Arnav ( standing at the main door)

Arnav glances a short one at Khushi, standing on the table top, statue in a dancing position hip in one side, the rest in the other.
A red chunri on hand and a flower in the other.
Her face turned redder than the chunri itself.
Khushi turns around and places her hand on the chair to get down.
The second she tries to lower her feet; she can feel Arnav's hand on her hand on the chair top. He slides it on the wood and holds it steady.
His eyes on the chair, no smile, just a blank expression.
A poker face.
Khushi comes down and Arnav gets his hand off the chair immediately.
Khushi
"Arnav ji!".
He looks again towards Mrs Gomez and smiles.
He goes to his room, closing the door slightly, leaving 2 inches gap in between.
Mrs Gomez, comes near Khushi and waves her to go to her room.
Khushi:
" Mrs Gomez!
Please do not mind.
It's just that, I need to speak to him privately.
He is trying to avoid talking.
He might get a but upset, as we had a bit of a heated discussion last night.
So if you leave, I will need to clear it up with him.
And I will request you to take a break.

Mrs Gomez frankly seems to be sorry and repentant of what she just said to Khushi.
Khushi on the opposite hand starts to smile a bit at the newly found information and detail Arnav has been to in taking care of her and of her habits.
She completely gets the fact that Arnav is intentionally avoiding her look and talks.
She opts up to play along.

Mrs Gomez feels a bit relaxed and smilingly proceeds to her room.
KHUHSI WALKS TO ARNAV'S ROOM.

Khushi slowly pushes the door open and see that Arnav is in the bathroom.
She waits for a few minutes hearing the shower sound.
Mrs Gomez comes to call her and takes her in her room to change.
(After almost an hour later )
( Khushi all dressed up, has been peeking in and out of Arnavs room for the last 20 minutes )
Arnav is working on his laptop, eating a sandwich. Three coffee mugs at his table. Another laptop open in front and the land line in hand.
Files piled up.
A box of rice crackers ( 0 gram fat and sugar free) lying on the table.
Khushi peeks again into his room.
She makes a fake sigh and coughs a bit.
Still no reaction from Arnav.
Khushi thinks:
"Why is he avoiding me?
He texted me so lovingly and now when I am near him, he is totally behaving as I do not exist.
Why is he acting like that? Is he still mad about last night? Well I was very rude. I said what came to my mind. Uff! I should have stopped and think before speaking.

Khushi gets a bit worried that ARNAV might be losing it out of anger.

Head phones are in his ears.
Khushi nears a bit more and wish out any talk or warning, places a swift kiss on his cheek.

Headset on the ground. The wire disconnects from the laptop and goes to speaker. Coffee mug on the ground, water on the floor.

( he was on teleconference with five other parties. He was going through the report points, dictated by Alex. His ear phones were connected and as usual KHUSHI had no idea)
Khushi cringes up under his hold. She makes a tormented face and her head lowers down, waiting for all hell to let loose.
A minute passes
The grip gets softer. Arnav slowly makes way out from the room and takes her in the hallway.
Khushi closes her eyes shut and waits for the rebuking to commence !!!
He speaks:
"Please seat here, I am in a meeting. Will take a while.
Lavanya and Mark will come and pick you up. They texted as well.
Do you want to watch TV?

He turns on the TV and gives a Hindi channel. He strides back to his room.
(Khushi bewildered at what just happened. How could she not understand that when he did not answer her call, then he must be busy?
He was on phone and on camera?
She kissed him in front of all those people? Oh no!
Khushi picks up a through pillow and dips her head into it. He drifts in self bashing:

Khushi gets up and open the door.

His head phone still attached and laptop at hand.
He comes solely towards Khushi and signs her to follow him.
Khushi, red a tomato, follows him in his room.

Arnav hands her TWO AQUA BLUE BOXES.
And while on the phone, signs her to open it.
Khushi opens it and inside there is BEAUTIFUL BRACELET. SILVER COLOR WITH CLEAR GLASS SETTING.
Inside the other is TWO CLEAR GLASS SET STUD EARRINGS.
Khushi is stunned to her core.
After what she did, he is giving her gifts?
Arnav :
takes the mouth piece off and asks,
" WEAR THEM!"
"AND GO WITH MARK AND LAVANYA."
Khushi stands there as a statue.
What is going on?
She has never seen him like this?
He is giving gifts while on phone? And being so polite?

Khushi as a good girl, takes the jewelry out and wears them.
Arnavs signs her to come closer.
Arnav while taking over with the rest scribbles something out on a piece of paper and hands out to Khushi.
And hands a piece of paper written:

"I WILL TAKE A FEW MORE HOURS TO GET THIS DONE.
SO DO NOT WAIT.
HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH THEM.
EAT SOMETHING AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

Khushi with a lot of effort discovers the writing, amidst his terrible hand writing. But as he reads, her heart sinks.
He is completely ignoring me.
Whole day I could not talk to him .and now he is sending me off.
At night he will also not be here.

Khushi stands there for a few more minutes, trying to wrap her mind around the absurdness of his behavior.
But as told, she slowly leaves the room and joins Lavanya.
