Dobriyal House
Piya still hadn't gained conciousness. Tara sat beside her on the bed and gently stroked her head. She had cast a revival spell on her but it wasn't working. She cast the spell again but Piya still remained unconscious. Even in her sleep, Piya's face was marred with worry and anxiety and it hurt Tara seeing her baby sister lying unconscious like this. Tears ran down Tara's face while she kept stroking Piya's hair.
Tara- I am so sorry Piya. I am a terrible sister. I promised mom I wont let anything happen to you. I will never forgive myself for what happened today. Please wake up Piya. From now on, I wont ever force any of my decisions on you. I wont ever scold you. I just want you to be happy. If you don't want to go to college, you don't have to…
Piya- So I can really do anything I want without you scolding me.
Tara looked down and saw Piya awake and smiing at her.
Tara(surprised)- How long have you been awake?
Piya- Since the last 10 minutes. You are such a crybaby. I am totally fine. You get worried over nothing. But at least the last sentence works in my favour.
Tara was shocked to her Piya was playing her and got angry- You were acting unconscious!! Piya that was not funny. I was really worried. Do you know how guilty I was feeling. And what were you doing in the forest! You could have gotten yourself killed! Do you ever consider the consequences of your stupidity..
Piya pouted- You just said you wont scold me.
Tara – Piya, I am not in the mood for your joking around. You really had me worked up today. Promise me you wont do anything like this ever again.
Piya grew serious- Tara please! I finally got the chance bring Abhay Raichand to justice for killing our parents. You want me to just let him walk free.
Tara- Yes. That's exactly what I want Piya. I don't care about Abhay. I care about my sister and I wont let you get yourself killed. So please stop all this revenge planning and move on. Its time you let go of the past.
Piya was getting frustrated with Tara's relentless efforts to stop her from avenging their parents death. She was mad at Tara and her anger and frustration came out before she could stop herself.
Piya- Tell me something Tara. Do you even care about our parent's death! Or do you not love them enough to care that they are dead…
Before she could say anything further, Tara slapped Piya hard across the face. Tara was shocked at Piya's words. They had had many fights but never before had Piya hurt her like this.
Tara- You really think that low of me. After all these years I took care of you while no one was there to take care of me, this is all you have to say to me. I was crushed after I lost mom and dad but I never showed it because you were also going through a difficult time and I had to keep it together because I promised mom I'll always look out for you. You don't know even half of everything I done for you, what I have sacrificed for you. Now if you have even an ounce of respect in your heart for me, then you will stay away from Abhay Raichand.
Piya felt really guilty for hurting Tara. She never meant to hurt her. Her anger got the better of her.
Piya- Tara, I am sorry. I didn't mean to say..
Tara- Take rest. You exerted yourself too much today. You need a good night's sleep. I am going to the office so don't stay up for me. I'll be late.
Piya- Tara..please
Tara- You really hurt me today. And there is nothing you can say that will make up for it. At least don't add to my worries now.
Tara switched off the lights and closed the door behind her. Tara stood outside the room, tears staining her face as she relived the night she lost her parents. She had kept herself strong all these years but she was now felt her strength slipping away. She took out her phone and called Vihaan. He picked up after 2 rings. Tara told him to meet her outside the Dobriyal House. Vihaan sensed the pain in her voice and quickly reached Tara's house. He found Tara waiting for him outside the house. As soon as Tara saw Vihaan, she ran towards him and hugged him tightly, crying into his shoulder. Vihaan was shocked seeing Tara in so much pain.
Vihaan- Tara, what's wrong. Is Piya ok?
Tara nodded her head slowly.
Vihaan- Don't worry, she'll be fine. Nothing will happen to her.
Tara- I really need you. I cant hold myself together anymore. I don't want to be alone Vihaan. I cant take it.
Vihaan gripped Tara in a tight hug and stroked her back to soothe her. He kissed her hair and kept assuring her that he is here for her. Tara pulled back to look at him. Vihaan caressed her cheek lovingly and kissed her forehead. Tara closed her eyes feeling him close to her and laid her head on his shoulder again. They stood there hugging each other for a long time, finding strength in each other's embrace. Time had once again brought them close to each other.
Mount College
Piya walked towards her class all lost in her thoughts. Tara hadn't joined her at the breakfast table in the morning. The housekeeper said she left for office early. Piya wondered if Tara was immersing herself in office work on purpose. She was feeling really guilty about last night. Tara's hurt face was haunting her thoughts. She needs to make it right. But how…
Piya absent mindedly bumped into Misha.
Misha- hey!! Is this your way of greeting people? Yesterday you bumped into Alina.
Piya- oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there.
