CHAPTER 4
Abhay left the pub to find piya. He was cursing himself for saying those words to her. If anything happens to piya, he wont be able to face anyone…face himself. "whatever piya did was wrong but atleast I shouldn't have told her to die. ", thought abhay. Abhay started his car and drove as fas as he could. He didn't even knew where piya would be but was just driving on his instinct.

Piya was drunk and walking on a lonely road. She was smiling, laughing and jumping here and there. "piya, why are so stuu…pid, and abh..ay is…is..is monkey. No no….you..you…are mon..nkey piyyaa", said piya laughing to herself. Piya suddenly started crying and said to herself," abh..hay told me to dieee. But how should I die?? Mr.moon (looking at the sky smiling suddenly) shou..ld I die…? No…ooo I wi..lll not die..you know why because abh..hay is a don..key..yes a donkey…yay (clapping like child) inky pinky ponkey…abhay is a donkey. He is a donkey! Moon….marna cancel!!"

Abhay was driving and talking to herself," piya, I am sorry. I can never forget what you did to me. But I promise that atleast I would think twice before telling you anything. You are so unpredictable. Who knows if you really decide to….no abhay stop it. I know her. She can do anything but not commit suicide! Piya..where are you?"

Piya didn't knew where she was. She was just walking. Suddenly two men came on bike near piya. They saw her and started whistling. One man asked her,"hey beautiful, where are you going? Come, let us drop you! Its not safe for a young beauty like you to walk around alone at night!". Piya stopped and told him," I am piya! Not beautiful! No no..i am beautiful". Piya started laughing.
Other man got off the bike and went near piya. Piya's subconscious was shouting and telling her to run away but she was too drunk to understand and do anything that moment. The man asked," are you alone? Let us drop you home !" piya started walking away. she didn't reply anything. She realized that something wrong is going to happen. But the man held piya's arm and pulled her towards herself and said," come, lets go. Its not safe"
Piya started struggling to free herself and said," leave me, leave me" but piya was too drunk and not in state of doing anything much. The man held her tightly and was not letting her go. Suddenly piya stopped and looked at the man and smiled and in no time kicked him where it hurts the most. He let go off piya and screamed in pain. The other man was about to hit piya when they saw a car coming towards themselves. Both left piya alone and went away on their bike.
The car stopped and it was abhay. He immediately went near piya and asked," are you ok? And who were they? Where were you? What were you thinking of doing? Are you out of your mind?" piya smiled and said," abh..ay…you came?". Piya pulled his cheeks and continued," come lets go ho…me…noo..o..wa..it….i don't want to go home…i..ha..te you. " piya poted like a child and folded her arms across her chest. Abhay rolled his eyes and muttered," not again" and asked," why? Why you don't want to go home?" "because..beca..use….i ha..te…you…no no wai..t….i love you….can I drive? No..no I will drive! Yuppie…I wi..lll dri..ve!", said piya. Abhay shaking his head," piya! Just shut up and sit in the car. I am driving!" piya started yelling and said," no..no..i will drive..i ha..te..you…u..are..me..eean..and.." before piya could continue, abhay scopped piya in his arms. "abhay..put..meee down", yelled piya. "just shut up!", said abhay and made her sit in the car and put the seat belt. He himself sat on drivers seat and drove away.

Abhay laid piya on bed. He put the blanket and was about to leave when piya caught his hand and said with tears in her eyes," abhay, don't leave me. I love you. I am sorry if I hurt you, abhay I will die without you. Abhay.." before piya could continue she passed out. Abhay wiped her tears and left.

Next morning piya got up with a head ache. He head was throbbing badly. Misha barged in the room in fury and yelled," you fool! What were you doing? I sneaked out of the pub to commit suicide? Are you out of your mind? Didn't you think of us? Our parents?" piya was still holding her forehead and said," stop yelling. My head hurts and I wasn't doing anything ok. God! It hurts! I don't remember what happened last night!" misha rolled her eyes and said," here, take this. It will help you"
Misha was about to leave when piya suddenly said," who got me here?" misha said," abhay" piya thought for a moment and said," I have decided something." " now what?",asked misha. "misha, from now I am not going to run after abhay. I will not try to put any sense in him. Because I wont be able to take it anymore if he will say something to me. Once he knows the truth, he himself will come to me and yes that time I will not forgive him easily. He will have a taste of his own medicine.", said piya

Few days passed by and neither abhay nor piya tried to talk to each other. They just avoided each other. Abhay was little confused as why piya was not trying to talk to him but he left the thought.

