Thanks a lot for you feedback and immense love to this FF because of which now we are on a new thread.

I just want to clarify one point. In last update, Maan was not directly comparing Poonam and Geet but he was just sharing with Poonam that like she was with him in start of his career, Geet is there with him now in his career. It was not a personality comparison but more from a companionship POV.

Eva –That was not a closure of Poonam's chapter. Intensity may have reduced but you will see some more monologues and scenes before that angle is completely understood. There has to be an acceptance by two parties – Maan and Geet and both is yet to happen.

Poem below has been penned down by Piya, my darling friend. Thanks honey for giving words to the feelings which thro in Maan and Geet's heart.

Chapter 27

They went back to "Select City Walk" to have Italian food at "Italian Kitchen" restaurant. As it was still early for dinner, Vicky insisted to go for gaming at an arcade. Maan, Dev and Vicky went for gaming as girls wanted to go for window shopping.

Daadima – "Geet beta aapne humein ishare se yeh kyon kaha ki you want to go for window shopping. You want to buy something?"

[Geet beta, why did you signed to us that you want to go for window shopping. You want to buy something?]

"Ek anjaana sa ehsaas hai ye

Mathbhari si pyas hai ye

Geet answered as slight blush crept up her face – "Woh Daadima…Maan ko itni badi success mili hai. He got something for everyone but did not get anything for himself. So I thought if I could get a gift for him also. After all he deserves a present foremost."

Daadima and Meera beamed – "You are absolutely right Geet. Hum toh bhul hi gaye."

They walked around the mall for few minutes when Geet saw a "Montblanc" showroom. She went inside and picked up a pen set and a wallet for Maan

After shopping, Daadima was feeling a little tired, so Meera decided to go with Daadima inside the restaurant while Geet went to get the boys back.

Kuch toh baat zarur hai shayad

Jo Fizayon mein rangeeniyon ki hai raunak

Aaj barzo baad kuch badla sa lag raha hai

Hawayon mein ek nayi taazgi ka basera sa hai

As she hurried inside, she collided with Maan who was coming outside to make a call due to loud noise inside. Geet instinctively clutched onto Maan's shirt as she started to fall and Maan held her by the waist.

They shared an eye lock as Maan pulled Geet towards himself. They both were breathing hard and did not realize how close they were standing to each other when a parent made a disapproving sound – "Kid's place par bhi logon ko romance sujh raha hai"

[In Kid's place also people start romancing]

Color splashed on Geet's cheek as she realized Maan's proximity and how his warm breath was teasing her face. Maan left her abruptly – "Tum thik toh ho na"

[Are you alright?]

Geet nodded.

Maan looked around – "Daadima kahan hain?"

[Where is Daadima?]

"Ji woh thoda tired feel kar rahi thi so she has gone inside the restaurant with Meera. Mein aapko hi lene aa rahi thi"

[She was feeling a little tired so she gone inside the restaurant with Meera. I was coming to just get you also]

"Kuch kharida tumne?"

[Did you buy something?]

Geet nodded again. She lifted her hand to give package to Maan – "Aapne apne liye kuch nahi liya. I don't know much about your choice but I felt it was an appropriate gift for your success"

[You did not buy anything for yourself. don't know much about your choice but I felt it was an appropriate gift for your success]

Khilkhila rahi hai har kali dal dal par

Mushkura rahi hai ye fiza waqt k khushnuma chal par

Koi dor hai tere mere darmiyaan jo mita raha hai dooriyon ki ye daastan

Sach kahe toh ab yakeen sa ho raha hai k bun chuke ho tum inn saason ka karwan

It will be understatement to say that Maan was touched deeply as he felt loved and cherished. He spoke softly - "Tum mere bare mein itna kyon sochti ho?"

[Why do you think so much about me?]

Geet just turned more scarlet at the unintended question which slipped through Maan's mouth.

Maan opened the bag and took out the pen set first. He opened it and smiled.

Geet was flat looking at the charming smile. "Haye Marjawaan"

As Geet openly drooled over Maan and his smile, Maan opened the set. He took the ball point pen out and caressed it. "It is very elegant and beautiful" Maan wondered that how she bought the perfect gift for him because he loved collecting pens. He realized that subconsciously also she knew him very well.

Geet was startled out of her drooling session hen Maan extended his hand to her.

Geet was surprised not understanding his intention – "Hmmm"

Maan – "Tum laga do"

[You put it on.]

Geet felt excitement course through her body as she shyly took the pen. With shaking hand, she parted his shirt pocket and hooked the pen in.

"I really liked it Geet. Thanks a lot and I will use it for signing every future deal."

He kept the fountain pen back and took the second box out which had wallet. Maan caressed it slightly feeling the new leather and it's texture.

"It is also very nice but I will change it at home."

"Come on Bhai….not fair. You need to do it now"

Dev said as he stood in the corner with Vicky seeing his Bhabhi put the pen lovingly into his Bhai's pocket.

