Awesome update!

I know I am late with this update but i was trying to finish them being in Mumbai and get them all back to Dehli. I just didn't realise I would need to write another chapter before I could get them back to Dehli. So here is the next chapter.

Chapter 38

The rest of the evening/ night went well. Both couples received compliments from clients and other business associates who were all happily married that each of them made a lovely couple. After an hour the dj announced dinner was being served in the banqueting hall so they all made their way to the hall. Mr and Mrs Shah sat with the Raizada's. The dinner conversation consisted of the shahs recalling how they met, their love for one another, their marriage and about their kids. Khushi really loved the story. It was a like a fairy tale. Arnav saw her smiling like a little kid but as soon as their eyes met and as they were listening to the story a known sadness appeared in her eyes especially when she recalled her wedding. Arnav guessed what she was thinking and it pained him that the sadness in her eyes was because of him. Guilt was engulfing him.

Mrs Shah: So Payal beti you haven't told me how you met Akash.

Payal looked at Akash and was blushing while Akash couldn't help but smile and blush.

Khushi: Oh aunty! I'll tell you they first met in Laxmi nagar bazaar in Delhi.

Khushi then recalled the whole Akash, Payal love story including how she and Arnav got them together in the end. That surprised the Shah's that Arnav actually helped. Arnav just looked at Khushi slightly annoyed while she had a mischievous smile on her face but when Mrs Shah enquired about how Arnav and Khushi had got together the both of them were uncomfortable about answering. Arnav just couldn't look at Khushi at that moment while she had her head down and was twirling her pallu in her fingers.

Mrs Shah: O ho. Khushi beti you told me the whole story about Payal beti and Akash beta but what about you and Arnav beta. Why you being so coy on that? Payal beti do you know how they got together?

Payal recalled her wedding day and didn't know what to say. Even she didn't know the answer to that. Khushi had been very secretive about what really happened that day.

Payal: Aunty all I can remember about Khushi and Arnavji was that they fought a lot.

Mr and Mrs shah just laughed.

Mr Shah: The best couples always do.

It was good that dessert had arrived. Both Arnav and Khushi were uncomfortable about this part of the conversation.

Many of the girls who watched the dancing were burning inside when they finally saw they had no chance against the Raizada wives. It was clear as day that both Arnav and Akash were besotted and they didn't even notice any other woman while in the company of their other halves.

Being the hosts of the party they all had to stay behind before they could get back to their hotel. Party wasn't finished until around 12 and it wasn't until 1 in the morning before they finally got back to the hotel.

Arnav and Akash were used to this but both Payal and Khushi were completely tired. As soon as they got back to the hotel, they changed and before long they all fell asleep after the long and exhausting day they had.

Next day Akash and Arnav were already gone by 10 as they had back to back conferences all day while Khushi and Payal didn't get up until 10. They got ready and Khushi spent the day with her sister discussing the previous day's events.

Arnav and Akash were not back until 6 which confused Akash as he had been led to believe that the conferences were over two days. He couldn't believe they were all done in one day. By the time they were back they were still very tired from the day before so as soon as they all had dinner they retired to their individual suites and fell asleep.

Next morning Khushi got up and got ready by the time she was out of the bathroom Arnav got up to get ready. Once he was ready he got on the phone asking for the limo to be ready in an hour. He then called Akash to join them for breakfast. All of them were sitting eating.

Akash: Bhai how come we had all the conferences done yesterday?

Arnav: I planned it that way.

Akash, Payal and Khushi were surprised. Arnav just looked at their surprised faces and smirked.

Arnav: Right as soon as you are all done get ready.

Saying that he was on the phone again. Everyone just stared at him. Arnav looked at them all.

Arnav: What are you all looking at? Now hurry up.

Everyone went back to what they were doing. Once everyone was done eating Arnav ushered everyone out of the suite and down the corridor to the stairs and out of the hotel. They all got into the limo and the driver stated driving. Everyone was still wondering where they were all going. The limo stopped. They all got out finding themselves in front of a mall. Khushi and Payal were just shocked to see the place. Arnav then looked at Akash and then at the girls. He then held Khushi's hand whose mouth was open. She looked at him and then back at the mall. Both Akash and Arnav led their wives in. The vast amount of shops amazed them and how big the place was. Arnav indicated to Akash and they went towards the shops.

