Raichand Mansion
Abhay was impatiently strolling in his room. He couldn't avoid college today as well. He'll have to endure the stares, swoons and whispering. Not that he didn't enjoy humans, the kills were exhilarating, but interactions with the humans specially the college girls drooling over him was enough to have him fly off the handle with irritation. However he'd take this any day over Chand's wrath. The man was scary. Abhay wasn't surprised Vihaan took Chand's side. His brother wanted him to move on from the past but Abhay was determined to not let go of his past till he makes Piya Dobriyal pay for taking away his sister from him. Abhay picked up the photo frame by his bed and stroked the picture lovingly.
Abhay- There hasn't been a single day in these 120 years that I haven't missed you. I could deal with every hardship as long as I had you, but that's all changed now. You were the only good thing in my life before that witch Piya took you away from me. I promise to avenge your death sister.
He closed his eyes as the pain of his loss washed over him again. These moments when he mourned for his sister were the only human moments Abhay experienced in all these years. They saved him from losing himself to the darkness completely. Just as he put back the photo frame, Vihaan entered.
Alina- Ready for college brother
Abhay- you know the door is there for certain purposes, for instance, knocking!
Alina- Don't dump your irritation on me. I didn't suggest the college idea, dad came up with it. So suck it up. And maybe some time among the humans will make you see them as something other than a buffet table.
Abhay- Your humour is better crafted for the brain dead so spare me. And why are you being so snarky. Vihaan doesn't have a problem with my diet.
Alina- and I am not Vihaan! He may not mind cleaning up after you but I do. Don't you regret he pain and suffering you cause. You of all people know that pain very well.
Abhay's eyes grew dark- yes, I know that pain very well. My sister was taken away from me for no fault of hers or mine. If no regret was shown for her, why should I show regret for the people I kill.
Alina smiled sadly- I hope you see the light of the day brother before this darkness and spirit of vengeance consumes you into its dark hole. I'll wait for you downstairs.
Abhay held Alina's hand- I have already lost my soul, my humanity after that night. But I see some part of my sister in you. She was just like you. She was stubborn and she never gave up on me. I will try to do good by you but this dark side of me is here to stay. It's the only thing that has kept me alive.
Alina- do you know what's the best part of goodness and humanity, its pursuits never end but your pursuit of vengeance will end one day and then you'll find yourself back to where you were and there will be nothing to keep you going. The sooner you realize that, the better. Now come downstairs. Chand is waiting.
Alina freed her arm and left the room. Abhay sighed. It was going to be a long day.
Dobriyal House
Piya came downstairs to the breakfast table after spending some time covering up the evidence of yet another sleepless night. She was determined to not let Tara suffer along with her anymore. She would put up the pretence of moving on from the past. Even though she'll continue to burn herself in the painful memories of the past, at least her sister's mind will be at peace. She just hoped college wont be as abysmal as she was anticipating. Piya sat at the table and mouthed a good morning to Tara as she was busy on the phone as always.
Tara(on the phone)- So they are new in town. Arrange a meeting with them today itself. I prefer to know my rival business competitors well. What's the name of the MD again?
The name her secretary mentioned on the phone drained Tara's face of all colour. A sudden wave of shock hit her and she asked the name again. After a few seconds, she recovered from her reverie and after confirming her appointments for the day with the secretary, she put down her phone. Piya noticed the change in Tara's face.
Piya- what happened? Any problem at the office?
Tara gave a forced smile- yes, there is an unexpected problem at the office. I have to leave immediately. Are you good, do you want me to drop you off at college.
Piya- no I am good. Besides, I am a witch. I can reach the college in a second if I want
Tara sighed- What did I say about using your magic for frivolous reasons
Piya- Dunno. I must have phased out. Jeez grandma, give it a rest.
Tara chased Piya outside and Piya quickly hopped into the Porsche parked out front. She stuck her tongue out at Tara before driving away. As the mansion disappeared from sight, the pain returned to Piya's face. Its going to take a lot of effort to keep this act up but anything for Tara. Tara stood in the driveway watching Piya drive away. The previous look of worry appeared on her face as her secretary's answer to her question crossed her mind again.
Tara- Is it really you Vihaan?
Mount College
Piya parked her car and came out and saw Misha coming towards her. Misha eyed the Porsche and let out a low whistle.
Misha- nice ride
Piya- Thanks but I ripped it off my sister.