Misha- Please don't tell me you were lost in the thoughts of the new college hottie. That makes me the only sane girl here in this college.
Piya- Who are you talking about?
Misha- Abhay Raichand of course
Piya's temper flared hearing Abhay's name. With much difficulty she calmed herself down. Just then, the bell rang and Piya and Misha rushed to their class.
English literature 105
Piya chose the last seat as she was distracted today and didn't want to attract the teacher's attention. Misha sat in the seat in front with Samarth.
Piya whispered to Misha- Why aren't you sitting with me?
Misha- Varun usually sits on the last seat so please reserve his place. The dudealways misses the first lecture.
Misha did not mention that Varun had taken an interest in Piya and had told Misha to arrange for Piya to sit with him. Misha mentally applauded herself for her match making skills. 5 minutes into the class, Abhay entered. The professor frowned at him but let him enter. Abhay looked around the class and saw Piya sitting alone at the back. He smirked and went to her seat and sat down. Piya turned to glare at him.
Piya- What the hell are you sitting with me for? Do you have a death wish!
Abhay- As if you could even hurt me, let alone kill me.
Piya- Well I did take you out last night, didn't I!
Abhay's grin widened- Was that before or after you fainted
Piya- Say what you want, I can take you. If Tara hadn't stopped me, you would have been as good as dead.
Abhay's grin disappeared and was replaced by a deadly look of loathing- If Vihaan hadn't stopped me, I would have killed you for good.
Piya- Then why are you sitting next to me in class instead of trying to kill me.
Abhay averted his eyes. He was mad at Chand for trying to protect the Dobriyals. He couldn't disobey any direct orders from Chand which means he couldn't kill Piya. But Abhay knew how to twist his ways out of orders. And he will. He wont kill Piya but instead make her life miserable. Her suffering would be prolonged- a much better revenge than killing her. Abhay was so happy with his plan for Piya that he forgot to block out his thoughts and Piya read his mind.
It was Piya's turn to smirk- So, your creator ordered you to lay off me. Hmm, too bad. I never pegged you for a loyal dog following his master's orders.
Abhay's eyes grew red with rage and his fangs emerged ready to attack. Just then, the bell rang and the professor gathered his books and left for the next lecture. Piya turned to Abhay to tell him to find another seat when she saw Abhay's vampire side getting the better of him.
Piya- Abhay, cool it. The other students cant see you like this. The humans are not supposed to know about the supernatural world.
Abhay tried to get a hold over his rage but he couldn't find his way back. And having the murderer of his sister in front of him didn't help much either. Abhay tried to concentrate on something else to get his rage down but the chattering of the other students was irritating him. He looked at Piya at his anger heightened. He closed his eyes, tried to clear his thoughts. Piya called his name again and he opened his eyes. With the hate drained from his thoughts, he saw Piya's face in a completely different light. She was beautiful! He admired her delicate features, her porcelain skin and most beautiful of all, her baby brown eyes. As his thoughts changed course, his eyes turned from red to a blue colour. Piya was lost too. She admired the beautiful ocean blue colour of Abhay's eyes before her thoughts snapped her back to the feelings of hatred and contempt. She still found Abhay staring at her and rudely snapped her fingers in front of his face. Abhay also found his way back to reality and his calm was again replaced with hatred but he kept his rage under control. He got up from the seat and moved out of the class quickly before the lecturer came in. He couldn't understand what had happened to him in class a few moments back. He was ashamed and angry at himself for even seeing Piya in a different light. Abhay swore under his breath- Never again will you get to me like that Piya Dobriyal!
Piya was also wondering what had taken over her a while back. She didn't realize when Varun came and sat next to her. He waved hus hands in front of her to get her attention.
Varun- You day dream a lot, you know that.
Piya forced a smile- Ya I do that a lot.
Varun- You seem worried. Everything ok? I saw that Abhay give you a look of loathing. Did you have a fight with him or something.
Piya- Kind of…
The professor heard Piya and Varun talking and told them off. The rest of the lecture proceeded without much talking.
Piya was still wondering what had taken place some time ago. How could she think of abhay in other way? He was his enemy. He killed her parents. No it couldn't happen. That was wrong. But his eyes, they were still…piya snapped out of her thoughts mutterning," what the hell! Abhay raichnd is screwing my mind!"
Varun was ogling at piya. She was beautiful but he knew, she was lost in her thoughts right now. Was it abhay? He decided to ask.
Varun- piya? Are you ok? Are you thinking about abhay? Do you like him
Piya widened her eyes. She knew varun was trying his luck. She smiled and shook her head- nothing like that. Some personal issues! And abhay? Please. I don't want to waste my time thinking about some low life.
