Sorry for the late update. I had an exam today otherwise I would have updated earlier! Thanks for all the lovely comments! =) Btw, after a day look back at the Character Sketch coz we've added 2 new characters.
Chapter 2
"So, tell me, how was London?" Nahi said as she drove the car through narrow roads.
"Nahi, it was amazing! Everything was beautiful! I made new friends and they were fab! Oh and the shops were soo cool! There was a lot of designer stuff like DKNY, D&G...I've got some for you. Gosh, i wanna go back!" Niha replied.
"Awwwh. So who are your friends and what are their names?" Niha's younger sister asked.
"Well, there's Nandini, Priya, Anushka, Kajol, Suhana..." the oldest sister listed as Nahi laughed. "What?"
"Don't worry. Woh choro, ab bata, plane mein kya hua?" Nahi questioned. She had been wanting to know what had happened to her older sister.
"Kya nahi hua..." Niha said as she shook her head.
After hearing the whole story, Nahi was in fits of laughter. Niha gave her the evils as Nahi stopped the car in front of their house. After 6 months, Niha would be stepping into her own house. She would see her parents even though they saw each other on Skype once a week.
Nahi opened the doors as Niha's mouth went wide open. The house had been decorated. In large bright letters, a banner had been hung on the wall saying 'Welcome Back Niha!'. Immediately, she hugged Nahi. She knew that her sister would have thought of all this.
"Nahi...You've done so much for me. First you sacrificed your studies just for me. You were going to come with me to London to study Medicine but didn't come because there would be no one to look after Baba and Maa, Then I didn't want to go but you said that I should. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been a fashion designer. You are the best sister in the world!" Niha said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Di..it was nothing. I can do much more for you..much more. And you are the best sister in the world too! Love you!" Nahi replied as the two sisters hugged once again.
People had started arriving to the Sharma House. Niha and Nahi were chatting away to all their guests. Just as Niha was walking towards Nahi, she noticed her most "favourite" guests, the Patel sisters. The Patel sisters were Niha and Nahi's worst enemies. They had all been to the same college but hated each other's guts. But, they had to play along that they were friends as Niha and Nahi's mum was best friends with theirs.
Nahi and Niha looked at each other and sighed deeply. They walked up to them and greeted the Patels.
"Hi Bipasha." Nahi said in a sweet tone.
"It's Bips okay? Some people..." Bipasha grumbled as Nahi gave her evils.
"Jay...How are you? Jealous that I went to London?" Niha said as she smiled.
Nahi nudged her which meant she had to keep quiet.
"Of course not Niha Sharma. Why would I be jealous of someone like you? You should be jealous of us Patel sisters." Jay replied as she smirked.
"Jealous of you two? Never." Niha and Nahi said together.
"You see, we have boyfriends unlike some people who don't have the look to get one!" said Bipasha as she made a hand gesture.
Entering the Sharma house were two hot desi boys. All the girls looked at them and giggled between themselves. As the Sharma sisters turned around to see who it was, they got the biggest shock of their life! It was John and Imran!
"Hey babes!" chorused John and Imran as they stood beside their so-called girlfriends. The boys looked at Niha and Nahi. John smiled at Nahi while Imran and Niha shared evils."Hey Niha Biha. Welcome back-NOT!" Imran greeted as Niha trod on his foot. "Owww!""How dare you!?!" shouted Jay as she gave a Don't You Dare Do That Again face to Niha.
As if Niha cared. She wandered off with Nahi, leaving Imran still holding his foot.
Like always, Niha was up for some fun so she decided to play her favourite game called Dumb Charades! Everyone was split into 2 teams. The first team was Imran, Niha, Jay and the other team was John, Nahi and Bipasha. They sat opposite each other as Nahi brought a small bowl full of chits to the center of the room.
"Okay, you all might know how to play this but let me just explain. Basically there's 2 teams and a person from team 1 has to come up and take out a chit. In the chit there is a name of a Bollywood film and the person has to tell the people in her group without using any words. You only get 2 minutes to guess." Nahi explained as everyone nodded their heads.
First up was Niha. She took out the chit and smiled. She did a sign which meant that it was in English. Suddenly, Niha went up to Imran's face and started making scary faces. He was freaked out. Nahi was laughing soo much. She knew what her older sister was trying to do.
"Erm...Bhootni, Vampire, Zombie?" muttered Imran, who was still freaked out. Niha kept putting her index finger up."What?!?!" said a confused Imran. "Bhootni/Bhoot!" Niha nodded again but did the english sign."What the...! What's a bhoot in english?? ermm...GHOST!" Imran shouted as Niha jumped in the air.
Next it was Nahi's go. She chose a purple chit as it was her fave colour and opened it. Nahi dreaded it. "Why did I have to have this one?" she thought.
She did the hindi sign and put up 4 of her fingers."4 words in hindi, 3rd one is english." said John.She pointed to John. "Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya?" John asked.Nahi and everyone else was shocked. She didn't even give any clues. Nahi nodded and sat down as they looked at each other. John winked as she blushed. Bipasha gave a warning to John and turned away.
The game lasted for an hour. People were praising Niha-Imran and Nahi-John as a great couple because the boys' real girlfriends were rubbish at it.
Niha went to the bathroom. As soon as she came out, Jay was standing by the door."I must say how well you did in the game Miss Niha Sharma. Very well indeed. And what were people saying, Oh..Niha and Imran suit sooo much! They have a great understanding. What rubbish! Why do you want to steal him away from me? You chor!" Jay said as Niha stood there, shocked."Eww, Jay how can you think I'd steal YOUR boyfriend when I absolutely hate him. Not my fault I'm an ace at this game! "Like I'm going to believe you! I'll go and ask him myself!" Jay exclaimed as she raced down the stairs with Niha following her.
"IMRAN!!!" shouted Jay at the top of her voice. Everyone looked at her. Imran came running. "What happened sweety?""She wants to steal you away from me!" cried Jay."OMD! You big fat liar. She said that I'm stealing you away when I said I hated you so how can I! I can't believe you're going out with a drama queen!" Niha said as anger appeared on her face.
"How dare you talk to her like that Niha? Maybe Jay is right. You probably want me coz i'm too hot!" Imran said as he laughed. He was trying to solve the fight by making it into a joke. "Imran, shut up! That's not true. You're the most ugliest and most annoying man I have met in my whole life!" Niha screamed! She couldn't stand it when someone argued with her!
"Excuse me, talk about yourself! I haven't met a girl like you and never would want to meet. You are a mindless girl just like you're mindless family." Jay exclaimed.
Niha was about to slap her when Imran held her hand."How dare you talk about my family like that! Look at your own! You...you...!""Atleast she and her sister have a decent job and earn for the family unlike your sister who wanted to be a doctor but ended being a non-working woman!" Imran shouted! Niha was shocked. How did he know? "How dare you talk about my sister like that? You have no right too. You *beeep*" Niha said as tears rolled down her face.
She stormed out of her house and into the dark, stormy night.
