man you are good in figuring out all the characters and have potrayed them really well
once this sorry things clear up i hope there might be little bit of romance perhaps if not from the main four characters the supporting characters romance will also do

CHAPTER 18. APOLOGY ACCEPTED

Place - Guest Room at Khurana Mansion

Maan entered the room to see Soni ready and waiting for someone to take her downstairs. She saw him and turned her face away. He glared at her back. How dare she treat him in such a way? For two days he was trying his best to get her to forgive him and she was showing him such an attitude. He marched towards her and was about to grab her arm when he stopped himself. No, Maan! Stop yourself! She is a girl not a doll that you can grab and throw at any time. No more manhandling her, Maan! Control yourself. If you had not manhandled her last time, you would not be in this situation at all. He shook his head and walked away.

Soni turned her head only to watch him walk away. Was he not going to say sorry? Had he given up so easily? Was she too harsh on him? Soni did not like the replies she got from her conscience. By the time NT and Dev came and helped her get down, Maan had already left the house. Soni was disappointed and could not eat her breakfast.

Place - Outside Shantivan

Arnav walked out of the house and got into his car when the phone vibrated with a voice message. He opened it and Khushi's voice broke out, "Aap ladke ho, Hum ladki hain. Aap naaraaz ho toh sach kehte hain, Ki Aaya Mausam sorry bolne ka. Ki Aaya Mausam maaf karne ka." Khushi was singing a parody of a filmy song. Arnav recognized the song from "Maine Pyar Kiya", a movie he had watched when he was a kid. He smiled at those memories. Khushi voice broke into his thoughts, "Aaj Mausam hai suhana, Sorry maangne ka hai bahaana, Sorry Sorry Sorry, Maaf kardijiye na Arnavji." Arnav smiled at her voice but did not know what to tell her. His ego, which was hurt due to her act, stopped him from accepting her apology. He shut his mobile off and closed his eyes as his mind clashed with his heart.

Place - Khurana Constructions

Khushi sighed and glanced at the time. It was nearly lunchtime and Arnavji had yet to accept her apology. She did not know what to do next. All her ideas were flop and her brain refused to supply any more ideas. She was planning to send another voice message, when the peon told her that Maan Sir was calling her.

Maan was tired. He was tired of non stop apologizing. He was tired of being ignored. But most of all he was tired of the cold war. He missed Soni's smile which was directed towards him. He missed her blushing. Hell! He even missed her chatter. He looked up when Khushi entered the room. Maan gave her the instructions and she turned to go. Maan glanced at her and that's when it struck him. She was dressed in a salwar kameez unlike the other girls he had met who wore western clothes. Even Soni preferred Salwar Kameez over other type of clothes, although her suits were never as bright as Khushi's. Both the girls wore plaits and both seemed from Small towns. Both were religious and traditional minded. He had heard Soni refer to Babaji while Khushi referred to Her Devi Maiyya. Both were similar. That means Khushi would be able to help him. She can give him ideas to appease Soni. After all there might be a good chance their thinking might be similar too.

Maan smirked and asked Khushi to sit down. Khushi swallowed and sat down. Did she do something wrong? "Khushi meri ek problem hai aur Mujhe tumhari madad chaahiye.", Maan spoke bluntly and Khushi looked at him shocked. What help could she, a small town girl, give to a business tycoon like him? Maan noticed Khushi's baffled look but ignored it. "Meri ek rishtedaar hai jo bilkul tumhari tarah hai - religious, traditional, sanskari, aur seedhi saadhi. Infact, uske aur tumhare rehen sehen bhi kaafi similar hai. Par ab woh mujhse naaraaz hai. Maine uska bahut dil dukhaya hai aur main usse maafi maangna chaahta hun. Maine bahut koshishein ki maafi maangne ki, par kuch safal nahi hua. Maine sab jaan pehchaan waalon ke ideas try kar liye par kuch nahi hua. Ab sirf tum meri madad kar sakti ho." Maan laid his problem out in front of her.

Khushi thought for a second. Hum aapko kya salaah dein sir, jab humaare hi nuske aur paintre kaam nahi kar rahe hai. "Aapne kya kiya?", Khushi questioned him. "Excuse Me!", Maan spoke. What did she mean by that? Maan wondered. Khushi asked him again, "Humaara matlab hai ki ab tak aapne kya kya tareeke apnaaye?" Maan told her all about the flowers, chocolates, saari, teddy bear and diamond set. Khushi shook her head. This guy was hopeless.