Misha- This makes me like you even more. I have a new found respect for you.
Misha and piya were talking and walking in the corridor. Meanwhile a black BMW halted in the parking lot. Each an every student were very eager to know who was the owner of the car. The students had crowded near the car. The gates of the car flew open. Abhay and alina got out of the car. Abhay removed his glares and looked around. Alina stood next to him. "looks like you already got admirers", she giggled. "ALINA!", abhay clenched his teeth.
alina- what did i do? it will be fun. But never mind...i know you will always be a grumpy man. you deal here. i am leaving. i need to find my class. i know you wont be attending any lectures but i will.
Alina walked away fumbling with the books. Abhay kept standing there and kept looking around. "some things never change", he rolled his eyes. T saw Abhay looking all around. she went near him and asked," hey handsome! i am T, the prom queen and you?"
abhay started walking-not interested
T blocked his way- cmon handsome. i am just asking your name.
Abhay rolled his eyes," abhay raichand and now leave my way". he pushed her aside and left. everyone around started laughing looking at her.
Misha and piya were walking when they saw everyone discussing something excitedly especially girls. "omg..he was so hot" "i wish i could date him" "do you think i should go and talk to him first" "what if he has girlfriend?" Misha and piya wondered what they were talking about. Piya suddenly started feeling uneasy. She could feel someone around. a similar aura. She started moving towards that aura when Piya bumped into a girl knocking her books out of her hand. Piya gestured Misha to go while she'll come later as the bell rang.
Piya- I am so sorry. Are you alright.
Alina- I am fine and relax, it was my fault too.
Piya suddenly got a strange aura off Alina. She sensed that Alina wasn't a human. She was something else. She tried to probe into her mind but there were barriers stopping her which raised her suspicions even more. She picked up Alina's books and handed it to her. Piya's powers soon kicked in and It didn't take Piya long to recognize her aura and she knew in that instant, Alina was a hybrid- half witch and half vampire. But what was a hybrid here of all places. Alina sensed Piya's aura too but she wasn't as powerful as Piya to recognize it. Piya continued the conversation, she was curious to know Alina's reasons for being here, and whether she was alone or there were other supernaturals in this town also.
Piya- hi, I am Piya
Alina- I am Alina. I am new here. I just joined college today with my brother
Piya- which class are you headed?
Alina- History 101
Piya- What a coincidence, me too. We better hurry before we get locked out of class. Where is your brother? Is he in the same class as you?
Alina- yes but he is bunking the class. I tried to reason with him but you don't know jusy how stubborn he is.
Piya- ok, lets go shall we.
Alina and Piya walked to class and Piya made a mental note in her mind to ask Alina to go for coffee later. She had to find out about her and her brother. They had just reached the doorstep of the classroom when Piya agian felt the same aura. The aura seemed too much familiar, like she has met this person before. Is she sensing the aura of the brother Alina was talking about? If Alina was a supernatural, her brother could be too. She looked up and down the corridor but the halls were empty. All the students were in the classrooms. Alina nudged Piya bringing her out of her thoughts. Piya left the matter and entered the class with Alina. She will deal with Alina and her brother later.
The lecture was over. During whole lecture piya kept trying penetrating Alina's mind. She was very restless and wanted to know about her and that aura. "Piya, wake up. lecture is over", misha shrieked. Alina chuckled. "i am awake alright!", piya answered.
Alina- the lecture was too boring.
Misha- seriously man..hey i gotta go. got some errands to run. see you later.
Piya and alina were left alone. Alina was getting strange vibes from piya but she wasnt able to understand why. Piya wanted to know about her everything. "hey alina, since you are new, i am new how about we meet for coffee. you know we will be able to know about each other better." Alina was also curious to know so she agreed readily.
Alina- piya i will meet you later in coffee shop. Now i have to find my brother. bye.
Piya was all alone and started walking in her thoughts. she needed to find out. Meanwhile, Abhay was too bored and started exploring the college. Suddenly, a similar aura hit him again. he needed to find out who was this person. Abhay used his instinct and started following the aura. He passed through the corrider and entered the classroom but it was empty. the aura was too strong in this class. "i need to know about this person", Abhay thought.