Varun was relieved- well! Glad there is someone who isnt going gaga over him. Hey! I know you are upset and I think due to him. Let me cheer you up.
Piya- what are you doing?
Varun- I know it may be a child play but it works sometimes. You will have fun. Just wait here.
Piya knew what he was working it. Some one was in big trouble. But who? varun or abhay.
Abhay was walking in the corridor. Girls were staring at him with dreamy eyes. Abhay ignored the looks. He was used to it. Varun was hiding behind a pillar with piya and misha. He had marbles in his hand.
Piya- you cant be serious varun? This is childish.
Varun smiled- no way its childish. Don't you want to see abhay tripping on the floor in front of his admirers?
Piya- I do but he will roast you. Trust me. Don't do this.
Misha raised her eyebrow- and how do you know?
Piya- varun don't!!
Varun ignored her pleas. Abhay was still walking and alina was waving her hand to him. She was running towards abhay. Varun in no time threw the marbles on the floor. Piya saw alina running towards the marbles. She didn't want alina to get hurt. Piya rushed to alina's rescue and pushed her but she herself got tripped. She closed her eyes tightly waiting to get hurt but realised she didn't touch the ground instead she was in someones arms. Piya opened her eyes and found herself in abhay's arm.
Piya kept staring in his eyes. Those eyes were something. They were hypnotic. Abhay on the other hand could feel piya's delicate waist. He felt something in his dead heart. All he could see were her eyes. They looked innocent. Both could read each other. They were feeling something that they never felt before. One touch of each other took their emotions to other level. It wasn't anger. It wasn't pain. It was something else. Both could read different waves of emotion in each other's eyes. They wanted to feel anger but right now, they couldn't. it felt like destiny was pulling them together though they want to part.
Students were looking at them with their mouths opened. They looked perfect together. Varun was fuming. Girls were jealous. Misha shook her head. Alina had her eyes wide open. She never expected this. Being a hybrid, she could feel their emotions. She smiled to herself," this had to happen and will happen soon."
Suddenly they could remember their loved one who were killed. This couldn't happen to them. What was happening anyways?
Piya snapped out first- how dare you touch me raichand?
Abhay retorted- I didn't want to but I cant help if girls throw them at me
Piya- leave me raichand! Now! Or you will regret.
Abhay smirked- pleasure is all mine.
Abhay dropped piya on the floor. She hit the ground pretty hard. Piya was shocked. She immediately got up dusting herself and yelled- how dare you do that blood sucker?
Abhay rolled his eyes- listen Richie witch! I saved you from falling because you saved my sister and I dropped you for obvious reasons and don't you ever call me that. Got that!
Students were confused and shocked beyond words. They started gossiping among each other. What was happening? No one could make out what they were speaking. Varun and misha kept staring at them. Misha muttered to herself which were barely audible- why do I feel they have a past
Varun heard it- they surely do!!
Alina interrupted their fight- abhay and piya! Stop creating a scene. You both are in college. Solve all your problems later. And I mean that.
Abhay snapped- stay out of it alina. This witchy dobriyal should know whom she is dealing with
Piya crossed her arms across her chest and smirked- ofcourse I know. You are the great blood sucker raichand
Abhay- don't call me that
Piya- feelings are mutual
Abhay and piya kept glaring at each other. If looks could kill, someone would have been dead for sure. A voice called from behind," some things never change! Do they?"
Everyone turned towards the voice. abhay and piya were shocked to see him. They looked at each other and then him. Abhay asked," what are you doing here?"
Piya muttered- not again! Blood sucker was not enough that now I have to deal with a dog too.
Abhay smiled- jeh khurana! What a pleasant surprise. Look dobriyal we have a visitor
Alina yelled- ok guys enough everyone. Show is over. Please disperse. Princi is on the way
The students dispersed. Misha and varun left too. They were too curious to know what had happened just few moments ago.
Piya- so we have a dog too. What brings you here?
Jeh smirked- ofcourse you and your darling blood sucker. I was missing you guys. Didn't you guys miss me? It has been so long!!
Alina- cut the crap jeh! Why are you here?
Jeh smiled- hey hybrido! So you are still alive? I thought may be..
Piya- listen jeh! Come to the point
Jeh shook his head- well the point is…I have joined this college. I am a student here! So guys you have your old friend back.
He waved a salute and walked off. Abhay muttered- everyone are coming back once again
Piya- history is repeating
A curious pair of eyes had watched everything. He smiled slyly and took his cell phone out to call someone," Master! Abhay and piya are still fighting. They are ready to kill each other the very moment. I don't have to do anything. We don't need to worry about them. But I have a news. Jeh khurana is back! He has joined mount college"