"MK Sir, Yeh chocolates, phool, saari, gehne, teddy bear, humaari jaisi ladkiyon ko yeh tab maayine rakhte hai jab kisine unhein khud apne haathon se chuna, aur apne haathon se humein laake diye, kaan pakde aur maafi maanga. Aapne toh aise bhej diye jaise kisi client ko bhej rahe hain. Thoda impersonal hogaya sir.", Khushi informed Maan. Maan nodded. He understood her point "But now what?" He questioned her. She smiled and spoke up, "Arre! Humaare jaisi ladkiyaan na chote khushiyon mein hi khush ho jaati hai. Aap na bazaar se choodiyaan aur jhumke khareed ke de dijiye. Aur khud jaake dijiyega. Aise doosre logon dwara mat bhejiye. Aur phir kaan pakadiyega aur sorry bol dijiye. Hogaya aapka kaam." Maan raised his eyebrows. Was it that easy? Was it that simple? He felt humbled that he knew two such ladies who could be happy with smaller comforts of life. "Toh Chalo!" Maan told her as he picked up his coat and got his car keys out. "Kahaan?", Khushi looked at him in alarm. He glanced at her and spoke, "Yeh bazaar kahaan par hain Mujhe pata nahi. Toh tum mere saath chalo aur jagah dikhaado. Aur Mujhe ladkiyon ke pasand ke baare mein kuch pata nahi toh usmein tum madad bhi kardo." Khushi smiled and nodded her head. She was ready to help anyone anytime.

Place - One of the bazaars of Delhi

Maan stood at the stall and glanced at all the varieties of bangles and was baffled. Which one to buy for Soni? He wondered. Khushi noticed his expression and shook her head. This guy was seriously hopeless! She asked him, "Aaj subah unhonien kaunse rang ka suit pehna tha?" "Red!", Maan replied instantly. Khushi took out red bangles and red stone studded jhumkas. Maan suddenly remembered that she wore a white one on the day of fight. And she looked like an angel. He picked out a set of white bangles and jhumkas. Then he remembered she wore pink the day after their fight and then yesterday she had worn green. He picked out a set of pink and green bangles and jhumkas also. Khushi looked at him in shock. If ever someone would buy her so many bangles and jhumkas every time she got upset, she would love to be upset everyday! Maan paid for the sets and turned towards Khushi. "Tumne meri ek Problem solve kardi Khushi. Agar main tumhaare kuch kaam aa sakta hoon toh bejhijhak bol dena.", he told her happily. Khushi shook her head. "Yeh sab ki kya jaroorat hai Sir?", she mumbled. "No, Khushi. Kuch kaam ho toh bolo, I will try to help you in any manner possible.", Maan reiterated. Khushi was about to shake her head when the light bulb in her head lit up. What she advised to Maan, doesn't it apply to her also. Instead of singing songs and gifting Jalebis, shouldn't she buy Arnav what he liked as a gesture of apology? She spoke up, "Ek help chaahiye thi. Woh aapke Client Arnavji, mera matlab hai ASR Sir, woh humse naaraaz hain aur hum unse maafi maangna chaahte hain. Humne unhein bahut galat samjha hai. Toh aapko unki pasand napasand toh pata hogi na Sir? Agar aap kuch idea de dein toh…." Khushi trailed off. She was nervous that Maan might shout at her for asking such ridiculous help.

Maan, on the other hand, was amused. If he helped Khushi then she and Arnav will patch up and he would have a good chance to have the old Arnav back. Yes, he would help her! He looked around when he noticed a nursery nearby. He held Khushi's arm and dragged her into nursery. Khushi was bewildered as she looked around. Maan spoke, "Arnav ko gardening pasand hai. Toh tum use tohfe main ek rare paudha dedo." Maan spoke with the owner of the store who pointed out a rare plant. He took it and placed it in Khushi' hand while he paid for it. Khushi looked at the price tag and was shocked. The sapling cost was 4000 Rs. How could she take this? No, she could not. She spoke up, "Yeh bahut mehengi hai, Sir. Humaare paas itne paise nahi hai." "Main pay kar raha hoon.", Maan told her as he walked off to the car. She followed him. "Sir, par aap…", Khushi spoke only to cut off by Maan's glare. "Tumne jo favour Mujhpe kiya hai meri problem solve karke, yeh uska thank you hai.", Maan told her as he sat in his car. She followed him and sat beside him. She felt proud that she was a secretary of such a big hearted guy. If only Arnavji was big hearted enough to forgive her!

