Faissal Khan's Shocking Revelations
Hello my lovely people!! Ok so I know you are going to kill me for not updating in like in three weeks. I swear I wanted to but I had 5 finals to write within nine days and it wasn't pretty. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments. It has been an immense inspiration through out.
Anyways I have written quite long update to compensate for the previous short update (people were complaining about it...sorry guys'won't happen again) and also not updating for a long time. Lots of Arhi moments are here and I have tried to keep it light while with a constant undercurrent of passion.
Hope you all will like it!!!
Arnav blinked several times and looked at Kushi. He had never beheld a woman who could dazzle in her own womanly charms with the least amount of effort. She looked as attractive and bewitching in her plain pink kurtha pyjamas as she was on that fateful Diwali night. The well fitted pink garment draping about her slender yet curvaceous form, her full bosom heaving in rhythm to her heart beat, her thick long hair falling down one side of her torso partially hiding her bosom from his eager eyes; all these brought out her delicate feminine charms to light. The soft breeze playing against stray strands of her smooth hair, framed her fairylike face in an unbearable sweetness. Her skin glowed like moonlight in the darkness and an almost eerie glow was emitting from her.
She was ethereal.
He wanted to touch her and see if she would dissolve into nothingness as if in a dream. He wanted to make sure she wasn't a vision or he wasn't hallucinating.
He walked as if in a daze towards her, past a surprised Akash, ignoring a bewildered Payal and straight to an even more alarmed looking Kushi. He felt as if he was being drawn towards her; as if a moth is drawn to flame. He couldn't help it. His feet carried him to her on their own accord as if they have a mind of their own. Everything else was forgotten as the time came to a standstill and he walked in a trance towards the vision in front of him.
"Bhai!" called Akash suddenly and the spell was broken. "Bhai what are you doing?" asked Akash in a puzzled voice.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kushi watched bemused as she saw him walk towards her, the intense smouldering gaze he had on his face that scared her, puzzled her and brought something close to arousal in her at the same time. She had seen that look about him before. Her mind wandered back to the Diwali night; a night that changed her life; a night that dared her to dream and broke her dreams at the same time. She had seen this look on his face that day when he approached her as if a slow predator readying himself for the ambush.
She took an uncertain step backwards. What is he going to do now? Please not again. Haven't both of them pretended that night never happened and moved on with their lives? She didn't want anything remotely resembling that incident happening again. It took immense effort from her part to rebuild her lost equilibrium and cheerful persona back and he was not going to destroy it'not again. She won't let him. Not even a look from him is needed to remind her of that night.
Thankfully Akash's voice jolted him back to earth. She could see his eyes boring into hers as reality hit him hard, his intense eyes giving her one last look before retorting, still with his eyes on her,
"kuch nahi Akash, I was going to ask Kushi to come with me inside so that the two of you can have some time alone. I'm not going to spend the whole night here, so get a move on with whatever you want to do" said Arnav, his usual steely drone voice piercing the night's silence.
"What!" cried Payal. "Talk to you alone? But Akash ji!..." she protested feebly. "I, I don't want to'" her voice trailed away, blushed a delicate crimson and spluttering into silence.
"Come Kushi" said Arnav's his eyes gleaming dangerously and before she could protest, gripped her hand from the wrist and tugged her none too gently into the house.
"Let go of me. Who do you think you are?" she cried tugging at her wrist thanking her stars that no one was home apart from babuji and he was sleeping soundly. Struggling to release herself from his grip, she knocked a small plastic vase sitting precariously on the table. It clattered to the floor and Kushi jumped as if scalded. "Hai Devi maiya, please don't let babuji wake up. He needs rest and this laad governor as usual is doing his best to harass me and wake my poor, sick babuji. Please devi maiyya rakshaa karna. Please please let nothing happen'.. " she didn't know what she wished not to happen. All she knew was, Arnav was wearing an expression that suggested he's about to do a lot of things. One part of her wanted him to continue what is in his mind and one part of her was frightened as to what the consequences would be like. She herself knew her struggling to get away from his attentions was a fake pretence to cover up her own emotions and the conservative values instilled in her to not display what is in her heart. She knew she wanted him; but nothing, absolutely nothing would make her say it out loud. To be honest she herself didn't know what she wanted from him. Only thing she knew was she wanted him. But in what way, her innocent mind still did not comprehend.