Dobriyal Industries: Tara's office
Tara was nervously pacing up and down the length of her office. She told her secretary to make an appointment with the MD of Raichand Industries at 10 and it was 9:45. She was getting antsy. Just then there was a knock on her door and her secretary entered. She informed her that Vihaan Raichand was here. Tara told her to send him in. She tried to convince herself that this was a different person. He cant be the same person, she wasn't ready to face him. Vihaan entered Tara's office and they both turned to face each other. Vihaan froze seeing Tara. He was shocked beyond words. He had never anticipated meeting her again. Tara was speechless as well. As the seconds passed, the tension lessened. There was a lump in his throat as he looked at the face he had missed so much. He broke the silence.
Vihaan- How have you been Tara. I never thought I'd get to see you again
Tara- I didn't expect you see you either. Its been so long. There hasn't been a single day that I haven't thought about you.
Vihaan smiled sadly- I wish I never had to leave you. I wish that incident had never happened. But I had to do it for my brother's sake.
The mention of Abhay brought Tara to see the imminent danger that will soon bring the storm she had dreaded all these years.
Tara- Is Abhay here in this town! Piya is here with me Vihaan. We moved here some time back.
Vihaan was worried now- This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. They cant see each other. It will wreak havoc. Where is Piya right now?
Tara- She is in college right now. She has just joined Mount College.
While Vihaan was worried before, he was now positively alarmed. Abhay was in the same college as Piya. They can even have met each other by now. He had to do something. He told Tara about Abhay being in the same college as Piya which had Tara alarmed as well.
Tara- We have to go to their college right now.
Vihaan noded and they both left for Mount College immediately.
Deep inside the forest…in outskirts of dehradoon
It was raining heavily. The weather was rusty and stormy. It was sheer darkness all round and complete silence. Yet there was someone out looking for his next prey. He followed his instincts and finally he got his dinner. "looks like nature is too happy. I wanted one but I got two", he smiled crookedly thinking. Looks like today he was surely going to enjoy. he stood far away thinking," humans are so foolish. Romantic date in the middle of the dark forest."
"you love me na?", the girl asked a boy standing with her. "ofcourse I love you. We will always be together ", boy replied. "I don't think so that's going to happen my friends!",they turned around to see a handsome guy standing in front of them. "who are you?", the boy asked. "your death", he replied sarcastically.
Before they could scream and react, his eyes turned red and fangs out. The boy stood protectively in front of the girl and they started moving backwards. The boy whispered, "run. I will take care of him." the girl started running. He rolled his eyes and within fraction of seconds he moved towards the boy and sucked his blood dry. His lifeless body fell on the ground. The girl screamed watching his love dying in front of her. He wiped his mouth from back of his hand, " you weren't that good. Oh I am still thirsty."
The girl was too shocked. She was crying and weeping. She stood frozen in her place. He ran towards her within seconds and stood next to her. He touched her face.
The girl jerked his hand away- please leave me. I want to go. I wont tell anyone what happened here. Please let me go"
He pulled her towards him- don't be afraid. It wont hurt. I promise.
The girl closed her eyes and he tore her top forcing himself on her. The girl was helpless. She couldn't even cry now. After playing with her, he sucked blood out of her leaving a lifeless corpse. Her scream was lost in the dark forest. But HE enjoyed killing her. it was long since he played with his food.
After sometime, he entered his house. He went to take shower to clean himself from all the dirt and blood he had on himself. After a long time under shower, he came out dressed. "you did it again. How was it?", he turned round to see a young man standing in front of him. He bowed,"master, you startled me! What are you doing here?"
Master rolled his eyes- its time. you need to go now to dehradoon.
He sighed," master?"
Master – abhay raichand and piya dobriyal are back together in same town infact they have joined same college. You are joining mount college as student. You know what you have to do
He replied monotously," befriend them and keep them apart"
Master smiled- I know you are smart.
He asked," what if they recognize me?"
Master got furious and caught his neck and pinned him to the wall- I didn't expect this from you. we have a shield around us which doesn't let others to recognize us. Don't forget who we are.
Master left his neck and continued, "if someone else would have asked this (clenching his teeth), but it was you. now get back to work." He asked," can I ask you one question?" master nodded. He continued," how do you know where they were? And why didn't you kill them that night. And why are you waiting for so long?"
Master- you said one. I know where they were because I have been keeping an eye on them. and rest of the questions, its none of your business. Just do what I say.
He bowed ," yes master" and left.
Master thought to himself- I wont let that prophecy come true. Once I reach my destination, abhay raichand and piya dobriyal will meet their end soon….
