Chapter 12
(M POV)
I woke up this morning to the smell of Chicken Tikka. I walked towards the mirror checking if I looked OK before heading out of the door. Walking into the kitchen, I felt so weak, and I knew instantly that I had a cold.
"Udayveer? When did you come here?" I asked him, feeling awful because I realised my throat hurt. I slowly walked over to the drawer which had all the medicines in, and took out the paracetamols.
"Princess, don't tell me you catched a cold from dancing in the rain." He told me, putting a hand against my forehead. "Woah, that's it. Your staying in your bedroom until you get better. No wonder you slept in today." he shook his head.
"I slept in? What's the time now?" I asked him, shocked.
"Manyata, it's 2pm! Now come on, go back to your bed, I'll bring you your lunch later," He pleaded me. I nodded, taking my tablets and then returning back to bed. I laid down, feeling exhausted and restless.

I woke up half an hour later to see Uday sitting on a chair next to my bed and thinking hard. "Uday?" I questioned him, but he still seemed to be in his thoughts. I waved my fingers at him and repeated his name again.
"Oh sorry Princess, how do you feel now?" he asked me, and he smiled seeing me smiling.
"I feel much better but..." I said. Suddenly my stomache grumbled really loudly, and Uday starting laughing. "But I'm very hungry yaar," I finished my sentence off, laughing alone with him.
"And you wish will come true," he replied, revealing a tray with rice and chicken tikka masala. I took in a big breathe, smelling the delicious food.
"Wow, did you make this for me?" I exclaimed, starting to dig into the food.
"Yup, with some help of Unniti of course," I smiled, while chewing away on my food. I saw Uday watching me eat, so I offered him some food. He happily took it, and we ended up sharing the rest of our food.
"I'm stuffed, thanks for the lunch Uday," I said. He smiled again.
"Anything for my Princess," he said, and I blushed.
"So where's Unniti?" I asked him.
"She's gone out with her friends," He told me. I nodded, not knowing what to say. "Well princess, rest well, I'll be back later," with that he talked off out of the door. I decided to take a nap, so that I would feel much better when Uday came back again.

(U POV)
I watched as Unniti came through the front door. "Dada, are you OK?" she asked me when she saw me.
"Unniti, Manyata's ill," I told her, "and I didn't get to ask you, did anything happen while I was away?".
"Manyata's ill? And dada, on the day you came back, Manyata found out something quite big." she told me. I motioned her to continue. "Her father called her, telling her why he killed her mother," she carried on.
"Manyata's father killed her mother? She hasn't told me that." I said, shocked.
"Oh Dada, I thought you knew. Her mother was having an affair with another guy, her father got angry when he found out and he then killed her mother. That's why Manyata ran away, then she got kidnapped. Surely she has told you something about it." She stated. I took a moment to take it all in.
"Choti, you should have told me this earlier. She has only told me about her getting kidnapped. Oh poor Manyata, she has been through lots, even her elder brother died of cancer." I told her. We both remained silent, and then Unniti walked into her room.
Manyata, I thought. If only I was there to stop these bad things from happening to her.
