PART – 11

As the saying goes 'It is easier said than done…' Same was the case here… Maan Singh Khurana had bagged deals worth millions with his sharp wit and ability to mold the situations in his favor but today his one decision could cost him the most important thing in life…

" ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??? Tum realize bhi kar rahe ho Maan ki iss sach ko jaan kar Geet kaise react karegi??"

Yash tried his level best to instill some sense in his brother's brain but knowing him he knew it was a futile attempt now…

"Sigh… Yash tum jaante ho na ki maine yeh faisla kiti soch samajh kar kiya hai… Tum hi batao ki kya abb hamare paas iss ke alawa koi alternative bacha hai??"

Both Yash and Maan sighed dejectedly at this… Even Yash knew that there was no alternative except this…

"Theek hai Maan… Tum Geet ko yahan mere clinic kyon nahi le aatey, we can discuss all this together…"

"Nahi Yash… Tum jaante ho na ki yeh kitna sensitive maamla hai… Main Geet sey Akeley mein baat karna chahta hoon… I want to explain her my point of view… Just main yeh jaan na chahta tha ki kya Geet ki health ussey itna bada shock jhelne ke liye allow karti hai???"

"Well humne issi wajah sey ussey itne dinon tak andhere mein rakha tha Maan… par uski latest test reports kaafi had tak normal hain so I guess ki hum yeh risk le saktey hain…"

"Theek hai toh phir main aur der kare bina Geet sey aaj hi baat karta hoon…"

"Hmmm All the best Maan…"

"Thanks Yash… Sam ka khyal rakhna…"

"You don't have to mention that yaar… Bye…"

"Bye.."

Maan took a sharp intake of breath and with fidgeting hands dialed Geet's intercom…

"Hello…."

"Ummm Geet we need to go on a site visit urgently… Be ready in the parking lot in 10 minutes…"

"Okay Sir…"

Maan silently shot a prayer to Geet's babaji…

"Geet ke babaji aaj toh sirf aap hi ka sahra hai…"

MAAN's CAR

It had been almost 30 minutes and both Maan and Geet had been totally silent so far… Both of them engrossed in different sets of thoughts… Maan used to peek at Geet from the corner of his eyes once in a while and had noticed that all throughout the journey, Geet was submerged in her train of thoughts completely oblivious to where their car was heading…

"Well Chalo mere liye hi achchha hai… Nahi toh ek baar madam ka question answer round chaaloo ho jaata toh to ho gaya tha kaam…" Maan thought and chuckled inwardly…

Finally they reached their destination and Maan parked the car… He turned to Geet and noticed she was still in her own world… He sighed and got off the car and opened her side of the door… That's when Geet finally returned back to the world…

"Hum pahuch gaye hain Geet…" Said Maan, offering her his hand to come out…

Geet willingly took his hand and slowly became increasingly aware of the surroundings…

"Maan yeh toh…"

"Haan Geet yeh wahi jagah hai…"

"Par hum yahan kyun aaye hain… woh bhi iss tarah…"

"Geet aaj mujhe tumhe kuchh bahut zarrori batana hai… Aur uss je liye mera dil khud mujhe yaha le aaya…"

"Jee kahiye na…"

"Pehley main tum sey kuchh poochna chahta hoon aur umeed karta hoon ki tum mujhe sach sach jawaab dogi…"

By then they had reached the end of the cliff and were standing very close to it's edge…

"Geet… kya Sam tumhara asli beta hai??? I mean kya who tumhara biological beta hai???"

Maan asked her looking directly into her eyes and saw her becoming stiff immediately…

"Main iss sawal ka jawaab janta hoon Geet phir bhi main tumhare muh sey sun na chahta hoon…"

"Nahi…" Geet finally said with tears in her eyes…. But at the same time, there were many questions in her eyes…

"Tumhare aankhon mein jo saarey sawaal hai unn sab ka jawaab hai mere paas…"

Geet kept on looking at Maan in surprise but she was feeling a little scared as somewhere she had this gut feeling that this conversation would change a lot of things in their relationship…

"Jiss din hum uss college fest mein mile the… uss din sey… I mean…. Umm main tumsey itna chid gaya tha… And you know ki main tumhe sabak sikhana chahta tha… tho woh…"

"Aap kya keh rahey hai?? Mujhe kuchh bhi samajh nahi aa raha hai…"

Maan took a deep breath mustering courage to speak up and finally blurted out with his eyes closed…

"Geet uss din sey main ne tumhare peeche detectives lagaaye hue thhey tumhare baare main sab kuchh pata lagaane ke liye…"

Maan finally looked at Geet and saw that her face was completely expressionless, finally she spoke…

"Aur aapne aaj tak ussey mere peechey lagaya hua hai???"

This was the question Maan dreaded and hence immediately started explaining once again…

"Mujhe tab hi Sam ke baare mein pata chala tha ki woh tumhara beta hai… After that slowly hum dono ke beech ki misunderstandings bhi door ho gayi aur phir hum mein dosti bhi ho gayi…. Amongst all this main uss detective ke baarey mein bilkul bhool gaya… Kuchh din pehley uss ne mujhe ekk report bheji related to Sam's birth certificate and all…"

Geet said nothing but motioned him with her eyes to continue…

"Tab mujhe pata chala ki Sam tumhara biological beta nahi hai…"

"Haan Maan… yeh sach hai ki Sam mera asli beta nahi hai par yeh bhi utna hi sach hai ki main ne aaj tak kabhi bhi Samrat ko apney sey alag nahi samjha…"

Maan held Geet's hands and assured her…

"Iss baat ka sabse bada gawah nai hoon Geet… Mujhe toh uss detective ki so called report par vishwaas hi nahi hua tha… main ne dekha hai tumhare ko har pal Sam ke liye tadapte hue… tumhaari aankhon mein uss ke liye pyaar aur jo mamta hai uska sakshi main khud hoon… Sam ko tum se achchhi maa toh  mil hi nahi sakti thi aur iss mein koi do raay nahi hai… Par Geet main yeh jaan na chahta hoon ki tum Sam se mili kaise… I mean tum toh tab sirf 16 saal ki hogi jab Sam ka janam hua toh phir …"