Arnav gripped her hand even tighter and pulled her towards him. "what are you doing?" screeched kushi in a strangled whisper as she looked outside anxiously to see if Akash or Payal is witnessing this.
"Are you done with your inner chatter?" asked arnav huskily his nose millimetres away from hers as he bent down to look into her eyes. She felt his breath on her lips and felt herself liquidizing; her knees wobbling treacherously beneath her. His intense eyes had turned a delicate shade of brown and she was drawn to those honey colored orbs as if enchanted. She was breathing him in, inhaling in his exhaling breaths; his musky fragrance getting hold of all her senses and paralysing her from further movement. Her thoughts are becoming more mushy and incomprehensible with each passing second; her breathing ragged and hoarse.
The glint he wore a few minutes back had returned to his eyes and he looked every bit as devilishly handsome as he was that night out beside the poolside, she thought involuntarily.
"no Kushi, don't think about that. Don't think about that night." She thought fiercely. That thought is reserved only for when she's asleep and dreamt about what could have happened if the fateful phone didn't buzz.
He gave an amused smirk as if he knew exactly what was running in side her head and before she could even begin to resist, ran a hand around her petite waist and pulled her towards him; pulled her so hard that she crashed into his hard chiselled chest.
If she had liquidized a few seconds ago, now was the time for her to boil over and vaporize as she cocked her head back to look at Arnav's eyes, her face burning and tingling while still being glued to his chest as if it's the most natural pose in the world.
Before she could protest, she heard footsteps outside the porch and Kushi pushed with all her might on his chest and sprang away from him.
"Kushi kya hua? I heard something fall" said a worried payal as she rushed into the house and observed a flushed Kushi and Arnav.
"Arrree nothing jiji. You worry too much" said kushi, her color and sparkle returning. "What are you doing here huh? I'm suffering the company of Laad governor so that you two can have some time for yourself and you are back within two minutes? Shame on you for disregarding my sacrifice" said Kushi shaking a mock disapproving finger at her sister, not bothering to keep the nick name under wraps any longer. He knew she called him by that anyway. So what's the point in hiding?
"Laad governor?" growled Arnav. "What did you just say'" before he could continue they heard a chuckle from the doorway as Akash entered behind Payal. "Kushi ji, that's amusing. How come I never heard about this new name for our chote?"
"Shut up Akash. This was a pointless trip. If you don't have anything to say, can we get a move on? " said Arnav.
Kushi bit back a smile. She knew he rarely came up with a witty remark for her digs at him. For someone who can sprout out all the snide, insolent remarks in the world, it's adorable that he can't answer her back when she was teasing him. She smiled involuntarily and then stopped herself, "wait a second Kushi kumari Guptha. Did you just think that laad governor, THE LAAD GOVERNOR is adorable????" she thought scandalised at herself.
Giving herself a shake, she turned her jiji who looked strangely disappointed for some reason. "sigh'.she's such a chicken. She wants to have Akash ji around but can't bring herself to say it. Not to worry jiji, Kushi Kumari Guptha is always there to save the day" though Kushi slyly as she eyed her sister's flustered figure.
She gave Akash a knowing smile and said impishly "I have a fresh stack of Jalebis and Pakhoras made this evening. Who wants to have a late night snack?"
"We don't have time for snacks" said Arnav glowering in Kushi's direction. Is he more offended because she's offering jalabis for his diabetic self or because she pushed him away from their compromising postion? Wondered Kushi mentally rolling her eyes. He and jiji should be best friends.
"Rudeness personified" Kushi made a face as she observed him, a fantastic scowl replacing his previous come-hither and I-like-to-do-things-to-you look.