Suddenly, Maan got a call from Dadima. "Beta aap aaj shaam ko time pe ghar aa jaayiye. Der mat kijiye. Aapko Sonia ko Doctor ke paas le jaana hai. Aaj unka Doctor ka appointment hai." Maan nodded his head as he heard Dadima speak. "Ji Dadima. Use kahiye shaam ko tayyaar rahe. Main ghar aake use le jaaunga."

Place - Guest room of Khurana Mansion

Maan entered Soni's room with apprehension. Will Khushi's plan work? You are Maan Singh Khurana. What are you scared of? He lectured himself. Soni turned around to see who had entered her room. When she noticed Maan she turned away but she was delighted. He was here. "Main tumhare liye kuch laaya hoon.", Maan mumbled out. He never felt this nervous before. He realized this was his last chance. He had no other ideas left for appeasing her.

Soni smiled. Finally he was gifting her personally, instead of sending it through someone's hand. She schooled her features to neutral and turned towards him. He handed her a box. She opened it only to notice bangles and jhumkes. She felt so happy. She realized that she loved bangles and jhumkas and Maan must have known her enough to know that. She happily removed the red ones from the box and started wearing it. "Yeh aapne khud bazaar jaakar khareeda?", she asked him. He nodded his head. "Mere liye?", she questioned him again. He again nodded his head. What else could he do? She smiled at him brightly as she wore the jhumkas. She went and stood in front of the mirror and admired herself.

Place - Outside Khurana Constructions

Arnav was frustrated. He was waiting for a glimpse of Khushi while he hid in his regular hiding place. She was yet to come. Where was she? The staff had already gone and even the watchman told him that she was not in office premises. Then where did she go? Was she alright? Arnav was horrified. Slowly his frustration turned to concern. That's when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Khushi had sneaked out of the back door and walked towards the spot where she had seen Arnav yesterday. She smiled when she saw him standing in that place. She sneaked from behind and placed her hand on his shoulder.

Arnav turned around to see Khushi standing there. He felt relief at seeing her safe but soon anger took over. He turned around and was about to walk away when he felt her hand holding his wrist. He turned around only to see her thrusting her hand forward with a plant in her hand. He took the sapling curiously and examined it. It was one of the rarer plants and she had gifted him that. He felt humbled that she had actually researched what he had liked and bought it for him. Her gesture touched his heart. He could not stay angry at her anymore.

"Hum sorry hain, Arnavji. Phir se aisa kabhi nahi hoga. Hum praamis karte hain Arnavji! Hum thode bachkaane hain, par hum kabhi aapka dil nahi dukhana chaahte the. Humein maaf kijiye, pleez.", Khushi spoke up and held her ears but he did not respond. She spoke up again, "Dil se maangi hui maafi toh sab sweekar karte hain. Aap bhi karlijiye na, Arnavji!"

Place - Guest Room at Khurana Mansion

"Ab toh Maaf kardona, Sonia.", she heard Maan pleading with her. She turned around and smiled at him. "Aap itne pyar se khud chunke yeh tohfa laaye hain aur dil se maafi bhi maang rahe hain. Toh theek hain. Maan, Maine aapko maaf kiya.", she told him happily. He gave her a tender smile. "Thank you Soni. Tum ruko. Main fresh hokar tumhein neeche le jaata hoon. Aur hum Doctor se milne ke baad park mein ghoomne chalenge.", he told her and was rewarded with a full 1000 watt smile.

Place - Outside Khurana Constructions

"Main tumhein maaf kar sakta hoon Khushi, lekin meri do shartein hain." Arnav told Khushi. She looked at him in shock. She was ready to accept any shart as long as he forgave her. "Pehla shart yeh hai ki main tumhein Afreen bulaaunga aur tum bura nahi maanogi.", he stated his first condition. She smiled and nodded her head. At this point, she couldn't care even if he called her chudail or dayan. "Aur doosri shart - tum mere saath abhi coffee peene chalogi paas ke coffee shop mein." She again nodded her head but stopped. Then she shook her head. Arnav raised his eyebrow. Khushi mumbled while looking contrite, "Hum coffee nahi peete. Humein chaai pasand hai."

Khushi was baffled when Arnav started laughing. She did not understand what was so funny in drinking tea? She shrugged her shoulders as she followed Arnav to his car.

P.S. Hey Guys! Exactly one month back on this day as in on 29^th April I wrote and updated my very first Maahi scene! How fast the time flies! See you on 31^st!
