CHAPTER 23
Maan was not aware of what he was doing ……………. He just sat under a tree watching the sky without any aim …………….. he was too much occupied to think anything ………………. How should he react? ………..Was his mistake or its just a game played by fate …………………. Everything would have been different if he had had some sense that day ……………….. Its not that he regret but it was sudden shock ………………
Maan stayed in that place until he was able to catch up with himself ……………………. Late almost half past one he walked into the house …………………
"Finally you came " maan turned to see geet leisurely leaning in the couch placing her leg on the tea-poy watching TV……………………….
"I was waiting for you ………………. Why didn't u pick the phone ? ………….. how was everything there ? …………………. Actually I wanted to stay but armaan insisted I should be with ridz to help her with Niki " geet said looking at him ………………
Maan just stood there watching her not talking anything ……………..
" maan what are u thinking ? …………….. come here " she said gesturing with her hand to come near him ………………………..
Maan went near and sat …………….. she placed her head in his shoulder and hugged his arms …………………
" I was waiting for u and then decided to watch a film ………………. Movie is actually good u know it has many romantic scenes and I was really missing u seeing that …………….. thank god u r here now " she said snuggling close to him
" where is sid? " maan asked
"He already slept ……………….. He wanted to sleep with u but as u were late he slept waiting for you "geet said
Maan was just staring at the screen while thousand of thoughts were running in his mind ……………………. Geet was talking and he was just telling " yes " or " no " randomly …………….
Geet suddenly raised from him and asked " are u listening ? "
" yes baby " maan said
"maan are you ok ? U seem disturbed past 3 days " geet asked
"no geetu I m fine …..umm just business tension " maan said
" really? I have never seen u this disturbed " geet said
" I m completely fine ……………… why will I be bothered when the two most precious possession of my life is with me " maan said with a smile
"love u " geet said kissing her cheeks
Geet again involved in the movie …………….. and maan tried to concentrate on the movie ……………………… There was a scene where the heroine get drunk and the villan takes advantage of her condition …………………… maan's thoughts again went back to where it started …………………. Is it possible this could have happened in their case as well ?... maan again was lost in his pool of thoughts …………………
"stupid ideas …………….is it possible to do all this ………….. I mean get intimate in drunk state ?... these movies show stupid concepts " geet said
How ironic this was what exactly happened in their life in reality ………………….. Later the movie ended after an hour and geet got up to leave but maan held her by wrist ………………………She knotted her eyebrows…………………He lifted her and carried to her to her room ………………….
"maan whwt are you doing ? ……………… u ll end up waking sid " geet warned
Maan placed geet on the bed and knelt before her …………….
" geet plzzz today I want to sleep with u both .." maan said with pleading eyes ………………….
Geet cupped his face
" maan don't u trust me enough to share ur problems?... I know its not about business …………… is it about us ? did daadi tell anything " geeet asked
" no geetu I …………….. I ll let u know everything once I myself is clear about it ………. But trust me I ll make everything fine " maan said
Maan hugged geet and she kissed his head……………Maan settled between geet and sid …………… maan put his arms around sid who immediately turned and hugged maan ……………….maan tightend his grip around sid while geet hugged him from back ………………..
Maan always loved sid beyond limits but now the feeling that he is his son , his blood a part of him just made the feeling strong thousand times ………………….. the feeling was far beyond words …………….. He recollected the days when sid would fight with geet to drink milk or to wake up early in the morning maan always liked that sid behaved like how he was in childhood but now realizing that sid is his blood and flesh who takes after his father in everything gives maan a feeling of pride with peace …………………….
Geet woke up the morning and checked the clock it was 8 ……………… she looked the other side but didn't find maan there …………….. strange that Mr.Lazy bum was early that day …………………. She kissed sid and went to find maan ……………….. but he was not anywhere ………………… she immediately called maan
" where are u " geet asked
" at least say good morning ……………..u sound like a typical wife " maan chuckled
"yeah good morning …………… now tell me where are u ? " geet asked
" armaan has gone to attend a patient early morning so I came with ridz to the hospital ………………… I thought of waking u but u were so cute sleeping cuddling with my son so I didn't have the heart to disturb you " maan said
" how sweet " geet said
"we ll be back within 30 mins ………….. miss me till thwn " maan said
After cutting the call maan looked at armaan and ridz who were sitting front of him ……………………. Both gave him a knowing smile …………………
FLASH BACK
Maan woke up early morning …………… he didn't have mind to sleep but his son had magic in his hug that gave maan peace …………………….maan went to meet ridz she was awake thanks to niki ……………….he said that he need to talk to her and they sat in the study with coffee ……………..
" wat is it??? " ridz asked
" I want to talk to the doctor in u " maan said
"ridz sid is my son …………" maan said
" I know u consider him as ur own son " ridz said
"No ridz …………. I mean sid is my son …….,my blood "maan said and ridz looked at him with shock filled with surprise …….
Maan narrated everything what he learned from piya and what he analysed by himself …………Ridz was shocked beyond words ………………….. She never thought that this could ever be possible ……………..
" I want ur help ridz ……………. I don't know what to do …………….. how will I tell geet about all this …………….. and armaan I don't know how he will react " maan said
" maan I don't know what to say ……………. I can understand what u are undergoing ………………… its not good to tell geet as it will have a worse effect on her mind and the consequences will be bad……………..if she doesn't take it positively then this might again lead to coma …………………." Ridz said after long silence
" I can't say how armaan will react but u ought to tell him " ridz said
" I know but I don't know how to tell him " maan said
" I can help maan " ridz said giving him a understanding look
Ridz and maan went to meet armaan who was in the hospital………………..ridz gave the lead and maan told everything to armaan not looking into his eyes …………………..
Armaan was shocked and angry but ridz explained him that it was neither of their mistake ………………….. maan himself was not aware of anything and now he needs their support and not anger …………………
Thought armaan was reluctant ridz convinced him ……………….. amy was sensible enough to understand the situation …………………
" I can understand but I can't bare if geet is hurt " armaan said
" neither can I " maan said and there was truth in his eyes
" we ll think about it …………….. I ll refer her history again and tell u is it wise to tell her " ridz said and both the men agreed
Their talk was disturbed by maan's phone …………..