They must have been there for ages as they roamed from shop to shop looking around but not really buying anything. Payal and Khushi couldn't bring themselves to buy anything. The women's stores were all full of modern clothes and neither of the girls were used to that kind of clothing but it didn't stop Akash or Arnav to notice what they liked and what they didn't. After a while they went to a men's clothes store. Payal moved in with Akash and she stated helping Akash pick out some clothes for him while Khushi was reluctant to do this as her relationship with Arnav was still very raw. Arnav moved towards Khushi placed his hand in hers and moved towards the suits. He stated looking around while she looked at him watching what type of clothes he does wear. She then remembered quite a number of his causal clothing and saw some on a few racks. She walked over to them and selected a few. She took them back towards Arnav and put one in front of him to see if it would suit him. He looked around to see what she was doing. She was nodded a no indicating it didn't look right. She did that with a few tops and then found the one which looked perfect. It was a maroon colour jersey. She looked at him her eyes pleading. He understood took the top and went to try it on. She smiled as he did that. He came out of the dressing room to show it her and she loved it. He bought it straight after that.

After shopping around a few more shops where they bought presents for everyone back at home they went to the food court for lunch. Once lunch was done they headed back to the limo.

Second place they went to was an expensive saree store. Once Payal and Khushi were inside Khushi felt like she was in a sweet shop. So many lovely clothes. Akash and Payal walked towards the back to where the sarees were and Akash started picking out sarees for Payal. Khushi saw so many anarkali's and chudidar's that she wanted buy them all but once she checked the price a memory flashed in her head. She remembered how she had worn an expensive lehenga and how Arnav had treated her. Arnav was watching her the whole time. He walked up behind her saw the price tag and realised what was going through her mind. Arnav turned her around to face him. He then looked at the dress. He picked it up.

Arnav: You like this don't you?

Khushi didn't know whether to say yes or no.

Khushi: No.

Arnav knew she was lying so he took it straight towards the counter with Khushi quickly following him. She grabbed his wrist making him stop.

Khushi: Arnavji it costs a lot.

Arnav turned around to look at her.

Arnav: Nothing is expensive if it brings a smile to your face it's worth it.

Khushi couldn't believe this was the same guy who was going to buy her an expensive lehenga as a tip and now was willing enough to buy her everything and money didn't matter. What has happened to him? was all she could think. He then took her back to the suits and looked around. He then found a beautiful green and yellow anarkali which he knew suited her perfectly. He gave it to her. She was about to look at the price tag when he stopped her and nodded a no. She knew he was not going to take a no for an answer this time so she ended up buying a few of them. Once they finished shopping they went back to the limo.

The third place they went to was a jewellers where Khushi and Payal were left to select what they wanted. They had protested at first especially after receiving such beautiful jewellery for the show but Arnav insisted. So they bought only one piece each while they bought two sets for Anjali and two sets for mami. One from each of them. Both Arnav and Akash were touched by this gesture.

Once on the limo the driver headed to juhu beach. All four of them got out of the car leaving the bags in the limo. Khushi couldn't believe it. Before anyone could stop her she ran towards the edge of the sea. Arnav just watched her as she had her sandals in her hand and was splashing the water with her feet. Akash and Payal headed of towards the food stalls while Arnav went towards Khushi. She didn't realise he was coming towards her. Suddenly she felt a breeze and she knew he was coming closer. Her heart beat racing and her breathing hard. He was very close behind her. Her hand was on her heart while her eyes were closed. Arnav was standing right behind her looking at her.

Arnav: Khushi you ok?

Khushi just nodded a yes knowing full well she wasn't while Arnav also knew was lying but didn't say much.

Arnav: Akash and Payal are near the food stalls. Aren't you hungry?

Khushi's eyes flew wide open suddenly realise she was hungry.

Khushi: Gol gape.

