Chapter 1 ' As the sunrises

"Yes. Hmm..Uh-han", she listened sipping down her forth masala chai (gingered tea) of that night. "Alright Ma'am, this is a very common problem that you are experiencing. I would advise you to use the special fin brush that should be attached to your air conditioner to clean off the accumulated dirt in the condenser", explained Khushi in her almost robotic tone, an American robot perhaps. "You sure that's the only problem?" she heard through her headset and forced a professional smile onto her face. "Yes Ma'am, if your air conditioner still doesn't blow cool air then you can always call back and the customer care will send a professional to repair it", no matter how tired Khushi was, her voice never reflected even a slight hint of tiredness, which is why most of her customers were usually left impressed. "It's always a pleasure to help you. Have a nice day Ma'am"

"OKAY! That was my ninety-seventh and the last call for the day. Oh yeah twelve of which were just prank calls" grinned Khushi sarcastically as she got up stretching her arms up in an exhausted manner and soon fixed her long skirt along with her white cottoned top that had wrinkles due to long sitting hours. "So what were the pranks about this time?" shot back a curious NK pulling off his own headset. "Don't ask!" and before he could pressure her more, "I'm serious", she warned with her playful eyes, "as you say Khushi JII" emphasizing the 'JI' he grinned. With that they begun walking towards their locker rooms joined by few more colleagues, to finally get rid of their company tags that felt like strangled wires around their necks. "So what prank calls'" he tried again in the middle of taking of his tags when he felt a painful smack on his right arm followed by a very stern "shut up!"

---

"I don't give a damn. I want that location for my next show, if it's already booked then pay them double and book it for AR. Is that clear Aman?" was the final decision he declared in a raspy yet firm voice, jogging his way through Delhi streets. For Arnav it was always his way or no way at all. As he took another turn, his pace slowed down due to few shadowed rays appearing on the road he was jogging on. Taking a break for a minute or so, he stood there sipping down his water watching dead streets come to life, reminding him, the sun also rises.

Khushi stood admiring the bright sky as the rays of sun from the rise covered it with utmost beauty. Smile fresh as newly formed clouds. She narrowed her eyes to the shining bright sun above her. "The vehicle is going to leave, aren't you coming" frowned NK at her always lost into the sky disease. That's what he called it. "Chup kar.." she silently whispered not wanting to break the peaceful mood set by the rising sun.

"I'm not taking the vehicle today, have some shopping and all so gonna walk back home" casually mentioning her plan as they walked towards the vehicle. "Really? Chal then I'll walk back with you" he insisted and got a nod from Khushi instantly. They usually hanged out together, and enjoyed each other's company. Coming from a similar background helped them get along better. Their families were almost convinced that they were in love but when NK and Khushi heard about it, they laughed and laughed till rolling on the floor. So then it was decided that these freaks are to be left alone the way they are.

"Why the hell do you have to do all the work? Can you please explain?" an already tired NK asked massaging his neck from the stress this girl was giving him. "Because I have the energy to, unlike some people" she grinned indicating Nk as the target with her big hazel eyes. "Oh please, don't change the topic. You know I'm talking about you working all night, cranking your lungs for few morons then right here early morning shopping house hold stuff" thoroughly annoyed he stared at an ignorant Khushi who was busy picking apples. Knowing she was doing it on purpose, he moved away to the near by dhabba to order himself some breakfast because clearly he needed it right now.

"I'm hungry and you didn't have the consideration to invite me", pouted Khushi, already making herself comfortable opposite him. "Don't talk to me", he muttered stuffing a mouthful of paratha piece into his mouth. "Fine then can you order me some jalebis?" she demanded with a straight face but was surprised with his equally straight answer, "I've done that already."

They stayed silent for few minutes before Khushi took the initiative to break it. "Nk..we know each other since last two years and we have gone through this over a thousand times now" a helpless tiring voice broke into Nk's ears that made him stop everything that he was doing and look up at his now dull friend. "Even after those thousand times, I'm unable to understand Khushi" his voice softer now. "What don't you get?" but her tone beginning to shake with fury.

"None, you're a well educated graduate then why are you stuck in that call center for past three years when you could apply for much better jobs?" impatience growing into his nerves. "You know it! Buaji does not leave a chance to taunt me with various useless reasons. Each day she finds a new reason to degrade me. This job helps me avoid it ok? I don't have to face her all night long and by the time I get home, I'm way too tired to care about whatever she says. When she starts to blabber I'm already into deep sleep so she just throws some more curses and leaves me alone" by the time she had finished, not only Nk but tables nearby stared at her as well. But without saying a word he waited for her to continue.

"Plus I love talking, so this is perfect" an embarrassed Khushi mumbled while hanging her head down and nibbing on her jalebi. A slight like that would make anybody laugh, and Nk was no exception. Being angry with this twenty-year-old woman or rather girl was a hard job. He still remembered when he had joined the call center, Khushi was a year senior to him and she would take full advantage of it, by forcing him to make her tea, receive annoying calls or even lift her heavy shopping bags.

Khusi took another bite from her favorite food item and tossed the newspaper, which she had brought on way. As soon as she opened it, her already foul mood deepened reading the headlines.

'What's brewing between Arnav Singh Raizada and Tiara Dutta?'

Last evening Business tycoon, Arnav Singh Raizada was found privately dinning with the exotic model Tiara Dutta. If rumors are correct then these have been together for quite sometime now. But both denied commenting on it. Well now'

She had given up after that because reading further would be another disappointment. Flinging the newspaper towards Nk she sarcastically commented, "how does this man run an empire, when he is always surrounded by woman. I mean seriously was it last week that he was rumored to be dating some actress?" Khushi's mouth fell open when she noticed Nk wasn't even listening to her, he was completely engrossed in reading the dumb spiced up story.

---

Arnav threw away the newspaper with massive frustration and it didn't take him long to dial up. "You are in the PR section right? What do I pay you for? No just answer me." On getting a normal response like 'because I work for you sir' he busted out "oh yeah? Then why is my name on the headlines today? I had told you and I'm telling you again, I don't want Tiara and my relationship to go public. It should remain private. " Without hearing what the other person had to say, Arnav Singh Raizada had brutally hanged up already.

Chapter 2~

I need to build up initial story for further arhi scenes :) But all these are actually for Arnav and Khushi so don't be disappointed on them not meeting yet :D
