Chapter Two

Everyone seemed to have calmed down a bit when Khushi accepted the deal. Arnav tried to persuade her not to telling her " there is no need for this" "are you dumb" "why do a bet where you'll surely lose" but when had Khushi listened to anything Arnav said. But deep down Khushi was really scared. As much as she didn't like to admit Arnav was a pro and a very good player. Of course he didn't play his full potential but he still was far better than the rest. All she had done was play with La, how the hell was she going to win. It would be a miracle if she won. "Why couldn't she for once think before speaking"

She left soon afterwards. Didn't want to be late for her jiji's big day. She took a quick shower because she smelled like a pig after lifting all those boxes and put on a very pretty dress https://bit.ly/Jq9YG5 a far outcry from how she usually dressed at school. Usually her hair was always in a ponytail or bun but today she wore her hair down. Minimal makeup and killer high heels, Khushi looked exquisite.

Half an hour later Khushi was standing with Amma and Bauji getting introduced to uncle and aunti. They were one of the nicest people khushi ever met and instantly felt at home. Jiju was busy in a meeting and jiji was probably shouting at him over phone for not making it on time. Both of them loved each other but they fought a lot.

Khushi was sulking because there was an important match going on TV and she was missing it due to the party. Today was the finals!! God life is so cruel at times!! She once wanted to refuse coming then she thought about jiji and decided to come. So as long as she was in the party she might as well eat, khushi thought as her stomach rumbled.

Oh no!!! Only one shrimp cocktail left. She loved those, must get it before someone else. She darted past someone to get the last piece.

"What the!!!" "Gupta???"

She didn't need to turn around to recognize the voice "Raizada???"

"What are you doing here?" both of them yelled simultaneously.

Arnav was looking mindblowing in his three piece suit. He was always good looking but now he was looking handsome. Her breath hitched and she felt like... no!!! nooo!!! arch-nemesis, he is your arch-nemesis!!! always remember that...

Arnav had always seen khushi in pant shirts and her hair in a bun with pencil sticking out of it... a notebook in her hands for taking notes... not that she didn't look cute in that but today she was looking sexy... SEXY!!! Did he just think she was sexy in his mind!!! must be due to the lack of girls here...

Both suddenly realized that they were probably openly staring at each other, colored and looked at anywhere but each other.

"So what are you doing here"

"Actually it's my jiju's party. What about you?"

"Who's your jiju?"

"Akash"

"That means you are Payal's sister. But payal has only one sister. Wait don't tell me you are the Chamkili?" Arnav looked at her shocked.

Khushi groaned loudly." Shit!! Jiji told you that name? I'm so gonna kill her. How do you know jiju btw?"

"He is my cousin."

"Wait you are Chotte!!!" It was now Khushi's turn to be shocked.

"Di!! Why does she need to call me that infront of everyone" he said laughing. This was the first time they conversed with each other without trying to kill each other.

Arnav instead of moving away started walking with her.

"So why are you called chamkili?"

"promise you won't laugh or tell anybody else"

"I promise"

"when i was young i loved wearing bright and shiny dresses. So once amma called me chamkili and I loved the name so much it became my pet name. If anyone found out it would totally ruin my image"

"Yeah it would"

"Lol don't you wanna watch the game tonight? I'm shocked you are still here talking with me."

"Well there is a tv upstairs. If you want we can go there and watch it togather."

"I'd love to"

They spent the whole time analyzing the game and talking about it. Both of the forgot about the match against eachother on Monday.