Kushi began to rack her mind for an excuse to keep Akash around her sister the plan pacified the overly sensitive nerves of his brother.
"As we seem to have nothing useful to say to each other lets get going" said Arnav in his best ASR voice as he began to strode towards the door.
"Wait!" cried Kushi as she slid through the floor and screeched to a stop in front of Arnav; clutching at his arm to regain her balance. She quickly drew her hand and looked around desperately to gain inspiration for another excuse to keep him there.
"We'.ummm'oh I know! We should go star gazing everyone! It's a clear night and there's so much stars twinkling outside! Arnav ji you like looking at the stars right!? Remember the time'" rattled Kushi wildly hoping to distract him from leaving.
"Kushi Kumari Guptha" Thundered Arnav as he cut her mid sentence and took a threatening step towards her knowing perfectly well what time she was talking about. He was NOT in the mood to discuss his previous conversations with stars in front of Akash and Payal. "How'."
"We should watch a movie!" Suddenly Akash cut across excitedly."
"Movie? But Akash ji, I don't think the film halls are opened this late. And I don't think Amma and buaji would approve it if we go." said Kushi.
"No no.. I have my laptop with me in the car and I have ever so many movies downloaded. We can watch one from my laptop" explained Akash.
It's sad that I never get around to watch them much. Courtesy of my bhai and his hardworking project team!" Said Akash his eyes gleaming.
'What'?' said an astounded Arnav while Payal looked shocked at the idea.
"Akash ji, we can't possibly watch a movie'" began Payal
"Are you even listening to yourself Akash? What the HELL is wrong with you??" exploded Arnav! "Watch a movie?? Have you lost it? And since when did you take it in your fancy to have this nonsense downloaded into your laptop. No wonder our Wifi bill is sky rocketing. What is'."
Kushi on the other hand could never resist an opportunity to watch a movie, did a little tap dance, cut across Arnav's rambling and Payal's protests and squealed delightedly, "wah akash ji!! What an idea!! I have been wanting to watch a movie for ages!!! Lets watch one right now" She exclaimed bouncing up and down in excitement.
Ok we need to decide what we want to watch. I have a lot of good movies in my computer. You just have to choose one and we will be good to go. I mean ready to watch.
"Just like that?" Said Kushi surprised. "No buying tickets. No fighting for the best seats with other people'" Kushi grinned winking at Arnav. He returned it with his trademark 'exasperated face'.
"Ok Akash ji you go get your laptop from the car while I'll go fish something to eat when we watch the movie!! I knew those jalebis and pakoras wouldn't go to waste..." said Kushi happily as she started towards the Kitchen.
"Hold on a second. Are all of you out of your mind? I am NOT going to be part of this tomfoolery" said Arnav looking murderous as he surveyed an excited Akash, grinning Kushi and a constipated looking Payal.
Kushi sighed. "Ok fine. Let's get to the point. Akash ji and Jiji are engaged and they have the right to spend sometime with each other. So either you play along with this and sit though the movie or we'll have to resort to force" said Kushi in a mock threatening voice.
"What are you going to do to me miss Kushi Kumari Guptha?" said Arnav in a soft voice, his face twisted into an evil smirk as he walked towards her intimidating.
"ohh I..I was just kidding. Anyways common, don't be such a party pooper. You have to loosen up a bit and do something different'like'.ummm geee lets see'.have fun? I really feel sorry for your future wife. Her life's going to be a cruel question mark of your big business talk and bank balances, and project proposals and..and sockt I mean stock market. No wonder Lavanya ji left you" said Kushi stopping to catch her breath and bit her tongue as she realised what she said. She shouldn't have slipped that last remark.
"You think I don't know how to have fun and my future wife is going to hate me?" said Arnav in a strangely offended voice. "I'll show you Miss Kushi Kumari Guptha'"
"Ok bhai that's settled then. We are going to watch a movie. I'll go get my laptop" said Akash grabing the opportunity as consent from him and before anyone could say anything hurried outside with a bit of grin on his face.