Arnav watched her reaction as she ran towards the stalls looking for Payal and Akash. Arnav just watched in bewilderment as she went racing thinking unbelievable. He followed her soon afterwards to find all three of them eating gol gape and he also noticed she had put her sandals back on. Khushi was indulging herself as the sauce was running down her the corner of her lips. As she went to wipe it off with her hand Arnav had caught a hold of her hand and with his handkerchief wiped the sauce clean. She watched him do this and looked at him just admiring her husband. As he finished she looked down at her plate picked up a gol gapa and held it out in front of her gesturing to him to eat. He gladly allowed her to feed him and he also had the sauce running down the corner of his lips. Khushi saw this and with her hands she wiped it clean. Each still looking at each other and gazing into each other's eyes.

Akash had stopped eating while looked at his opened mouth expression and looked at what he was watching. They both saw Khushi feeding Arnav and Payal looked back at asking wondering what he was so shocked about. She was close to him so nobody could listen in to the conversation.

Payal: Akash why are gaping at them like that? Jealous? Would you like me to feed you as well?

Akash come back to his senses and looked at Payal.

Akash: No not that. It's just that bhai doesn't eat gol gape. They are too spicy and he doesn't like spicy food.

Payal: Well it looks like he is enjoying himself.

Akash: Well I would think that when a wife is feeding her husband he would eat anything from her hands even if it tasted vile.

Payal blushed after hearing what Akash had said.

Akash: So Payal aren't you going to feed me? I'm feeling left out.

Payal looked at him with wide eyes realising what Akash has said and the fact he was getting bolder by the day which was surprising her. She too decided to feed him.

After the couples finished eating they headed for some ice cream. Of course Arnav normally couldn't have any but both he and Khushi had forgotten his medicine so he had a little not much and that was only when Khushi insisted he have some. So he had some of hers.

Once they finished the ice cream Khushi dragged Payal to the water and using her hands she started splashing her sister with water. Payal followed suite and stated splashing Khushi. Akash watched the sisters and walked towards them. Arnav also walked towards them but stayed back a little. Akash walked a lot closer and also started splashing Payal. Khushi saw this and started on him and Payal also did the same. Arnav thought they are behaving like children before he realised that Khushi had come up behind him and placed her wets hands on his cheeks. He jumped forward and spun his head around his eyes blazing with rage thinking what the….? As soon as Khushi saw his eyes the laughter on her face died down and she was nervous realising she may have made a mistake. Arnav turned around again. Khushi started heading towards Payal but before she got two feet away Arnav had swooped her in his arms and he headed towards the water. Khushi looked at him and then looked at where they were heading. She looked back at him.

Khushi: Arnavji please no.

Arnav didn't listen. He looked at her with that smirk on his face. Khushi knew she was in trouble. She started hitting him to let her go. He didn't listen to her. He went right passed Payal and Akash as they were busying gaping at the scene in front of them. Arnav still had Khushi in his arms as they headed further in to the sea. Khushi was still pestering to let her go. So that is what he did.

SPLASH

Khushi had been dropped into the water. She looked up him looking at her with that famous smirk on his face. This enraged Khushi she quickly got up on her feet and with her hands took as much water in her hands and splashed his face. He had his face turned to the side with his eyes closed when she did that. He opened his eyes and slowing turning his face looking at Khushi. She could feel he wasn't let this go easily. So she ran and pretty soon Arnav ran after her.

Arnav: Khushi

Khushi just ran but Arnav caught up with her very quick. He grabbed her by the waist picking her up so her feet were of the ground. She screamed.

Khushi: ARNAVJI.

As Khushi's tried hard to loosen his grip on her he twirled her around. She couldn't believe this. He was still twirling her when he lost his balance and they both went splashing into the water. Her on top of him with her back to his front. Khushi realised the position she was in her heart beating fast. Arnav also could feel his heart thumping against his chest. He was lying down while she was lying on top of him. His arms still around her waist. She started to struggle to get up while his grip got stronger.

Arnav: Khushi wait a minute.

Arnav then got up into a sitting position taking her with him. He shuffled backwards loosening his grip allowing her to move forward. He moved backwards and stood up. He walked around to face her and held his hand out. She looked up at him and took his hand. He gripped her hand and pulled her up. As she was pulled up her hand went on his shoulder and head was towards the side of his face. She slowly pulled her head back and looked into his eyes which were now looking at her. They stood there like that not noticing anyone around them just lost in each other and forgetting the world around them.
