Chapter Three ---- Hot Chocolate

Turning off the laptop, Kushi got up from her perfectly comfortable seat on the corner of the bed. Putting her hair up neatly she went to collect the towel that was neatly put away on the hanger. A smile erupt on her face as she remembered the conversation she had few minutes ago with the two most craziest people but the most closet to her heart after her parents in this world. Her smile vanished instantly as her jaw dropped open, her arm was in midway to reach the towel while eyes darting at the calender on the wall. 'Hai devi maiyaan... mein kya karoo? This concert thingimy is in few more weeks and I havent even found a partner yet.. Aaah!' she mutter to herself as she sigh with irritation. Collecting her required stuff for a nice relaxing shower which she needed at the moment she clutched on to her belongings while walking towards the door. 'Love you boo boo' she shout across the room as she continue to walk, she brought herself to a sudden halt, she pulled a cute face like a innocent child she passed a flying kiss to the stuffed large teddy bear sitting on the corner of the bed. Her eyes shift from boo boo to another small teddy in comparison 'Awww...' Kushi replied wrinkling her nose 'Love you too Shonu... dont be jealouse' she smile before walking away.

'Mere khwaabon mein jo aaye... aake mujhe chhed jaaye' Kushi came dancing to her own not-so-good song climbing down the stairs but at the same time doing her own dance movements. 'Arey mere madhubala...!' she unexpectedly scream as she got excited seen a middle aged lady. She was in about her late 40s and was dress casual outfit., she was busy concentrating in what she was cooking for her daughter and husband. Madhumathi Gupta also known as Madhu, she is a very happy go lucky mother anyone would wish for, very strict but fun to be around with, the best mother, the best friend a daughter can ask for. She know everything about her daughter from every little secret to the biggest thing. Will do anything if it means good for her family, will do anything to fulfill her daughters wishes, she was a friend more than a mother to Kushi. Madhu's life start and ends with the family members in her little family. No matter how much of a good friends there are many times when Madhu and Kushi are in the boxing ring disagree to things they tell and at these times its non other than Shashi, Kushi's dad and Madhu's husband become the score keeper. Shashi Gupta, very silent person himself totally opposite to his non stop chattering wife. An intelligent father of early 50s and a caring person.

'Good morning papa!' scream Kushi across the kitchen to get to her father's attention while waving her hand wildly. Madhu who saw this shook her head disappointingly but it didnt went unnoticed by kushi who throw a confused look at her mother. 'It's your dad's laad pyaar make you naughty like this' said Madhu with a strict tone hidden in her voice. 'Amma... what are you saying? This is where you gone wrong my dear friend... He always take your side, I cant slip away easily if I get caught he will be the first one to shout at me... So what are you SAYING? aur waise bhi Amma you know na... neither papa or me believe in the strict behaviour... where the parents are so strict and the children have to be in their best behavior... Thats just too boring!' said Kushi as she sat on the sofa 'and if that happens children stop sharing things with their parents because they are just too scared to share.. it's always good to have a relationship like we have... see I am not scared to tell anything and why should I when...' Kushi's serious face instantly turn to an irritation when she got interupted by her mother 'Okay okay my grand mother! Please stop your bhashan' said Madhu folding her hands together. Angry Kushi looked at Madhu once and folding her arms across her chest she sigh making a sad angry face. 'Kushi...' said Shashi in a gentle voice, looking at him with a puppy face Kushi replied 'yes papa..?' she spoke in a little voice. 'I thought your off to meet Payal and Muskaan today' said Shashi knowing exactly how excited Kushi going to be. With no doubt Kushi's face errupt with a wide smile, thats how Kushi is and every body knows that if one minute she get upset the next minute she can forget it and smile for you. When she smile from her heart no one can miss the sparkle in her eyes, her eyes are the most expressive thing on her face on her very expressive face which can be read easily. 'YES PAPA! at 2 o'clock we gona meet in Saturn park and I will be back in few hours'explained Kushi about her day routine. 'Your not going any where and specially not with them two... even in the news yesterday they showed a girl being kidnapped' said Madhu with a strict tone and a worry 'Oh Amma that is like 780 mile away and it's safe here you know.. anyway I am just going to the Saturn Park... please please please... and anyway Payal di is with us na!' said Kushi trying her luck knowing very well whats comming next. 'Thats the biggest worry when she is with you lot she herself become a kid and you 3 together is bigger than a earth quack just cant trust you 3 to take responsibility... well not you anyway sankadevi' said Madhu ending the conversation but Kushi being herself, who dont stop without trying spoke 'par Amma you said we can... and I'll phone you every 1 hour, okay maybe not every hour maybe like when I go there and when I am coming back...' Kushi watch both Madhu's and Shashi's faces with lots of expectations, Shashi nod in agreement. Kushi with a huge smile did a little dance before running upstairs to get ready. After she left Madhu look over to her husband shaking her head disagreeing to his decision.

