Anyway guys some of you were saying that its harsh that I killed Anjali off...the point is that she did love him crazily and he hurt her...there are people in this world that honour is more important to them than anything therefore they choose death. So please do not judge.

Part 38

Aman walked behind Arnav and began questioning him. "Sir why you bought me here in Maan Singh khurana's house? It's a private do and I was not needed here".

"Shut up Aman...just do as I say...plus I'm sure you will find Adi an interesting character..he is a duffer like you!" He gave Aman a teasing smirk and walked in.

Arnav was greeted by Dadima and Maan. "Dadima this is Arnav Singh Raizada".

"Call me Arnav...namaste Dadima". He touched her feet and she blessed him happily.

"Arnav uh come over here..this is my best sister in the world Anvesha..but we call her 'Annie'". Maan hugged and kissed his sisters's forehead. Arnav looked on with envy remembering his bond with Anjali. Maan stood there talking for a little while and excused himself.

"Hi I'm Anvesha..and this my fianc Arjun.." ASR shook hands with Arjun.

"I f you don't mind Mr Raizada can I call you bhai..as your like my brother Maan's age?" He looked on touched and nodded his head in approval. It had been years since someone called him bhai again.

"So Annie Maan was telling me that you want to open a fashion outlet? What experience do you have?"

"To be honest I just finished my fashion degree and now want to put all I learnt into practise..I love fashion! Thats the reason I would love to have your help..as your the best in this field."

Arnav stood there listening to Anvesha and her plans. Adi came and provided Arnav with some snacks and a drink. Aman walked up to ASR. "Sir they are a nice family na?"

"Ya Aman..why does everything here remind me of Anjali?..You know Aman I rarely made mistakes and when I did make them they were grave..I just ruined everything..everyone has so much happiness and who do I have?.. no one...I wish sometimes I turned the clocks back and never did what I done to Khushi..if I did not treat her like that..never mind...forget that..can you believe Maan is married?" He looked over to Maan.

"I'm surprised with his temper like yours I would have thought he would never find anyone!". Arnav turned and arched his eyebrow sternly. Aman stammered and changed the subject.

"Sorry sir I did not mean that...I meant". Before he dug himself a hole deeper, Aman was saved by the sudden change of lights.

The lights went dim and Arnav began taking a call on his Bluetooth. He turned his back to the stage and continued talking.

"Sir look.." Aman said in disbelief. Arnav ignored him. "Sir please look"..he continued with the call. Aman pulled at Arnav and he turned around. "WHAT THE F***!"

He looked at the stage like the world had stopped. His hands became numb and he felt a strange excitement like someone had come from the dead.

His mouth dropped seeing the person he had prayed to see in flesh again- Khushi sitting on a chair with a book. She was wearing a red lengha looking magnificent.

Arnav first let it sink in; he looked at Aman to make sure Khushi was actually there and not a mere wish of his imagination. Aman touched and nodded at ASR to convince his boss that it was indeed his Khushi. A tear escaped the corner of Arnav's eyes and his heart rate became really fast with excitement. Maan and Khushi were performing infront of family and friends.

Arnav looked on boiling seeing Maan lift Khushi like that. He clenched his jaw and then squeezed his fists for control. He for the first time he did not feel that he wrote people's destinies but destiny made him what he is today. Arnav Singh Raizada felt helpless. He looked on like someone had shredded his heart into a million pieces.

The performance finished and everyone clapped. Maan gave a kiss on Khushi's forehead and helped her come down the stage. Aman out of excitement for his employer started pulling Arnav to go to Khushi. Arnav stayed rooted and he looked back at ASR confused.

"Sir we found Khushi Mam, lets go and speak to her"

"Aman I can't.."

"But why sir? Listen sir I will help you get her back...we will talk to her and explain everything...it will be hard but we can do it".

"Nah leave it Aman...my sin is so grave that God is still punishing me..." He turned around and flicked his tear with his thumb to stop anyone noticing that the great ASR cries.

"I don't understand sir so many years you been suffering and looking for her and now that we have found her your saying this?"

Arnav looked straight into Aman's eyes. "Khushi is Maan's wife".

"WHAT?! How could you say that?"

"Maan told me that he will be performing with his wife.." He forced a fake smile. "I hurt and humiliated her so badly that she moved on..I broke her heart so badly..what do you expect her to do? I would have done the same".

Aman looked at Maan and Khushi upset that another blow life had been hurled at his employer Arnav. He consoled him with his hand on his shoulder and ASR fought back his tears. His only hope to live had been dashed too. Dadima and Annie hugged Khushi and praised her.

"Kya baat hain beta, you look like a million dollars...koi bi pisal jaye tume dekh kar" winked Dadima.

