She carefully placed the flower in the middle of a book as her most valuable possesion...She felt an urge to talk to him...It had been noly a few hours he was away from her and she was aready missing him. She picked up the phone and typed his no.
"Lekin main usse kya baat karungi??...woh poochega toh kyakahungi ki kyun phone kiya?"
She kept the phone aside and started wondering
"Aur main kyun itni excited ho rahi un isse baat karneke liye??...shaam ko toh ghar aa jayega na woh"
Again the images of the rose..the hug..and him fashed in her mind..
"Uffo..ek rose ji toh diya hai...main bhi na...itni bhi kya badi baat go gayi"...The war of thoughts were overpowering her mind..She herself didn't know why that act of Mayank had created such a big impact on her despite being such a simple one
"Badi baat nahi hai lekin..mujhe accha laga...actually bahut accha laga..he did that for me"
Her lips curved into a smile..She couldn't stop thinking about him...
"Mujhe use thanks toh bolna chahiye na...call kar hi leti hun"
Finally she found a reason to convince herself her mind to call him

As soon as he his phone ringing with Nupur's call he got surprised as well as glad...In the 4 months of their marriage she had called him for the first time..A smile naturally made its way to his lips and he picked up the phone
"Hello!!"
His husky voice made her lose her senses..as if she was talking to some celebrity and not her husband...She couldn't utter anything...This whole new phase of feeligns was making her go weak..Yes she was strong before..but Mayank was making her weak or he had turned into her weakness
"Hello nupur??"
Finally she spoke up abrupty...
"Hello Mayank..Kya kar rahe ho tum??"
"Office mein hun toh kaam hi kar raha honga na Nupur"...he smiled
She bit her lower lip as soon as she realised how foolishly she was behaving
"Haan Office mein toh kaam hi hota hai...main bhi kitni pagal hun"
"Nupur kuch kaam tha kya??...tumne aaj achanak se aise phone kyun kiya??"
She didn't have any answer to this straight forward question ofhim..What should she say that she was missing him like anything and therefore she called him...She made up the conversation
"Nahi kuch khaas nahi...tumne khana khaya??"
He was confused at her weird behaviour
"Haan kha liya"
"Kaisa laga??...matlab theek toh bana tha na??"
"Haan accha bana tha"
There was a silence on both sides...Nupur didn't know what to say further...she was nervous to talk to him...and the problem was he too was not initiating a conversation.
"Yeh poochne ke liye phone kiya tha??"...he leaned back on his chair and sighed
"Nahi...woh actually..ek baat bolni thi"
"Kya??"
"Woh...tumhe Thank You bona tha..subah rose ke liye..."
He smiled on the other side at her cute act
"Nupur tumhe nahi lagta ki ab humein is 'Thank You ..Thank You' ki cycle se bahar nikalna chahiye...I did that coz I felt like doing it...aur uska reason maine tumhe subah bataya tha...aur flower dena koi badi baat nahi hai...isliye take it lightly Nupur"
She felt a little disappointed at his reply...She had expected something else from him.because the thing which he was telling her to take lightly had already made a special place in her heart
"Nupur?...kya hua??"
"Hmm kuch nahi...main phone rakhti hun"
"Ok...byeee!!"
"Mayank suno!!"...she almost shouted leaving Mayank startled
"Haan bolo Nupur??"
"Woh shaam ko ho sake toh ghar jaldi aa jaana"
"Kyun??"
"Aise hi..."...
"Ok..I'll try"

"Byee"
She had no logic as to why she spoke the last line..She wanted him to be back home early...but had no reason for it
Her phone call had thrown Mayank into a trance...Suddenly he started loving the way his life was going on...without thinking about what the future could have in store for him...He was Loving THE MOMENT

She waited for him eagerly…prepared his favourite kheer for him..groomed herself to look nice..Gradually his opnion about her had started to matter her a lot
The door bell ring and it marked the arrival of Mayank Sharma..who had come home early by 2 hours just for her sweet plead on the phone
She ran fast and as soon as she opened it the sight of her evr-so-handsome husband flustered her heart
"Mayank main tumhara kab se wait kar rahi thi"
"Haan toh main jaldi aa toh gaya tumhare kehne par"
She looked at the clock and realized he had indeed come home early"
The day seemed like an eternity to her cozshe was for the first time missing her husband
"Accha….aaj waqt guzar hi nahi raha subah se"
"Nupur tum theek hi keh rahi thi…tum kal hiapni job continue karne ke liye application de do…warna ghar par baithe baithe pagal ho jaogi"…he laughed
"I was missing you Mayank!!"
He was cut short by her only to leave him short of words
She spoke it soo spontaneously that she herself didn't come to know about it for a few seconds…Their eyes locked with each other….
Mayank broke the eyelock and looked sideways…"Kyun aaj t.v pekuch nahi aa raha tha kya??"
"I said I was missing you….and I don't think there is nothing wrong in missing somebody..Right Mayank???"
"Right"
"Toh phir tum mujhse nazrein kyun chura rahe ho??...Meri taraf dekhkar baat karo na"
He looked towards her and once again her large black eyes making him go crazy..But there was a difference Her eyes had a new kind of shine in them today….The eyes which always had pain in them were reflecting happiness today…and he was loving it…but at the same scared too..scared what if she would read his eyes too and come to know what he had been hiding for soo long
But today she was too blinded by her own feeling to read Mayank's eyes…She was loving the feeling of getting lost in his deep brown hazel eyes…as if to never let them fall on anything else except herself
In order to prevent the effect that her eyes were making on him he spoke up…" "Tumhare paas har cheez ka reason hota hai na…..chalo ab batao khane mein kya banaya hai??"
"Abhi lagati hun khana…maine tumhare liye kheer banayi hai..tumhe pasand hai na??
"Wowww Kheer…Ofcourse mujhe pasand hai…main abhi fresh hoke aata hun"
"Ok…"

"Mayank batao na kaisi bani hai??...
"Hmmm…theek hai"
"Theek hai???.bas??"
"Toh aur kya bolun??"
"Nahi kuch nahi"…her face dropped down
He giggled at her sad face
"Waise main aur bhi adjectives use akr sakta hun..jaise ki Kheer baut tasty..midblowing bani hai…and I loved it"
Her face lit up and she smiled…"Sach??"
"Much!!.."….They both laughed in sync
"Mayank..woh tumhare face par…"
"Kya??"
She signaled him but he couldn't understand
She came close to him…and extended her hand towards his face and wiped off kheer from the side of his lips gently with her soft fingers
Yet again they were lost in each other….Their faces only a few inches apart….Their eyes again locked with each other…,He held her hand firmly and came more close to her…Her heartbeats getting more fast…She closed her eyes and her pulse rate set high….He came more close and whispered softly in her ear………."Aur kheer milegi??...I simple loved it"
She opened her eyes…..and looked towards him…..
She quickly moved away….."Abhi laati hun"
She ran into the kitchen with storm of emotions rising in her heart….His closeness was intoxicating…and she was already becoming an addict of him