With that he lunged forward and before Maan could react put his hand in Maan's back pocket and took out the wallet.

Geet and Vicky laughed as Dev tried to run with Maan's purse as Man stopped him. Wallet fell down in the struggle and opened. Geet picked it up and noticed Poonam's photograph in the photo leaf.

Suddenly Dev's voice died as he also noticed the photograph. He whispered – "Bhai!!!Geet I am sorry"

Geet just shook her head with a slight smile – "No…no sorry required. Waise bhi don't spoil such a good mood."

She folded the purse back and gave it to Maan.

Chalthe the jin raho par hum tanha ab jaana humne ki tum ho uss raah par humare humnawa

Bus ab hai kuch lamho ka fasla tai hi karlenge ye safar bankar ek dusre ke rehnuma"

An unknown pain pierced Maan's eyes as he saw her controlling her laughter, then tears and then trying to smile to assure him all was well. He wanted her to be happy but he had ended up giving her pain again.

Geet noticed as a forlorn and guilty look passed on Maan's face. Last thing she wanted was to ruin this day for him. Not only was it special but she knew he had put in lot of efforts for her happiness. She picked up Vicky and linked her arms with Maan.

"Chalo bhai hum toh chalte hain. I am so hungry. Aur Vicky tumhare bad daddy ko hum yahi chod ke jaate hain"

[Come, let's go. I am so hungry. And Vicky, we will leave you bad daddy here only]

Dev smiled and pulled his ears as if saying sorry – "Nahi baba….humein bhi bhook lagi hai"

[No baba….I am also hungry]

Geet gave a flashing smile to Maan – "Chaliye na…please"

[Come, let's go please.]

Maan blinked his eyes at her effort to bring back things to normalcy. He placed his hand gently over Geet's hand holding his arm and walked on.

Dinner was full on masti with Geet and Vicky making sure that no one had respite from laughing. Maan just smiled looking at his family happy and having fun together.

I jst came across this FF...and read 15 chapters in one go..It's an amazing FF...like some beautiful movie with all elements in it.

Loved the entry of both Maan and Geet ,Geet's entry was totally dhansoo!!! This girl is truly gem of a person. She is successful in her career , affectionate and at the same time very humble . Loved the bonding of the whole Handa family especially Rahul and Geet I absolutely loved this particular line of Rahul.

"Ups and downs are part of life but they should be yours and not someone else's. If they are yours because you created them then it is worth living through them"

I loved these lines ..most of the times the decisions we take might not be right sometimes ,the path might not be smooth ,Time and situations might make us question our own decision..we start cribbing ,blaming our self ,blaming the situations but when we realize that this is a result of our own decision , no-one is to be blamed for it and we realize that we have considered few things before taking any decision and there's no need of regretting .We become strong enough to live through such difficult phases of life...We become strong enough to think ,work and set things right no matter how difficult it might be. I haven't read the whole FF yet but these lines were so amazing and true, that I couldn't help but write all this!!

I loved the painting Hope.

"Though there is no sun on the horizon but the light of the painting signifies the warmth as she stands looking up to clear skies touching soft petals, breathing the crisp air and feeling the nature with her outstretched hands."

There's n Sun ,no sunshine, Darkness is a part of life yet the girl is feeling the beauty of the nature while opening her arms wide ,trying to feel and enjoy those precious, priceless moments. Amazing!!

Maan-Geet marriage update was heart-wrenching ...Maan's inner turmoil was very well described. He is not able to forget his past ,he is not yet ready to forget everything and accept things with open arms.

Geet's reaction was not a shocker for me!! How would she have felt when the person who she has just married , her life-partner with whom she thought of sharing her whole life telling her that He is still in love with Poonam and this marriage was probably a mistake. Geet being a lively ,independent girl who was always surrounded by people who always loved her to the core ,the reaction was quite natural , I guess!!

You are an amazing writer ,I absolutely loved the part when Geet sees the sky ,the clouds, the sun ,the rainbow,the scent of earth and then she takes her decision. Absolutely amazing!! Those words were so beautiful and peaceful..I re-read them.

Maan's gift was really special , His gesture brought a smile to Geet's face ,he does care for her ,for her happiness. I loved their room-mate cum friends talk ! I'm loving Geet's character . She is a girl , Who knows how to talk , who can take decisions for herself without blaming any-one or anything. The deepening bond between Geet and Vicky is is simply amazing.

I wanted to read the whole FF in one go and then comment but now I have to go somewhere so I thought of posting this comment..!! 😛

Your insight already is an inspiration just like your writings.

I like my heroines to be very strong as that is what I always loved about GHSP also. So glad you are liking her character in this FF. It is quite different from usual FFs and probably has a shade of me – Bikes and Engineer. But I am not that good with art.

I have dreamt of "Hope" many a times and it is one of my fav dream. Also, I loved the fact that you liked my metaphors with nature. I guess that is one thing common with the way you write as well.

Waiting for you to catch up on all parts. And thanks once again for reading and liking it.