Arnav turned to kushi and glared pointedly at her while she smiled sweetly back at him.
Akash returned back within minutes and turned his laptop on. Looking around for a plug point to fix his charger he spoted Arnav brooding near the door. "Common bhai chill" said Akash with a smile.
Ok Kushi ji. What do you want to watch? I have all the hit movies from bollywood for the past 10 or so years. Who's your favorit actor payal ji?" asked Akash.
"I.. I don't'.Kushi likes salman Khan" said payal blushing.
"haan haan ji ji. I like salman khan. But that's not what my future jija ji asked. She LOVES Sharukh Khan" she added sideways to Akash.
"How about an all time classic like Kuch Kuch hotha hai'or kabi Kushi Kabi gham?" Oh I have Veer Zara, Dil tho pagal hai, Dil se, Pardes, oh Devdaas'."
"Your bhai is looking more and more like devdaas with his stubble nowadays. Look at him in his devdaas posture.." giggled Kushi as Akash sniggered looking over at him brother.
"And I wonder why he's being all devadaas these days'.Anyways, what do you say Payalji? Kushi ji? Any suggetions?
How about a Salman Khan movie then? Kushi loves Salman Khan" said Payal enthusiastically now also in to the groove of finding a movie.
"Oh yes yes pleeease!! Cried Kushi. "He's so good looking and handsome and fetching and sweet and '"
"NO!" said an annoyed and also a highly offended voice.

"what?"
"I said NO" said Arnav plastering his customary scowl on his face.
He didn't know why he was reacting like this but for some reason he felt extremely jealous of Salman Khan. And that was absurd. All he knew was he was feeling a possessiveness he had never felt before in his life. He watched the expression on Kushi face; her eyes narrowed as she scrutinized him.
"I mean we should watch something Payal like" Arnav said hurriedly trying to cover up his outburst.
"But bhai she already said she wouldn't mind watching a movie with Salma.."
"Didn't I tell you all once, I won't watch any freaking movie if there's salman khan in it" said arnav his voice lacing with undisguised temper.
"chill bhai. What did the poor guy do to you?"
"Maybe told him he looks better when he's not wearing that scowl" muttered Kushi under her breath.
"Fine Akashi ji let's see something else'" said Kushi making sure to give him a scathing look before returning her gaze back to the computer screen.
"Oh how about Om shanthi Om or Ohhh oh I know!! Kal ho naa ho!! Lets watch Kal ho naa ho!!!! Said Kushi happily!! "Do you remember jiji? We cried so much at the end? But I still love it!! One of the best all time romantic movies ever!!" said Kushi her eyes sparkling, that manic glint he saw when she spoke of movie dialogues back in her eyes.
"Ok is it settled then? We will watch Kal Ho naa ho!"
Precape- "She stared at the laptop screen and tried hard to stop her tears from brimming over her eyes. The pain of loosing to love was something she couldn't relate to. Or maybe she can. She had felt this before; she now realised it. The night of Diwali when all those words of him hurt her to the extent she wanted to rip her heart out and bleed to death. It was one of those moments when the reminiscence of that old pain was returning to her, making her feel her breathless; her whole being shaking as she tried to control her pain from pouring out of her. It didn't help her when he himself was sitting next to her placidly watching a movie with her.
''
Arnav held her gently in her arms, her head resting on his chest, as she cried to her heart's content. Her sobs were silent so as not to disturb Akash and Payal but he knew her heart was screaming with the unexplainable pain. It was almost tangible to him. He knew this had nothing to do with what Sharukh Khan was telling a rain drenched Preity Zinta as she thought the man she loved is already married to another.
This was pain she had bottled inside her for many days that came pouring out with a gently nudge to her heart strings. He knew something else too; he knew that he was responsible for it.
Damn I need to go watch Kal ho naa ho again 😳 Can't remember some of the scenes.
Thank goodness my exams are over. 😉