'One hot chocolate with skimmed milk and whipped cream topping with a little sprinkle of chocolate dusting on top, to take away please, thank you!' Kushi gave her order to the lady behind the counter. On the way to the Saturn park Kushi stopped at the Costa coffee shop to buy her fevourite drink, eventhough the 3 friends will be meeting at a coffee shop Kushi couldnt resist a taste of the hot chocalate in this awesome weather. 'Here you go mam..' said the lady behind the counter handing Kushi the hot chocalate to take away. 'Thank you!' said Kushi holding on to the paper cup proudly, wrapping her hands around the warm cup she step outside the shop. The sky was clear blue while the warmth of the end of the spring entangled it self with the soft cold wind. Kushi pulled her jacket bit more closer to her to stop the cool air getting in while taking a sip from the drink. The weather was just perfect and pleasant for the nice day she have planned to face 'Weather people! They said its going to rain today but phew rain... naaah i dont think so...' said Kushi hopping her way happy about everything in her life at the moment. She had the best parents, great friends, and she was in love. She cant wish for anything else in her life at the moment she didnt had anything else to wish for, she was on the top of the world and she didnt want anything else to make her happy, thought Kushi smiling to herself while walking on the pavement. Bang!

Kushi was walking on the pavement minding her own buisness enjoying the surrounding beautiful enviroment, as she sipped on to her hot chocalate lost in her own world when out of no where she saw a tall man, with a dark blue jacket on rushing towards her way. The next thing she felt was her one side of the body colliding with his strong body as he hit pass through her. Kushi was unbalance as she tried to take care of the hot 'hot chocolate' cup in her hand and to try preventing herself from falling. But to her unfortunate when she tried to steady herself on the ground her hot drink spill everywhere on her jacket. All this events occurred within seconds Kushi who was flaming with anger look up with burning anger and literally getting burnt. She looked up to find the man who decided to walk like a tornado to give him a piece of her mind. She looked up but there was no one she turned around finding the man rushing away in his dark blue winter jacket. He was tall, with hands in his pockets rushing away, almost running. He was somehow familiar to her but she cant recall why, something reminds her seen his retreating back but she cant remember. Her trail of thoughts were disturbed as she felt a tingle of hot chocolate transpiring into her skin through the two layers of top she was wearing. She instantly ran to the bench nearby dumping her stuff there and throwing the empty cup into the bin she took her jacket off. She start wiping away the stain on her jacket as well as a bit on the jumper she was wearing underneath. 'My fevourite jacket! That idiot, donkey, monkey, mad horse!' she shout staring at her jacket thinking of everything she can think of that are insulting to her limit. She cried, stomp her foot on the ground, weep, shook her jacket but nothing seems to make the stain go away plus it was cold and Kushi wasnt strong enough to only survive with the jumper.

