Hi everyone...it's monday and i am back with an update...

He changed the channel and stopped at the sports channel…

K: "I'll support the blue guys…"

A: "I support Spain…"

K: "red or blue?"

A: "red…"

Suddenly Ashi started crying…

K: "aww… she's hungry… you watch the match… I'll be back soon…"

A: "nah.. we'll watch it together… I'll come with you…"

Ch#5:

Chachu and Ashi have a secret…

A few days passed by very smoothly. Neither Arnav nor Khushi had to go out frequently. But, fashion season was about to start… Autumn collection launches were to begin in a time of 3 weeks and as owners of their companies, they had to be regular now….

K: let's make a chart… She said and sat down on the floor with Arnav and Ashi…

A: and… how will that help? He asked as he pushed in a spoon full of cerelac into Ashi's mouth.

K: see Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be your office days and Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday mine…

A: hmm… that seems good…. Aman can manage the other days…

K: and Prachi can manage my things… She stood up and picked up Ashi, who had crawled over to the other side of the room.

As: eeeababa…. Bubu ….lalalala…. She screamed at her and kicked randomly…

A: what happened, Ashi?

K: "Hold her… I'll get her bunny…" Arnav took her from Khushi…

Ashi literally slapped her little palms on Arnav's cheeks and pulled them…

As: "gui…lala… poopoo… brrr….?"

A: "sorry, I'll shave tomorrow… promise…"

K: "there you go…" and she gave Ashi her bunny… Arnav placed Ashi on the mat, in between him and Khushi…

As: lulu…lulu…lulu….brrr…. babab bui…. She giggled and hugged her bunny… She hugged it in such a manner that she leaned backward and tumbled over… She fell on Khushi's lap and started giggling and kicking in happiness…

Khushi smiled and picked her up…

K: "Ashi's a good girl na?... Ashi loves Cerelac…" and she eyed Arnav to feed her a spoon full of the same.

A: "so why do we need the chart?" He asked as he fed her a spoon full of the slurry mixture.

K: see 'Season Show' is about to begin… so it's better that we sort off our duties… as we have to literally work from home now…

A: yeah…

K: We'll buy a Reusable Chart board today…

A: how many weeks do we plan for at one go? One? That'll be easy…

K: yup… we'll renew the chart on Sundays then…

A: we've to go to the mall today…

K: why? We can get a board from the nearby shop also…

A: no diapers, baby food will be over by tonight, we are out of snacks for our selves, we are running short of vegetables… no coffee powder, Ashi's clothes have shrunk…

K: Arnav, Ashi's growing! She exclaimed…

A: yeah, if we see it the other way round…

K: that is the only way we can see it…

A: will you help me in making the list instead of pointing ways of seeing things?

Again Ashi had crawled over to the other side of the room… Khushi went over to her and brought her back

K: haan, so where was I? Oh yeah right… let's go to Ashi's room… it'll be easy… oh that reminds me… we need to buy a proper cot for Ashi for her afternoon naps… also, we need a few things for ourselves too…

A: what do we need…? He fed another spoon full of Cerelac…

K: our bed stinks, our clothes stink and our pillows are always wet, we ran out of washing powder today, we need to buy lotions for Ashi… oh, soap and shampoo also… for Ashi as well as for us.

A: "hmm…"

A: "one more spoon Ashi and we'll be done with your lunch…" Ashi nodded in disagreement and turned her face away… he brought the spoon to her mouth, she turned away…. "please, baby…" Ashi turned away… "pretty please…" and he made a puppy face, Ashi too made a puppy face… they kept on making puppy faces at each other…

Both of them stubborn…

K: "oh cut it out, both of you… give that to me…" she took the bowl from Arnav, in this little disturbance, Ashi got confused… Khushi took advantage of the situation and shoved the spoon full of cerelac into Ashi's mouth…

A: "aaahhh…. Fin – i –shed…" he said with a smile… Ashi threw her bunny at Arnav. She couldn't believe that she was fooled into this… Ashi Raizada was fooled…

K: "she is just a photocopy of her chachu…"

A: "that, I'll take as a compliment… hain na Ashi?... and he picked up Ashi and lifted her high up… she giggle and kicked happily…, "she loves this…"

K: "Don't do that… she'll vomit out everything…." Arnav brought her down… "oh, we need to go to the doctor tomorrow…"

A: why?

K: vaccination…

A: oh yeah…

K: "so mall, today evening, 7: 00 pm?" She said as she stood up to leave

A: hmm… where are you going?

K: to wash this…

A: can't you do that later on?

Arnav held onto Khushi's wrist as she tried to cross him…

Khushi gave him a massive pull and he stood up…

K: come with me, we can chat there…

A: okkay… He picked up Ashi and followed Khushi into the kitchen

A: "you like this?" he asked as he brought a fruit cream 'tester box' near to Ashi's nose…

Ashi nodded and took her face away from the box… She was sitting in the trolley basket. Khushi was looking at bed sheets while Arnav roamed around the food corner collecting snacks for Ashi.

A: hmm… so no guava cream for Ashi…

He picked up another box, opened the lid and took that to Ashi's nose.

A: "strawberry?"

