towards the voice only to see what her eyes wouldn't believe. She saw her very own self standing in front of her…smiling. She looked so cute in her pink-blue salwar suit..she was vibrant and cheerful. Anisha somewhere got scared.
Anisha: wh..who are you? And what are you doing in out room?
The girl twirled around her room enjoying herself, "tumne hume pehchana nahi Anisha??"
Anisha shook her head. The girl laughed…it echoed in her room.
Girl: hum tho tumhari parchayee hain… hum tumhara mann hain Anisha… jise tum humesha kaid karke rakhti ho…
Anisha: what? Do you think us a fool?
Mann: yes you are!!! Bcause tum kabhi apne mann ki baat nahi sunti..
Anisha made a face, "hume nahi sunni tumhari baat!!1 humesha hume problem mein phasa deti ho! Aaj tho tumhari wajah se Maan naraz ho gaye humse.."
Mann giggled, "serves you right anisha… waise bhi maan se kaafi darti ho tum….unke saamne tumharo bolti band ho jati hain"
Anisha (cutely): aisa nahi hain…
Mann: acha ji..to phir kaisa hain?
Anisha: wo baar baar tum hi tho unke bare mein sochti rehti ho!!!
Mann: Anisha.. sochne ka kaam dimag ka hain..humara nahi!!
Anisha rolled her eyes, "tumse tho baat hi karna bekar hain..har baat ka ulta jawab deti ho tum..! hum waise bhi pareshaan hain..aur mat karo hume. Bye!"
She pulled the duvet to her head and slept off.
NEXT DAY
Anisha waited anxiously for Maan in the library. There was a pin drop silence. She was thankful to god that mann didn't show up after last night. The weather was very romantic..windy and cool…the sky was overcast with dark clouds…it might rain.
She couldn't blink her eyes the moment she saw Maan enter the place. He looked so handsome in his black skin fit shirt and denim jeans…outlining most of his features!! Woah..for the 1st time Anisha ever noticed his physical appearance. She was always attracted towards his personality. He sat beside her, 'shall we begin?"
Anisha (lost): umm..
He started explaining her the important points. Anisha listened carefully. For some reasons, her eyes looked at the girl standing behind Maan. Her eyes widened in horror..it was mann!!! Ohh god.. what was she doing there??? Mann gave her a cute look and looked at Maan with all the love Anisha had hidden inside her.

She twirled around giggling…Anisha was scared. What of someone saw her like that? she gestured her to stop dancing. Mann ignored and continued her rhythm.

She snapped, "umm yeah we are.."
Mann was lost in her own world…dancing to her own tune…swaying to her own music. The bell rang. Maan and Anisha had classes. They stoppd there and walked out. Anisha followed Maan nervously through the corridor, looking at mann. She found her in the lawn beside, dancing, swaying her dupatta in the air. It had started drizzling.

It had started puring in a matter of seconds. Students ran into their classes who were out in the lawn but mann stayed back. the corridor was wet and slippery. Maan turned around to see if she was okay. She had been behaving strangely. Anisha was lost watching mann and that's when she slipped. Maan, as a reflex, caught hold of her hands and his other hand went around her waist to prevent her from falling. Anisha heard nothing and saw nothing beyond Maan. Each passing day, the urge to break free and the longing for Maan was rising. Time just stood still for her.
Mann saw then like that. she ran to them, dancing around then, twirling happily. She was completely drenched due to the rain..but the glow on her face was something beyond comparison. She ran back to the lawn, jumping in the small puddles formed due to the rain.

She came back to reality and immediately straightened herself.
Anisha: ye…yeah we're okay…thank you…
Maan: chalo class ka time yho gaya hain…
Anisha looked at mann still jumping in the rain and again looked at Maan.
Anisha: aap chaliye..hum thodi der mein aate hain.
Maan shrugged and walked ahead. Anisha stood beside a pillar, holding it, looking at mann. She looked so happy,….so content…she had never seen her like that..as free as a bird.

A smile touched her lips. Anisha was surprised at her own realization. Mann was none other than she, herself.. and whatever mann did was what she had always secretly dreamed of..imagined herself at her place countless number of times…to shout out when you are happy… to dance in the rain.. to laugh freely..no worries about being the princess..no worries about what people might think of your family.. and the most important part—she knew what she wanted—Maan!
