::Update 5::The Moon without the Honey::
At the airport Arnav had unwillingly boarded on the plane with his pretty but annoyingly irritating wife Khushi, declaring openly with pride being Khushi Kumari Gupta Raizada. Arnav was flabbergasted by her apparent need to be so vocal about being his better half. Or in his case his worse half. Khushi was seated next to him mumbling a prayer over and over again. Arnav saw her chest heaving, her lips were quivering, her eyes closed during take off. Was Khushi scared of flying? He knew she was afraid of the dark but then again she'd never traveled in a plane before. Part of him was happy she was feeling uneasy but the other part of him wanted to hold her and reassure her she will be safe with him but his bruised ego wouldn't allow him to help her. If this kept her quiet then it was worth it. He needed a little peace to sleep after getting no sleep thanks to Khushi packing her bags like an excited child. All the noise kept him wide awake so a little shuteye was in order. Unfortunately this was proving to be quite difficult with Khushi chanting loudly.
Khushi felt Arnavji's hand in hers giving her a tight squeeze. His mere touch had taken away some of her fears replacing it with only him. Khushi focused on Arnav's scent of his favourite scent of Chanel blue overpowering her senses. He had given her strength and now dominated her mind. Why was he so quiet? Khushi opened her eyes to get a peep at what was going on. Khushi felt her breathing was back to normal now.
Arnav smirked at Khushi-If U were this scared of flying then why did U insist on this stupid trip?
Khushi croaked all too fast (Not mentioning Anjali Di's plight of wanting them to rekindle their romance on their honeymoon rather than have her brother worry about her all the time about his unborn nephew or niece)-I didn't want anyone to suspect anything. I'm not afraid of anything. This is just new to me.
Arnav's laugh was almost supercilious and a tad velvety if not smooth-Pull the other one Khushi i know U through and through. (Now euphoric chuckle relaxing to stop provoking Khushi) Khushi i know U are a brave woman. This is why U like to fight with a shrewd business man like my good self. Maybe U need to just unwind and be your bubbly self as annoying as U are i'd prefer to have a calm journey than an uncomfortable flight. We do have to make another journey back remember. (His eyes fixed on hers watching them with intensity) We have several hours to kill.
Khushi peered out the window and started to get perplexed almost shaking but Arnav fored her to look at him-Arnavji..
Arnav muttered at his own weakness. Why did it bother him to see her like this when he was supposed to loathe her? He had every intention of hurting her on their honeymoon but right now she appeared so small he advised her-Khushi just look at me!
Khushi obeyed Arnav's command lowering her eyes then directly staring into those dark brown eyes-I can't help...
Arnav switched on their screens still holding her hand in his-The best way to overcome one of your fears is by keeping yourself occupied with something U enjoy. I would say for U its to grate on me but i'd prefer it if U watch a DVD of some stupid Bollywood film with your favourite Salman Khan or listen to some cheesy Bollywood song. (Hands her some headphones) Put this on and enjoy the rest of the flight.
Khushi nodded slowly occasionally glancing over to Arnav. He confused her a lot. Their love hate relationship was difficult for her to read how to take Arnav. He was right as usual about deflecting her attention to watching her all time favourite being Maine Pyaar Kiya. She couldn't help but hum to the tunes. At one point from the corner of her eyes she'd noticed Arnav cringe at her singing along but then caught a smile creep his handsome face. It was moments like these Khushi had found she was craving to see him happy even if it was for a while. Khushi was no longer self aware of being on a plane nor was she looking out of the window.
After 1 day they'd arrived in Turkey. The place was simply breathtaking. Nothing like India but it was something they both needed. Khushi was helped out by Arnav dragging their luggage to their hotel. At the reception he was greeted by a friendly smile. Arnav in return managed a fake smile.
Selina had a hearty if not a love struck look in her eyes when she informed them about their stay-Your room is 131B, the special Honeymoon package deal, I just love newlyweds. So if you'd like to sign in. We have all your details, just check to see if everything is correct.
Arnav rolled his eyes sounding abrupt-It all seems fine but don't U have any spare rooms available at this place?
