Yup, I am glad that noone wrote a fanfiction in which Geet is a tailor. I have come across so many situations in which I started writing a story and had to stop as someone had started posting something similar ... it is really disheartening.
I hope you like the rest of the FF. It is something different from what I wrote before.

But seriously hats off to your creativity. Tailor shop...now that is amazing and unique. Being from delhi I agree with you that atleast to women, nothing excites us more than a perfect tailor shop. I know of shopd in Delhi which give tailor service for just one garment for eg:only blouses and trust me it is one of the busiest and siught after shop where I see women negotiatiing the delivery date

Maan in his usual avataar...his office is probably the best way of getting his CS across.

Thanks for commenting. I am glad that you like the characters. I wanted Maan and Geet be stark opposites from each other. I hope I achieved this.

I am happy, too, that noone has written anything about a tailor shop before me. It has happend a few times before that I started writing a story with an interesting plot and found someone on IF with similar story line. I had to abandone many nice ideas.

Oh, so I have written about something that is true... How funny.

Yes, MAan Singh Khurana has a strong connection to his office. I bet if it would be for him he would move in but then in my FF his family would not spare him... you will see what I mean in the next chapter...

Thanks, yes, Khurana Mystery is my best work so far in my eyes but I hope you will like this one as well. By the way, did you read The Mystery of hte Crying Castle??? If not there is the like in my page. Just click on the link in my Signature. It is completed.

His mother is alive in this FF. Well, his mother and Dadi pester him because of marriage and he doesn't want to... but I am not reveiling too much. Read to learn more...

I am extremely happy today 🤗. I passed an exam with a good grade although I thought to have failed it... So as a treat I am updating again. Plus, I replied to your comments in the post above. I am extremly sorry for being lazy in this sense while I posted my last FF. I will try my best to reply to all of you...

Chapter 2: Valued Customer

As if the morning hadn't been bad enough, his mother had sent him the car to take him to the mall. He got furious at Adi for cancelling all the meetings for the rest of the day but Adi had strict orders from above (Dadi and Archana). Maan went to the shop and tried on several sherwanis. But they all ill-fitted and were uncomfortable somehow. He called home.

"Mom, I am not going to wear this. They are totally uncomfortable."

"Maan, if you have problems with the ready made ones then get one tailored. Simply buy the fabric and get them to the tailoring service." Maan hated his situation. He had never done something like this before and he dreaded the task. Not because he was afraid, it was more the prospects of embarrassing himself big time in front of everyone. But he had to do it. He looked around and found the store.

The manager of the store was overjoyed to see Maan there. He called his best sales assistants and made him chose fabric and colour. The fabric store had their own tailoring service but unluckily they couldn't do anything before one week. Reluctantly they had to refer him to HGTS. Maan stood in front of the shop. He so did not want to go in there. It was a matter of his image after all.

The door opened and Geet bowed and welcomed him.

"Welcome to Handa Girls Tailoring Service. How may we be of service?" Rajji, Pinky and Burger giggled. They had all seen Maan stand in front of the store, reluctant to come in so Geet had wanted to make it easier for him. Maan looked at Geet. This was the first time he was welcomed like this. He felt kind of special. Geet got a little impatient by this costumer. She had plenty of other things to do but her mother said that she should never let a costumer leave from her door without him having employed her service. She gently pushed Maan inside as he was still standing like a statue.

Maan came out of his thoughts and handed Geet the bag.

"I need a sherwani stitched till tomorrow." Geet took the bag and removed the fabric. She felt it and asked:

"Sir, how much did you pay for this?" Maan looked at her. He was MSK, who never looked at a price tag.

"Don't know"

"What do you mean? You must have inquired about the price before the purchase."

"I never ask for a price but'" he removed the receipt. Geet had a look and held her mouth with her hand. She got angry, and pulled Maan out of the store. In one hand she held the bag; in the other was Maan's hand. He was so gobsmacked that he just followed her.

"Oye Motu" a fat sales boy came towards her.

"Yeh kya hain. Itne saste kapde ke liye inse inte paise liye? Sharam nahin aati? (What is this? You charged so much for such a cheap fabric. Don't you feel ashamed?)" Geet held the bag in front of Motu. He opened it and saw what she meant. He had on many other occasions made acquaintance with Geet's tantrums and since customers were looking it was best to correct his mistake.

"Sir, aaye. Main aap ko kuch acche chunke deti hu. (Come along, sir. I will pick something nice for you.)" Geet pulled Maan to the area with the better fabric."

"Kaunsa rang? (Which colour?)"

"Safed (White)" Maan said in trance.

Geet pulled out a nice one, looked at Maan and told Motu to cut the right amount and not one millimetre less. Then she got the money balanced out and demanded refund.

"Here sir." Geet held the refund in her hand. Maan came out of his shock and looked at the money.

"Take it, it's your. Next time don't just buy anything. The fabric was way too overpriced and not a good material. Come on, I'll get you measurement done. She pulled him after her and Maan looked at her hand holding his. He had on many occasions met girls who had held his hand but this girl was different. It looked to him as if she had no idea who he was. If she did, she wouldn't have given him his refund.

Back at the shop Geet made him sit. She went inside to get a catalogue and retuned.

"Sir, choose one of the cuts, I'll make it exactly like it." Maan had a look. It was a huge folder.

"Do you even know who I am?" he asked her.

"Yes sir" she said with confidence.

"You do?" he wondered.

"Yes, you are our valued costumer. Now back to the design, chose one."

"Look, I am Maan Singh Khurana. I do not wear what others wear, I am special and so are my clothes."

"Why didn't you say earlier that you need a special design?" Geet got a notebook and pen. She looked at Maan and made two quick designs. Maan had a look. He hadn't seen any of theses before.

"This one" he pointed at the right one. Geet nodded happily and brought a stool. She was a bit too short for him. She ordered him to stand still and turn and lift his arms and what not. Poor Maan had no idea as to how to deal with this girl. Usually girls fell all over him but this one was actually bossing him around.

"Look in case you don't know, I am MD of KC, I am not bossed around."

"KC, woh kya hain? (KC, what is that?)", she asked innocently. Maan smacked his forehead. She didn't know him, she didn't know KC, then what did she know?

"Have you ever heard of the Khuranas? You know successful businessmen..." Geet made a thinking face and then shook her head. Maan gave up. Geet was done and told Maan about her prices. Maan simply paid as he did not wish to argue with Geet.

"Last thing sir, you need to come in to see the fitting."

"I can't I have work. Just send this home."

"No sir, I never sell a piece without checking the fitting, what if something needs amending."

"I don't care. I'll send my driver to pick it up." Maan left an unhappy Geet behind.

Plz plz plz comment, it will make me feel really nice. I will see it as a treat for my hard work 😳...