She heard the familiar ring tone of her phone. She immediatley look for it in the jacket pockets and answer the caller. 'Oh Payal.. its you... no yaar I am coming.. but wait I had a little incident... noo no i didnt get into a fight... what? wait I dont get into fights I am not Muskaan remember!.. oh yeh as i was saying this stupid, nalayak, donkey, monkey man, thinking of himself as superman and thinking this is sky and he is flying came and bump into me... YEH! He ruined my jacket... how? did you just asked how? he spilled HOT CHOCOLATE on me! blind idiot kahin ka... cant even look where he is going he thinks this is the motor way and he is going for 70 miles per an hour... if I get to meet him na I am seriously gona kill him... I am telling you today.. No he didnt even stop to say a sorry.. oh shut up! stop taking his side you mad woman.. because of him my 30 pounds worth jacket got ruined... I am gona kill him, seriously he is going to need some life insurance now... if he just come in front me na just.. no he is dead... ok you know what i'll explain when I come your not getting it.. bye!' said Kushi, if anyone can see things that usually normal people cant see they would have seen the steam comming out of Kushi's ears as she collect her stuff while still muttering few curses to the stranger and she walked away.

'I need the heaaat!' shout Kushi as she ran into the coffee shop taking a seat in the middle of two girls. Kushi was shivering continuesly while her face has gone pale, the jacket was wrapped around her arms while she continue to shiver. 'Why wasnt the hot chocolate heat plus the angry heat wasnt enough?' asked one of the girl while both of them laugh away to the state the Kushi was in. 'Shut up Payal!' said Kushi giving a look to the girl on her left who just tease her.

Payal was a dusky skin tone beauty who was a carbon copy of Kushi, her feautres had lots of similarities to Kushi's. Big brown eyes, with small round face, minimal make up applied and was looking beautiful as always with her dark black straightened hair tied back. She giggled seen the state Kushi was in. 'Aunty is abosulutley correct.. Sanka devi, perfect name!' said a curly hair girl. 'Oh yeh well I also call you a blondy girl so that should be correct too Muskaan!' said Kushi as she blast on Muskaan. But no matter how much Kushi blast on them they dont seem to mind at all. Muskaan was a tall dusky skin tone pretty girl. She looked older to her age, the 16 year old Muskaan was very pretty indeed. With a perfect oval shape face and with dark black eyes, short length wavy and curly hair. To top her look she was wearing a cap side way just like a typical tomboy.

'Guy stop laughing! So what? Why did we made a plan to meet today?' asked Kushi enough of these irritation. 'Why is it a crime? like you have many things to do during your holiday... Anyway including lots of other things we have to talk about and do I specially want to meet today cause I found a solution to your problem...' said Payal with a huge smile proudly sitting across her face. 'Really you did! you found a way how I can track down the guy who ruined my jacket?!' asked Kushi excited. 'Was he hot?' asked Muskaan with a cheeky smile to get a flat face from Kushi in reply. 'NO! And you know what you can tell me your so called incident to us in a bit but the solution I found is for your concert... partner problem!' said Payal getting a bit irritated by the stupidity of her sister. 'Oh!' said Kushi with a sigh. 'Its one of my friend, he is great with his moves too... he can totally help you out, I told him to come today so you guys can meet and talk about it you know and see whether it can be alright and he did come too...' said Payal before Muskaan butt in 'but you missed your golden chance cause he had to rush away...' said Muskaan making a not-really-but-sad face 'Oh!' was the only replied Kushi can give. She have heard about this friend before over the phone too by Payal but she didnt know what else to say or do as she have never met him and she was not ready to dance with a stranger at all. Couple of times Kushi disagreed with Payal asking her not to ask this friend of her's cause Kushi have just planned to say No anyway but looks like Payal was not giving up.

Kushi's thoughts were interrupted as Muskaan spoke in her vivaciouse voice '... Payal that was very weird na.. why did he had to rush away.. he got that phone call and he was out.. almost forgot his precious dark blue jacket' said Muskaan laughing off '...and he walked off like a tornado?' Kushi complete the sentence for Muskaan more like asking a question to make sure of something. 'Exactly!' said Muskaan. Kushi got quick flashbacks of her encounter with the stranger and his dark blue jacket. 'What did you say his name was?' aked Kushi with a corner smile on her face as everything start becoming clear to her. 'I didnt tell you his name yet..' said Payal before continueing '... we call him ASR its like his pet name his actual name is...' 'I would like to meet this ASR of yours' said Kushi before Payal can finish, Payal nod in agreement even though she sensed something evil on Kushi's expressions.

'Cant wait to meet you, A..S..R..' said Kushi as one of her hands turn in to a fist while smacking it on to the other palm.