Selina gave a puzzled expression observing this customer's moods and his wife looking a little awkward-Sorry we are all booked up. This is a very popular hotel. I'll fill U in on a secret. (Leans forward almost whispering) U have the best room with the perfect view. U don't want to trade it with anyone. Besides the scenic view U will have all the complimentary added bonus and service at your beck and call. Here's your key sir! (Hands him the keys then ushers over to her manager gesturing) I am just taking this lovely couple over to their room.
The manager nods then in authoritativeness states-Make sure U supply our guests with anything they require.
Selina leads Arnav and Khushi to their suite across the lobby, in the lift heading to the top floor then passed the passage until they reach they destination-Have a good stay and i hope U guys enjoy your honeymoon here. They say magic is born within these walls. This place only brings people closer together and more in love than ever before.
Arnav is drones in a bored uninterested tone-Listen, whatever your name is. We just want to stay here not listen to your nonsense. There is no honey in this honeymoon. Its just a break. Now if you'll excuse us we have some unpacking to do.
Khushi merely purses her lips and offers her appreciation-Thank U.
Selina felt like she was being given her marching orders-Just let me know if U want anything or ask for room service. Is there anything U want?
Khushi answers back feeling hungry-Just some tea please. Oh and maybe some (Thinks of jelebi's but squashes this thought out of her brain) thing to eat.
Selina places a friendly smile again warming to Khushi-Sure thing!
Arnav watches one of the workers take their luggage in while he looses his tie entering the bathroom with his clothes for a quick shower to get rid of all of the dirt from the journey.
Khushi begins to unpack her things placing them into the draws. Finally the tea arrives along with Almond Cookies (Acibadem), Revani a soft semolina based cake and several varieties of Turkish sweet goodies making Khushi's mouth water. She demolished everything in sight until she realised Arnav had nothing to eat. She picked up the phone from their room.
Khushi asked the receptionist Selina-Can we have some pastries without any sugar please?
Selina complied to Khushies request getting the chefs to send over their goodies.The man places the Ashure a mixed dried fruit concoction of nuts and grains. It was a healthy version for Arnav.
While Arnav got out wearing just a T-shirt on and some shorts stunning Khushi-What you've never seen me like this before? (Controls his expressions) Its hot here. I need to go out for a walk.
Khushi inists-U need to eat first. I've ordered...
Arnav cuts her off-Enough with the acting. There is nobody here but us. U can revert back to being a nuisance. I was just being nice so you'd quit flaking out on me. We can get back to our usual spiteful selves now.
Khushi took over Arnav's bowl-Hate on me as much as U want but please just eat this.
Arnav spat out without thinking-Have U put poison in this?
Khushi retaliated back-Trust me if i wanted to poison U you'd know. Now quit being so stubborn and have this. I don't want Di to think i haven't been taking care of..
Arnav shot back fuming-Don't worry about Di. I know how to play my own sister. Just stay away from my sight Khushi. I know your lover is back in India but i am sure you'll find some other loser to bide your time with.
Khushi saw Arnav take off. She fell slowly to the bed head crouched down with her hands supporting her-I only want...to be there for U. If not as a wife then as a... friend...as your employee...(Why did it upset her? Why did his words cut her so deep? Why could she not bear his hatred? Something was bugging her but why did she feel like her heart was about to get ripped out and torn into shreds not by Arnav but by something more dangerous) Arnavji, I can't make U forgive me nor be civil to me but i can make U feel more relaxed. I just want to make ammends and show U i am not who U think i am.
Arnav had to leave Khushi. Being around her was difficult. Every time he saw her he wanted to shake her, hurt her but then at times he wanted to...forget it. He needed some fresh air. A little alone time away from his problems. He had the utmost regret at marrying Khushi. Things he had to do for his sister was worth it if it meant Khushi steered away from her lover. Arnav clenched his fists sank down to the sandy shores and punched it with his fists.
Arnav murmurs in angst-I hate U Khushi. Why did U have to turn my world upside down? This is your worst nightmare. I will make sure this honeymoon haunts U forever.
A man hidden in the shadows speaks on his mobile-He is here all alone...No the girl is not with him...Ok...I will take my chance as soon as he is all alone he will be out of the way for good.
Turkey is a beautiful location. This time together will strengthen ArHi. It is just a matter of bringing out some old wounds but ensuring the purity of Khushi is evident in Arnav. He will see the depths of Khushi he refuses to see right now due to anger blinding him from looking further into her kind heart.