Sid was in office taking interviews for the job of manager. He called the next interviewee. "may I come in?", he asked. Sid nodded and told him to take a seat. Said started asking questions. Finally sid said," one last question. you were in US. You had a quiet a good job so how come you are in india? Why did you leave last job?" the man said," sir I was in US but due to some personal reasons I had to shift here but now I have decided to settle here." Sid nodded and said," well, danish you get this job!" "thank you sir", Danish said. He was about to leave when he bumped into abhay. The papers fell on the floor that abhay had. Danish helped abhay to collect those papers and said," I am sorry sir. Very sorry" abhay said," no problem"
Danish left the cabin but he dropped his wallet. Abhay took his wallet and was about to call him when he saw a photo. It was alina's photo in bridal dress with Danish. Abhay was shocked. he removed the photo and saw the date. The date was of 2 years back. he kept the wallet with himself and decided to ask Danish about it. Sid cleared his throat and asked," whats wrong?" "nothing",replied abhay.

Next day abhay called Danish to his cabin and gave him his wallet. Danish said," thank you so much sir. I was really sad because I lost it. Not because it has money but because it has something very precious." Abhay asked,"whats that?" Danish smiled and said," I have photo in it. Look sir. Its me and my wife alina."
Abhay's world was shattering into pieces. He controlled himself and asked," how long have you been married?" Danish said," two!" abhay couldn't believe that alina was doing two timing. He asked," so where is she?" danisha got little sad and said," sir she is missing. We were in US and happy. But then I suffered a loss in business. I lost everything and so took up a job. But one day when I returned from work, alina was missing. Since that day I am searching her. I came to know that she is in india, so I came here but still no avail. Anyways, I said too much. I should leave. And thank you sir.' Abhay just nodded.
Abhay couldn't believe that alina was really behind his money. She was married. She betrayed him. And piya! Piya was right. She never did anything wrong. He kept remembering the way he ill treated piya. He was broken. He had tears in his eyes. He had to apologise to piya. He had to do it now!

Piya was sitting in her room and flipping pages of magazine. Abhay came to the room with a bouquet of her favourite purple orchids and stood near her. Piya was surprised to see abhay like this. She just kept staring at him and finally asked," what?" " I am sorry", said abhay. Piya kept the magazine and stood up. She again asked," what? I didn't hear you". Abhay sighed and said," I know the truth. You were never wrong. It was alina. I am sorry piya, I am very sorry. Please forgive me." Abhay gace the flowers to piya. She took and kept it on side table.
Piya kept looking at him. She saw abhay has been crying since long as his eyes were red. Piya said," sorry? You telling me sorry? I cant believe this. How on earth did you think that by just saying sorry and getting me flowers, I will forgive you? You have hurt me a lot abhay and I need time. I cant forget what you told me. U treated me like garbage abhay!" abhay was feeling more guilty than ever. He said," piya I know I have been a jerk. But I am feeling guilty and.." abhay paused and then continued," I want to give our relation a shot." Piya asked," how can I trust that you really mean it. May be someone will come and say that I have been having an affair with another man and may be you will believe him. Abhay you didn't trust me, your brother and I am sorry I cant trust you. You want my apology, then earn it." Abhay asked," What do you mean?" piya said," abhay I need time. I want you to make me believe that I can trust you and that you really mean it. The day I will feel that you really feeling sorry. I will forgive you." Piya left saying this.

Abhay was sitting in garden alone thinking about how he ill treated piya. He thought," will piya ever forgive me?" suddenly avik came running towards abhay with a drawing book yelling,"chachu look, this is me and this is piya."
Avik had drawn himself and piya in the picture catching each others hand. Abhay smiled and asked," why do you call her piya? She is your chachi!" avik said," no chachu, she is my galflend. u betlayed me and mallied hel." "avik call her chachi!", said abhay.

Avik said,"chachu, I will not talk to you. You ale mean" and pouted. Abhay sighed and said," why no one wants to talk to me. Am I that bad?" avik looked at abhay and sat his lap. He gave a kiss on his cheek and asked," did you fight with piya?" abhay asked surprised," how do you know?" avik rolled his eyes and said," chachu, u wele my best flend before u became my chachu!" abhay asked," so now? What should I do?" avik giggled and said,"kiss and make up chachu. Sho simple!" and ran away. "avik!", yelled abhay and ran behind him both laughing and giggling.
