Chapter 2

Khushi was laying on her bed. Jeevika and Garima was sitting near Khushi. Shashi (Khushi's Dad) was sitting on a chair. Other members of family were sitting on the sofa and other members were standing near to Khushi's bed.

Khushi ko hosh aata hai. Gauri Chachi said happily... - Khushi ko hosh aa gaya hai!

Everyone stood up. Bua asked to Khushi - Itni late ghar kyon ayee aur tum behosh kaise ho gayi thi...??

Garima said - Woh Khushi thaki [tired] huyee si lagh rahi hai, yeh saare sawal jawab baad mein bhi toh ho sakte hain naa...?

Shashi said -Nahin Garima! Khushi ko abhi jawab dena hoga. Kahan thi tum Khushi?

Khushi remembered that Payal requested her to don't tell to anyone that whats happened so Khushi said in low tone..." Main ...main... jab college se ghar aayee toh darwaze ke samne maine ek snake dekha, Aap ko toh patta hai na mujhe janwaron se kitna dar laghta hai ...aur...woh...woh...kaafi bada sa tha...toh bas main usse dekh kar daar se behosh ho gayee."

Khushi's Dadi said - Achha! ab neeche chal kar khana khaa lete hain. Jo bhi hua usse ek hadsa samajh kar bhool jana chahiye.

Other members agreed with Dadi.

On dinning table. Everyone was eating dinner. Khushi was lost in her thoughts... " Main ghar kaise aayee? Main toh jungle mein thi...? phir...? yahaan kaise...?? Pata nahin... Kaun laya hoga? lekin Thank God main uss jungle se bach kar aa gayee. "

Akash (Khushi's couzin) asked to Khushi in very concerned tone - Tum ab kaisa feel kar rahi ho?

Khushi said -Main theek hoon Akash!

Lavanya said - Agar Khushi kissi ko pata na chalta aur tum sari raat bahar hi behosh padi rehti, toh?

Lavanya laughed but Khushi wasn't in a good mood. Khushi gave her a fake smile. Other family members ignored their conversation and were busy in their own conversations.

Next day, It was 6 am. Khushi was sleeping And again she had a nightmare:

She was running and shouting " Please help me! Mujhe bacha lo! "

Someone was following her. She was very tired and her heart was beating so fast like a horse doing a race.

Suddenly, she turned to see the person who was following her. It wasn't a person, it was a dog.

Khushi screamed and she woke up. Her sister Jeevika also woke up and she asked her in very worried tone - Khushi! tum theek toh ho naa? Kya hua...?? Koi bura khwab dekha...??

Khushi said in very scared tone - Main...main theek hoon.

Jeevika asked - phir se koi ajeeb sa sapna to nahi dekh liya?

Khushi answered in very worried tone -Haan di!

Jeevika said -Tumhein ajeeb sapne tabhi aate hain jab tum kissi baat ki wajh se pareshaan rehti ho ! Mujhe batao... kya baat hai?

Khushi said - Nahin di! aisi koi baat nahi hai. Pata hai aur 6 din reh gaye hain phir aapka 'roka' ho jay ga aur kucch hi dinon baad shaadi ki rasmein... phir shaadi, toh main baas yehi sochti hoon aaj kal... Aapke bagair sab kitna soona-soona sa lagega.

Jeevika said - Please Khushi! Abhi toh kaafi time hai! iss sabke baare mein soch kar apna aur mera mood mat kharab karo. Main so rahi hoon, tum bhi soo jao! thodi hi der mein subah ho jaayegi... phir toh uthna hi hai...

Jeevika slept. Khushi thought " kuchh toh bura hone wala hai, tabhi aise ajeeb sapne aa rahe hain, lekin main bhi Khushi hoon, Itni jaldi haar nahin maanoongi... "

Next Day

It was 3pm, after the dinner. The whole family and Maanvi were going to mandir for a pooja " ghar ki sukh-shanti" and especially for Jeevika's future wedding.

The families boys were wearing white kurta and kameez and womens (Garima, Chachi, Bua, Dadi) were wearing sarees. Jeevika was wearing a red salwar kameez, Lavanya, babli and Maanvi were wearing also salwar kameez.

Khushi was wearing a orange saree. She was looking very very gorgeous.

In mandir. Everyone was sitting in the 'Pooja' but, then they noticed that they forgot 'Bhoj'.

Dadi said to Garima - Koi bhi kaam achhe se nahin hota. Tumhara dil nahin tha to keh deti, main khud kar leti.

Garima didn't say any single word to her. Khushi hate when someone talk rudely with her mom. Khushi said - Dukaan sidhiyoon [Stair] ke paas hi hai... Main... main abhi le aati hoon.

Shashi said - Haan thodi hi der mein pooja shuru hone wali hai, jaldi le aao!

Shyam said - Khushi ! main bhi tumhare saath chalta hoon.

Khushi and Syham were in shop. Khushi was busy to buying 'bhoj' and Shyam was on his phone.

Shyam said to someone in very anger tone - Maine tumse kaha na ke main apni family ke beech mein hoon. Baar-baar messages mat bhejo. Main tumhein thodi der baad milne aata hoon

on the other side of the phone, A girl said - Fine! main thak gayee hoon... Kab tak iss rishte ko aise chhupate raheinge? Main ab tumhein phone nahin karoongi aur tumhein bhi yahaan aane ki zaroorat nahin!

Shyam said - Ishita... Ishita.. listen to me...

Ishita cuted his phone. Khushi asked to Shyam - Ishita naraz ho gayee na?

Shyam was angry and he said - Haan baat baat pe attitude dikhati hai !...Main toh pareshaan ho gaya hoon...

Khushi said - Shyam! Tum jis tarah usse baat karte ho waise toh woh naraz hi hogi naa. She really loves you, kissi se pyar karne ka matlab sirf romance hi nahin hota, ek dosre ko khush bhi rakhna padta hai.

Shyam said - You really think that, isse hamare relation pe koi asar padega?? Rehne do Khushi! tum kuch nahi janti akhir tumhein kabhi pyar jo nahi hua

Shyam said this and He took the 'bhoj' from her hand and he goes to the 'pooja'. Khushi lost in her thoughts " Pyar hua bhi tha aur dil bhi toota tha, issi liye to yeh keh rahi hoon, ek dusre ko khush rakhna bohot zaroori hota hai iss rishte mein... Agar Virat ne bhi yeh kiya hota toh ...shayad aaj... "

Suddenly a tear falls from her eye. Then she cleaned and she said " Don't think about him Khushi... He was only my 'Bad' dream... "

Khushi was going in the 'pooja', Suddenly she slipped on the stairs. A guy came and tooks her hand. He was none other than Arnav. He pulled her forward. She was just so scared and her eyes was closed. Arnav was going from there. Khushi opened her eyes. She just could see his back.

She said softly - Thank You !

He didn't reply and he goes from there.

Khushi thought " Pata nahin kaun tha ?? Lekin... usne ek baar mudh kar dekha kyun nahin... ?? aur koi jawaab bhi nahin diya...?? par... kya farq padta hai... Maine toh thanks kaha naa... "
