CHAPTER 18

"Khushi will you spend the rest of your life here, with me???"

She knew he had made up this sentence because she was already married to him but was not willing to be with him. But now this was something she wanted. She looked at him directly in his eyes. Without breaking the eyelock she spoke.

"Arnav give me a little more time, I'll be back to give my answer". Saying this she freed her hand and went up the stairs to her room.

Arnav and the others waited for Khushi to come back while Khushal was getting tensed.

"I think I should go and look at her" Khushal said.

"May be I should go" Arnav said.

"Now don't fight on that one of you go fast"

Khushi went up her room and closed the door. She went to the wardrobe and took out the ring which she had bought for him.

"Arnav we'll be together again. I wanted this to happen and as if you read my mind, you propsed. I'm so happy for us today"

She heard a knock on the door

"Come in"

She turned to face the person who got into the room.

"You??? What are you doing here???"

Downstairs

"Chotte, Khushal you both wanted to go and look for Khushi isn't it, then why are you both still here?"

"Di, I want Khushi to come up to me, Khushal why don't you go?"

"OK Arnav. Riana come with me."

Khushal and Riana went to Khushi's room. It was empty. They checked the nearby rooms as well as the poolside. Khushi was nowhere to be seen.

They came down

"Where is she? Is Khushi bitiya coming???" Naani enquired.

"Voh actually, Khushi is not upstairs"

"What???" Anjali and Arnav said in unision

"Is there any other way to go out?" Riana asked

"No Riana, there is no other exit. And none of us saw her leaving right?"

"Where must she have gone. I should not have proposed her today. Khushi where are you??" Arnav was in tears.

"Chotte control yourself. She will be somewhere here. Let us check again" Anjali said as they began to search the house for Khushi.

They had searched each and every other room even the kitchen and store room.

Arnav was heartbroken. He went to the room where Khushi was. Khushal and Arjun accompanied him. Arnav entered the room. Khushi's bags were still lying there. He felt something beneath his legs and bend down to pick it. It was a ring in which the name KHUSHI was carved.

"Khushal look at this." Arnav showed him the ring in his hand.

"Did you get this for her???" Khushal asked looking at the name in it.

"Khushal why would i get her a ring in which Khushi is written. I thought you must have bought it for her to give me. If then why did she leave me? Where the hell did she go?"

"Arnav, Khushal look at this" Arjun said pointing the window where a red piece of cloth obviously from Khushi's saree was stuck.

"this is from the saree which she was wearing today!!!"Arnav said.

"what , but why did she jump out or escape through the window???" Khushal asked.

"Khushal I think Why can be answered later but we need to find out where she is first."

"You are right Arnav"

"I know some places where she can be. Come on lets go" Arnav said as the three came down.

"Chotte , any idea where she is???"

"No Di, we are going to check out some places where she can be. We 3 are going there"

"Ok chotte. Take care"

They went to Lekshmi Nagar enquiring each and every person whether they had seen Khushi.

The response was not good. They next went to the temple in Lekshmi Nagar. She was not there even. He next went to the open area where Akash had proposed to Payal and she had accepted.

Anjali phoned Arnav.

"Chotte got anything"

"No Di, still it is a no. I don't understand why did she have to run away, if she didn't want to be with me then she could have refused but why did she go???"

"Chotte, believe me , you will find her soon"

"I hope so Di. I need to go to some more places to seach for her."

"Ok chotte"

Arnav accompanied by Khushal and Arjun went next to the temple where Khushi had went when she was asked to get out of GH during the pak-phere. Arnav ran the stairs leaving Khushal and Arjun behind. There was no one there.

And next they went to the mandir where Arnav had forced Khushi to marry hi. She was not there even. He lost all hopes.

"Arnav lets go to the bus station, railway station and airport. May be we can find her somewhere." Khushal said as he drove the car.

But Khushi was gone.

No one had any idea on to where she had disappeared all of a sudden.

Anjali called again.

"DI still we haven't got any clues on Khushi's whereabouts."

"Chotte I think we should inform the police"

"But Di would that be ..."

"Chotte believe me that is the best possible method" A tensed Anjali replied on the other end.

"Ok Di, I'll talk to the SP"

He cut the call and phoned the SP.

"Hello, sir, its me Arnav Singh Raizada"

"Arnav, actually I was about to call you. I've got to tell you something"

"What sir???"

OK GUYS THATS ALL FOR NOW!!!

KEEP GUESSING WHY THE SP WANTED TO CALL ARNAV