Geet ran and gave a wolf whistle to Khushi. Khushi laughed and hugged Geet. "Khushi what a rocking performance..you were better than Maan". She looked at Maan annoyed.

"You look gorgeous Khushi..really". Maan added to the praise. Arnav looked on at Khushi who had not noticed him yet. *Yes Khushi looks beautiful and you're so lucky to have her Maan".

Maan realised Arnav looking on intently. "Oh my Lord I forgot!" Maan touched his forehead. "Khushi...uh Geet come here..I forgot to introduce you". Khushi looked on shocked, her eyes widened and her mouth went into an O shape. She began looking away. Maan put his arms around Khushi and walked her close. She tried to hide her pain seeing Arnav again. Her eyes began welling up and she tried smiling. She began fidgeting with hands and Arnav noticed.

"Arnav this is my whole family...actually Khushi there is someone missing...uh... where's my son?"

Arnav looked on confused. Suddenly a toddler ran and jumped up at Maan. "Here I am dad!"

"Comeee hereee...hows my rockstar?"

"Cool dad!"

There came the biggest blow and hurt. Maan and Khushi even had a son. Maan teased his son and then turned to Arnav.

"ASR this is my son Aryan..." He playfully rubbed his head and kissed his cheek. "Dad don't do that I'm big now..Mama tell dad na?"

Khushi smiled awkwardly and picked Aryan from Maan. Geet came close and kissed Aryan. "Aryan tum bahut shaitan ho gaye ho, main tumari mama ko shakait karoo ki ke kal kya tum ne kiya".

"SSShhh Aunty please I promise I won't do it again". Geet laughed and picked him. He came off and pulled Maan's shirt. "Dad who is the guy?"

Maan laughed and then picked him up. "Aryan this is your uncle...ASR".

"Nice to meet you ASR". Arnav smirked and picked him up. "Same as dude!".

"Can I call you ASR instead of uncle..makes you look old". Aryan continued with a cute lisp.

"Ya you can call me ASR".

Arnav and Aryan hit it off. Aryan stayed with Arnav for a while asking him all his childish questions. Arnav took a shine to him too. After a while Aryan went to sleep in Arnav's arms.

"Khushi Aryan has gone to sleep..put him to bed"...Maan asserted her.

Khushi without any choice began walking slowly towards Arnav. He looked on with pain that she had gone away from his life for good. She came near smoothing her hair. She did not want to come close to Arnav ever but she had to pick her son. She put her hand on Aryan and tried to scoop him but as she was not using both hands he slightly slipped. Arnav put his hand under Aryan again touching Khushi's in the process.

She flinched and looked at him. He looked into her eyes. *Khushi I am happy at least your alive unlike Anjali...I am happy that your married and settled..its my punishment to lose you forever*

He removed his hands quickly and let her take hold of him. Khushi picked him up and quickly made her way up. "What is Arnav doing here? He is my past and I cannot let anyone know that he is the man that ruined my life...Khushi just ignore him...don't let him affect you...your life is with this family...I have never told them about Arnav before and I am not going to start either...but what was he doing here? I better ask Maan".

Arnav looked on till she disappeared towards her room. Maan came close to Arnav and began talking to him. "So Arnav I am trusting my sister in your hands okay?" Arnav nodded and put his sunglasses on.

"Uh Maan I need to go...got something important to do". He asked his leave and drove off to a secluded spot. He drove really fast not really caring. His eyes just playing back all his moments with Khushi..their love...his betrayal...the pain he gave her...he put the brakes on fiercely and came out of his car. He was pacing on the road.

"Arnav she's gone..gone from your life...you always loved her but your ego your arrogance and your stupidity has ruined the chance you had with her...you made a mistake with her and your still paying for it...I'm glad that she is alive..at least that is some consolation...My punishment is pining for her love forever..she deserved someone better and she got him...Maan is a decent person and she deserves all the happiness..I only gave her pain...its good she has got on with her life..I'm happy for her...she has such a sweet son... Arnav Singh Raizada you had your chance but you lost it forever".

He continued pacing and fidgeting with his hands. When his thoughts became overbearing he yelped in pain and broke down near his car.

"GODDD WHYYY???"

*All I'm going to do is help Anvesha and just walk out of her life..I can't poison her life again. Khushi I really did love you and I hope you can forgive me...my love for you will never fade..but I know some crimes cannot be forgiven and my crime I know you will never forgive but I hope you can..You really deserve all this happiness and I deserve your pain..in your happiness there is my happiness...Maan is your life and I accept that*

He wiped his tears and got up feeling relieved he had let out all his emotions which he had blocked for many years. A tiny part of him was relieved seeing her life at least he did not have to bear the burden on having another person he loved dead.