Ashi nodded vigorously and leaned backward…

A: "Ok, ok… how about…." He searched for a flavour and picked up a brown box… "This…?" He asked with a huge smile…

The moment he brought that box close to Ashi's nose… she let out a loud giggle… placed her palms on Arnav's hand which was holding the box and in a fraction of second her little nose was inside the box…

A: "what the…?" He stood there in a shocked position for a second or two while Ashi kicked happily, her nose still inside the box. He couldn't pull the box away as it would hurt Ashi… He placed his hand under Ashi's chin and tried to lift her head… the moment he was successful in lifting her head… he pulled the box away. Ashi made a puppy face… there was brown cream smudged all over her little nose and a part of her cheeks and lips… Arnav smiled at Ashi's condition and then, "shit… your masi will eat…" he placed the lid and kept the box on the rack… "My head off… if she sees you in this condition." He took out his hanky from his pocket and rubbed her face clean…

Ashi made a puppy face similar to her chachu. "That will not help you Ashi… you can have the chocolate cream, once we reach home…" with that he took a new sealed brown box of chocolate cream and placed it in the trolley….

He walked over to the baby food area and picked up 2 packets of cerelac, some more boxes of other such things.

He turned to Ashi, "you want chocolate drink?" as he picked up a teddy shaped bottle of powdered, chocolate flavoured milk, for children below 1 year of age…

That bottle was Ashi's favourite bottle… she extended her little arms, "agoo goo achu…" he smiled and handed her the bottle which she took into a tight little hug…

His phone started ringing. He took it out of his pocket, "haan Khushi… no no were almost done, you tell me where are you… we'll meet you there then…"

Khushi said something

"oh yeah we need to buy clothes for Ashi as well as for our selves…"

"Mumble mumble mumble…"

"no I am sure 3^rd floor has the clothes section…"

"Mumble mumble mumble"

"they must have shifted it rec-e…" just then his eyes fell on the floor guide right infront of him… the clothes section had always been on the 2^nd floor… "we are coming" and he hung up.

He turned to Ashi, "how does your masi manage to be right all the time…"

"aee…bubu la…"

"I love you too…" and with that he pushed the trolley into the elevator.

"no… attendant!" he exclaimed, just then Ashi's bunny slipped out of the trolley and fell on the floor.

"lulu… eee… lulu…" she screamed and pointed at her bunny, Lulu which was lying on the floor outside the elevator…

"I'll get your Lulu, Ashi", he smiled and stepped out of the elevator to pick up Lulu…

He bent over and picked up the bunny, "ting ting…" the elevator's door closed behind him, with Ashi alone on it…

He turned around in shock to see the dial showing the 'up' arrow…

A: NO! he screamed…

He started running towards the staircase… ran up to the 1^st floor to find it move up to 2^nd floor…

"shit..!, shit…!...Ashi!!"

He tried the other elevator but it was at the 5^th floor…

"what the…!"

He ran upto the 2^nd floor, the elevator was at the 4^th floor…

He ran upto the 3^rd floor and then the 4^th floor, to find a lady pulling out the trolley from the elevator…

He rushed to her… picked up Ashi and hugged her tightly…

"I am so sorry… I am very sorry…" he planted innumerous number of kisses on Ashi's soft cheeks and silky hair…

And Ashi, she hugged her chachu and screamed "achu…" into his ear… She wasn't crying but she was scared for sure and if the elevator hadn't stopped at the 4^th floor she would surely have started crying…

Finally… Arnav looked at the old lady, "thank you so much…"

"it's ok, beta… but be careful from the next time… it's your child after all…" and smiled at him.

"yeah… she's my baby… my life… thank you again, aunty…"

"you have a very pretty baby…"

"thank you…"… he tried placing Ashi back into the trolley basket, but she wasn't ready to leave him… she hung onto him… her little hands wrapped round his neck… her head rested on his shoulder and her little eyes… tightly closed… he hugged the little body, turned to her and planted a kiss on her forehead… He held onto her with one hand and with the other he pushed the trolley into the elevator and pressed the button to go to the 2^nd floor.

K: what do you think about this one? She asked as she picked up a cute little yellow frock.

A: it's cute but it won't fit you…

Ashi remained in that position, almost glued to Arnav.

K: Arnav!!

A: OK ok… it's very sweet… would look good on Ashi…

K: what's wrong with Ashi?

A: "umm…" he looked at Ashi… "we'll be back in a moment…"

K: "where are you going Arnav…?

A: "we'll be back in a minute…" and he rushed into the elevator…

Ashi left Arnav's neck and straightened up… she looked at Arnav with a pale face…

A: "see, it's nothing to be scared of…"

She hugged him back…

A: "I'm very sorry baby…" he caressed her little head…

They came out of the elevator at the 10th floor…

Arnav walked upto the Lost and Found counter…

A: I'm looking for a pink bunny with white long ears and it has a red bushy tail… there was a tag round it's ear… the mall's tag…

Person: oh yes sir… we found it just a while ago…

The moment Arnav gave Ashi her Lulu back…

She screamed "Lulu…" into his ears and rubbed her little nose on his cheek… as she took her bunny and hugged it…

A: "yup… Lulu… now… let's go down and trouble your masi…" a devilish grin played on his face…

He entered the elevator again… Ashi kept mum for a while but finally… the real Ashi was back…

As: abu abu… brunn… brr…lalala… achu…achu…pui…

Arnav kissed her forehead as he stepped out of the elevator…

K: where did you go?

A: "that's a 'Chachu – Ashi' secret…" he said grinning at her.

K: uff… anyway…if you are done with that will you help me pick up a few more dresses for Ashi?

A: yeh – yup…

K: what's wrong with you?

A: nothing…

K: I'll make sure that you wear these… I ain't asking you to wear these to your office… these are casual wears…

A: I have lots of casual wears…

K: yeah, wearing a waist coat instead of a suit is casual wear for you… you will wear these… do you get that…?

A: I will never be able to win over you… you are a complete nut case…

Suddenly Ashi let out a loud giggle…, "see even Ashi agrees with me…"

K: huh… very funny…
