'I've never made a pass at a woman!'
'I'd pull up my pants and run away if Archana caught me with my pants down!'

On your sex appeal
I find it so idiotic to blow my own trumpet (laughs). If I have an unbiased opinion, then I'd say it's my gentlemanly way of doing things. Thanks to my upbringing by my mother,
I am attractive to the opposite sex. Most Indians have a fair skin hang up so my fair complexion makes me score with the girls. I'd also say my honesty and integrity in my approach towards work and my achievements add to my sex appeal.

How girls react to you
Exactly as girls should (laughs). At times it's positive and sometimes it's negative. It depends on my character in my serial or films. They hated me during 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' but thought I was very cute during 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin'.

Your first date
Honestly I can't remember which was my first one (laughs). But this one is very memorable. I was about sixteen and had only forty bucks with me. I took her to a coffee shop in a 5-star hotel and realized that I was short of money. So I pretended that I didn't want to eat but asked her to go ahead and order for herself. I think she caught on because she told me that she too didn't want to eat. So we just had coffee and went to Marine Drive for an ice cream. I still cringe at the memory of that day.

Your first crush
She was a girl in my class in the 2nd standard. I was completely besotted by her. She was very cute, shy, intelligent, and very sweet. I followed her around. Did she reciprocate my feelings? I was a very naughty kid and a big bully. No girl in her right mind would come close to me (laughs). I haven't seen her after that but I'm sure she must be very beautiful.

Your most cherished compliment
When my sons saw me in 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin', they told me, 'you're too good. You're a hit.' They said that I made them laugh. All the kids in their school too thought the same. That felt good. I guess my sons are so used to watching me play the villain in films and get beaten up. So this character must have really appealed to them.

Your wildest compliment
After 'DDLJ', a girl came up to me and said, 'You were such an assehole in the film, that's why you were so good!' (Laughs).

Love & romance...
Love is caring, sharing, accommodating and not trying to change one another. I think love increases with time if you're in a happy marriage. I used to be a very romantic person once upon a time but now it's only restricted to the screen. No time for it now (laughs). For me romance is making a moment special by expressing your feelings in a unique way. Every time I met Archana I would give her three roses. I couldn't afford more than that. It was like telling her, 'I love you'.
We still remember that.

Lust...
Lust is an instinct that every man and woman is born with. However, one needs to control that. It's distortion of a human being's nature. I'd say I lust for Angelina Jolie and Madhubala. Had Madhubala been alive I think I'd be just sitting at her doorstep. It's not about these women's bodies but what they have in their eyes. I find an intriguing smile and a twinkle in a woman's eyes very sexy and sensual.

On a nudist beach
I just hope I don't have to do much (laughs).

What if a girl made a pass at you?
I'd say thank you but no thanks. I'd definitely take it as a compliment and be polite as possible to her but eventually turn her down. After all, I'm a father and husband now. But I've never made a pass at a woman. I'd feel too shy and inhibited to do that.

Would you ask a girl out if you liked her but didn't know her well?
I don't think so.

What if you fell short of money on a date?
I'd check if I could come back later and pay or try and get a friend who lives close by to help me out. If nothing works out then I would be honest and upfront with the girl and ask her to chip in.

Your dream date
It would be somewhere in Scandinavia in some kind of Spa with the two of us cooped in the Sauna room. Now don't ask me who's the girl (laughs).

Would you dress to impress a girl?
I think so. I guess everybody does at some time. I'd dress up in a classy not flashy way.

Flirtations...
I don't know if it's called flirting but I do flirt sometimes at a party. I enjoy it otherwise what's the fun! (Laughs).

Marriage...
It means a lot of things; becoming responsible, having beautiful kids, growing old together, coming home to someone, crying on each others shoulders, and not having to explain your actions to each other. I've always believed in the institution of marriage.

What if Archana caught you with your pants down?
I'd pull up my pants and run away (laughs).

Your wildest bedroom fantasy
I cannot tell you the real one so I'll have to make up. It would be not one, not two but three women tending to me and ……

Are women a necessary evil?
Yes! They are very important but they make men do a lot of stupid things. They make men cheat, they break up friendships and families. So I agree with the evil bit wholeheartedly (laughs).
