Arnav was feeling weird since morning..the kind of feeling you get that something wrong's going to happen...what could it be after he had endured the haldi...could anything be worse...

oh yes, for him at least...

how could 'he' miss the wedding..

naanav's wedding .upar se khushiji ki shaadi...and NK not present?

The bomb fell on Arnav right in the morning...

"chotte Nkji bhi aa rahe hain.."

"WHAT THE!" no way...

welcome Nand Kishore...thankfully this time he had been successful in finding the 'darawaza' of RM..

"NAAANAAVVV mubarak ho! Mubarak ho..i can't believe it naanav-"

"arnav"

"naanav tumhari and khushi ji ki vaadi..."

"it's arnav and shaadi dammit!"

"tho main apni vaadi ki baat todi na kar raan hoon"

for how long had he come???didn't matter as long as he kept away from him..there were some things Arnav was allergic to and NK happened to be one of them...

"DI!!" NK exclaimed as the whole family gathered around him..

"DI look naanav is blushing.."

"what nonsense NK!"

"no no no nonsense...naanav garma rah hai.."

"garma raha nahi NK sharma raha hai" Aakash quipped In haste..

One look at Arnav's face and one eyebrow raised at him was enough for Aakash to go all "nahi bhai..mai voh.."

When NK had made sure he had met and informed every member of the family that 'naanav is blushing on his wedding' and Arnav was this close to killing him, NK made another dhamaaka.

"di mai khushi ji se milne ja ra hoon"

"NK ye ladies ka function hai"... heads turned as Arnav literally barked at him..

"are chotte..hum soch rahe the ke NK ji hi hame drive kar ke le jayen"

"di there's a driver"

"haan par NK ji bhi khushi ji se mile nahi, aur mehendi ke baad bhi hame kuch jagah jana hai...Aakash already kaam me busy hain aur aap chal nahi sakte"

"par main ja sakta hoon! I'm naanav's brother.."

Anjali grinned, Arnav grinded his teeth...

No sooner did the Raizadas leave for Gupta's that Arnav started his marathon around RM..stupid customs..stupid rules...stupid 'no excuse to hold mehendi at home this time' , stupid NK. Halt. Pause. Restart..stupid customs, stupid rules, stupid 'NK'...

carry on Mr Raizada...

half an hour later Arnav's phone buzzed beside him..

stupid NK calling..

"WHAT?" he barked..

"Naanav just stop getting angry ok? Maine tumhare liye jo kiya hai usse tum kudne lagoge"

Arnav singh raizada jumping over NK's news..not very probable...Arnav Singh Raizada jumping ON NK , quite probable...

"NK i'm keeping the phone"

"ARE NAANAV WAIT! Maine khushi ji ki mehendi ki photo kichi hai"

Now Arnav's conscience started slipping hither and tither...to see or not to see that's the question...

he remembered how khushi had sworn there was no way he could see the mehendi before the wedding..some apshagun rubbish, he had said to which her response had been

"pichli shaadi se pehle bhi dekhi thi aapne! Kya hua who toh hum jante hi hain.."

to this he had to shut up since calling their first wedding scenario any thing less than a disaster would lead to another disaster altogether..

but what happens when you sway an ice cream cone just underneath a child's mouth...the offer had a similar effect on Arnav.

"toh mai bhejun tumhe mail se naanav"

"whatever"

"no no no no , no forcing naanav, tumhe nai dekhna , no problem.. but mehendi bahaut hi chuchundar hai naanav, believe me.."

"just keep it english ok?" Arnav muttered; he didn't have the patience to correct each nonsense this guy spoke..

"fine, take care naanav"

"WAIT!"

"yes?"

"tumne dekhi mehendi?"

"of course of course"

Arnav boiled..that was it..if NK could see it so could he..now the matter had taken all new dimensions..

"bhej do"

"okaaayy"

Now it so happened that NK in his excitement had to the annoyance of several people,tried to click the mehendi's of every woman in the ceremony including khushi, till Anjali had to take him to a corner and bid good bye..one of these girls happened to be khushi's friend , with a husband named Nihaal, as a consequence of which she had got an ornamental 'N' etched on her hands..

and NK being NK accidentally sent this pic to an Arnav who was losing his patience quite rapidly now..

Now this is what you get when you do something you shouldn't be doing Mr. Raizada..you get a beautiful ornamental N screaming and laughing at you..

Arnav zoomed till all he could see was the letter..that sickening, good for nothing, disgusting, weird sounding, why-does-it-exist letter of the English alphabet..

N for nasty, N for nerd, N for nonsense, N for nonsensical, N for Neddy (aka headache), N for Ne Ne, N for nobby, N for Nerg, N for..

Arnav could complete an entire beautiful thesaurus on N standing then and there...

wow, just wow, so they sort out differences, have a nice time, a strange but lovely engagement, he even endures haldi for her, enter NK , and she throws everything to the wind and gets N written all over her..

yes all over, right now that 1 cm piece of palm skin glaring at him accounted for 'all over her'..and dare anyone correct him..

he breathed fire as he picked up the phone and dialed khushi's number who's contact name for some reason had been left unchanged to 'sundari'..

Khushi picked up the phone..

"hello?Arnavji?"

"what nonsense khushi!"

"kya??"

"maine mehendi dekhi"

"KYA? AAP..AAPNE! KAISE?"

"it's not such a big deal k? NK ne bheji mujhe-"

"aur aapne dekh li??humne kaha tha na aapse? Aap ko baat samajh me nahi aati? Humne bataya tha aapko-"

"LEMME TALK!"

silence..

"kya bakwas karvayi hai haath pe?"

"kya? Bak-...aapko bakwas lagi?"

"haan bakwas lagi..khushi..this is too much.."

Khushi eyed her beautiful mehendi all teary eyed..

"kyun?"

"tum mujh se puch rahi ho? Khushi mazaak ka bhi standard hota hai..just wipe it off.."

her voice quivered as she spoke..

"ab ham nahi mita sakte...mehendi sukh gayi hai..."

Arnav grinded his teeth as he disconnected the call, then threw the phone on his bed..

Khushi stared all lost at the 'A' glaring at her..

After about an hour the ladies of RM returned home, along with a hyper excited NK...who was still fidgeting with his handycam..

If looks could kill, Arnav could be accused of murdering NK by now..grinning was he?

Oh yes...why wouldn't he? Where was he himself by the way? Yes...N for...nincompoop! N for..nosy!N for...

he was interrupted by Anjali's voice..

"kitni sundar lag rahi thi khushi ji ki mehendi...chotte par hame toh lag raha tha ke aaj pura din mehendi me nikal jayega...aadhe ghante baad toh khushi ji ko ek 'A' pasand aaya.."

"whatever di.." wait..."WHAT?"

"kya what?"

"kya pasand aaya?"

" 'A' chotte aur kya?"

NK grinned at Arnav...and Arnav didn't care what the Indian constitution had on killing foreign nationals...
