jhanvi was not really happy but kind of felt ok.. atleast they will be together. But she was so worried for her bahu.. how will she manage with maans temper all alone.
Dad & mom found a nice 2-bedroom apartment. Rano & Jhanvi nicely furnished the place for them.
They had a small puja & settled them in the house.
The moment all the elders left Geet took her books & moved to the other room. He didn't have much to say. Whole idea was to make her happy but she doesn't seem to be happy with anything. He didn't know wat else did she expect from him. Even in the same room they used to stay like strangers now tho.. he may not even get to see her.
She settled in like she was in some hostel or something. She didn't even know wat is wat in the house. All she focused was in her studies. Not because she wanted it anymore, it was he..he wanted it. He wants her to be more enterprising. In her lost world she totally forgot it was her house & She was supposed to be running it.
When Maan noticed she was not taking any initiative he hired a maid for cooking & cleaning. Geet's college was just walking distance from home. She left early like she didn't want to see his face.. types. & came back around 5 straight into her room. She did hear him walking in. First it used to be 6..slowly it became.. 7..8.. now days she didn't even know when he came back, it was that late, probably mid night.
Weekends he dropped her to the mansion & went away to meet his frds. Few months of their own bandishein haunted them. In one of such visits rano gave her an invite from her frd piya. Geet gladly opened it to see, it was her college frds wedding invite. She shied & kept it asid not sure if she could make it.
Latter in the week she got a call from her piya
piya ' kanha hain madam? Shaadi ke baad tho u don't have any time for us
Geet smiled weekly
piya ' tu shaadi main aa rahi hain na
Geet was bit conscious, she didn't want to go without Maan. But he for sure won't come with her. He doesn't even let her wear the mangalsuter. Then ..

piya ' common yaar, this is too much. Ria bhi aa rahi hain
just then Geet heard Maan walking in. she immediately cut the call.. nahi yaar.. I will call u latter.
Geet thought of asking him, if he could come with her..but she just couldn't put her wits together .. she couldn't bare any of his refusals anymore. His rejection.. she didn't want to do anything that would let bother him.
It was friday morning Maan was getting ready for office when the maid asked if she could through this invite. Maan looked at it .. he knew reading the names that it was piya her best frd. He told the maid to keep it aside.
Later in the evening Geet was ready to be dropped to the Mansion. It was quiet late & he was not back from office. He never failed to pretend infront of his parents then wat happened she wondered. More strange was they didn't call either. Next day in the afternoon Geet was studying in her room when jhanvi & rano came in really excited with a big bag.
Geet was very glad to see him. Any way she didn't know wat to do in the flat on a weekend.
The maid got the some tea. Geet didn't even know they had a maid.
Maid was sweet enough not to poke her nose into anything, or should I say she was paid well enough.
Geet ' wo hum log .. she didn't know how to explain why they didn't visit them this weekend
jhanvi ' kal Maan ka phone aaya tha subha. He said u both r going to piya's wedding.
Aur tumhari saari jewelry aur saree tho ghar main thi na.
Rano opened geets plat & began to comb ' issen liyen humne socha ki.. we will get it for u & aisen tumse milna bhi hojayega.
Geet immediately hugged rano.. her tears didn't stop.. he actually is willing to go with her. Only her heart knows how she has been living in this room without being with him.. how much she missed him.. seeing him for breakfast...dinner.. let it be his gussa.. but she wanted to see him..but was so scared to see his rejection or see hatred in his eyes for her. She never dared to go infront of him. There was so much of happiness hidden in those tears.. how did he know abt the wedding. Well all that didn't matter anymore. He was taking her to piya's wedding. She never felt so delighted since their wedding.
Rano ' itna miss kar rahi thi humen
Geet didn't want to say anything.. she was really happy today
jhanvi ' yanhi ready hona hain kya, isken room main chalten hain na
Geet felt little scared, if Maan will be ok with that
rano ' idhar hi ready hojathen hain, Maan beta uddar ready hojayega
Geet shied in relief ' haan haan. Hum yanhi ready hojathen hain
There was a sweet glow in her face all the while. Rano & jhanvi dressed her up lovingly. She really looked special. Jhanvi kept a kala tika behind her ear.. kisi ki nazar na lagen
& whispered in her ears when rano went to the kitchen to get something to drink for Geet.
I am sure things r better between u both now.
Geet felt butterflies in her stomach.. may be.
Jhanvi ' tum rooz babji ke samne matha teek thi hona
Geet looked at her blankly
rano came in smiling ' haan jhanvi .. Maan ne abhi mujhe mandir dihkaya
jhanvi kissed geets forehead.
Geet felt really bad ..she didn't even know if they had a mandir, thats how responsible she is been. she is been so upset since they left home.. & him being so cold towards her. her whole world seemed doomed.
Her eyes searched for him when she came to the main hall. She so much wanted to see him.. she raised her lashes when she knew he was around. He looked breath taking in that shervani. Her cheeks turned pink seeing him.. she immediately looked down.. remembering how she will be taunted by her mom.
Hain.. Maan was so dead seeing his wife looking perfect like always. She looked just gorgeous. He was scared ..he shouldn't do anything silly drooling over her. He composed himself & drove her to the venue.
He took out the gift pack from back seat & gave it to her with the bouquet. Thats when she realized they were supposed to be attending a piya's wedding. & she has forgotten all abt it. She chuckled ..mentally knocking herself. She tried to catch the glimpse of him every now & then... as they walked into the wedding hall. He was all the while walking beside her until she saw ria.
Ria ' hain Geet, hain jiju
Geet hugged her
Maan smiled pleasantly
ria ' chal chal piya ko ready karten hain.. wo bahut dari huen hain
Geet looked at Maan. He nodded & took a seat among the guest.
Her heart so much protested .. it couldn't have enough of their moment together.
