The whole house is swarming with people... and not just ordinary people!!... Big VIPs of London and India!!! After all, its the engagement of the daughter of one of the richest businessman of London with one of the richest business tycoon of India!!!

Everybody is so happy...except for one person!!! One person--whose happiness matters the most today and at the same time, nobody cares about her happiness!!! Nobody has cared to know what she wants??!!

She isn't expecting anything from her groom--she gritted her teeth at the word 'groom'--but she was hoping that her father would think about her happiness!!!

How could she be happy to marry a guy whom she knows just from one week??!! (Okay, fine! She knows him from before, but her parents doesn't know about that!!! For them, she knows him since a week!!!)

She has tried to persuade her Dad to give her some more time to know properly before marriage, in the hope deep in her heart of finding some way out of this mess in that time... But her Dad has been real adamant in marrying her off to him asap!!!

She cant really blame her dad for that!!! At the end of the day... its all Maan's fault!!! It is due to that disco fiasco, that whatever remained of her peaceful life is also ruined!!!!

Geet is sitting alone in front of the dressing table in her room wearing a heavy but classy green and blue lehnga...

She still cant believe that everything is happening so fast... It looks like just yesterday when everything was so perfect...when she was holding own to herself... and today, all of a sudden she is getting engaged to the world's biggest jerk!!! And after 3 days is her marriage!!!!

She clenched her teeth in anger and frustration at her helplessness!!!!

Maan has really played his game pretty well!!! He hasn't given her any time to get out of his trap!!!

Geet was still lost in thoughts when her trail of thoughts broke as Rano enters her room hurriedly doing some chores...

Rano looks at Geet and stops in her steps and forgets what chores she had come for!!!

Rano looks at Geet with immense love in her eyes...

She goes close to Geet and cups her face in her hands and kisses her forehead...

Geet closes her eyes to feel the love of her mother... She doesn't know how much more time she has with her Maa...

Rano looks at Geet with love and pride and says with a teary smile "Mujhe to pata hi nahi tha, ke meri beti itni khoobsurat hai!!!"

Geet smiles sadly and her vision gets blurry as the tears welled up in her eyes without her knowledge or permission!!!

Rano's eyes also wells up with tears but she wipes off Geet's tears before they can even roll down on her cheeks and says "Nahi Geet, rote nahin!!! Aaj to khushi ka din hai!! Pata hai Geet, I still remember the day when I took you in my hands for the first time!!! It feels like just yesterday!!! Betiyan kitni jaldi badi ho jaati hai, pata hi nahi chalta!!! It still feels like yesterday, when you went to school for the first time!!!" Rano's tears were not ready to stop which in turn brought tears in Geet's eyes too!!!

Rano tries to smile and says "Do you remember Geet, every kid in your class was crying, but you alone were the one who was smiling!!!"

Geet laughed sadly in between her sobs and said "How can I forget Maa, that you were crying loudly than any other kid in our class!!! Even my teachers were surprised to see a mother crying on the first day of a kid's school!!!"

Rano cracked into laugh in between her sobs too... But then her crying gets harder and she said "I wasn't able to stay away from you for even few hours, and now you are going away from me forever!!!"

Geet choked on her tears and hugged Rano while crying bitterly!!!

She said crying "I don't want to get married Maa!!! Please ask Dad not to do this!!! I don't want to leave you Maa!!! I cant live without you!!! Please Maa!!!!!" she begged...

For the first time, she said it sincerely without Maan being on her mind!!! Yes, she don't want to get married... not to Maan, not to anybody!!! She don't want to leave her parents especially her Maa... Just the thought of going away from her parents was excruciating!!!!

Rano said with patting her back consolingly "Geet, aisa nahi kehte!!! Hum chahe jitna is din se bhaag lein, lekin betiyon ko to ek na ek din shaadi kar ke jaana hi padta hai!!! Yehi is duniya ka dustoor hai Geet!!!"

Geet said stubbornly crying "Main nahi maanti aise dustoor ko!!! Main aap ko chhod ke nahi jaaungi!!!"

Rano had no words to console her daughter when she herself was so heart-broken... She just hugged Geet more tightly to her while crying...

"Oh!! To akele-akele aansu bahaaye jaa rahe hain??!!"

A casual voice made them look towards the door and they saw Maan standing at the door with a warm smile on his face...

Anger flowed in Geet's veins instantly by looking at him!!!

Rano broked the hug and said wiping her tears "Maan beta, aao na!!"

Maan comes inside and said narrowing his eyes "Why were you crying Maa??"

Rano didn't meet his eyes and said with a sad smile "Aisa kuch nahi hai beta, main to bas dekhne aayi thi ke Geet tayaar hui ya na..."

Maan didn't let her finish and said "Maa, aap jaanti hain na, ke aap mujhse apne aansu share kar sakti hain??!!"

Maan comes near to Rano and wipes a remaining tear from her cheeks that has evaded from Rano's wiping and said "Maa, my mom died when I was very young!! I don't really remember how she was!!! But I'm sure she would've been just like you!!! So if I can accept you as my mom, then cant you accept me as your son??"

Rano says "Ye kaisi baatein kar rahe ho beta!! You are getting married to Geet, so of course you are like my son!!!!"

Maan looks down and smiles sadly and says "To kya Maa-bete ka rishta, sirf Geet ki wajah se hai??" there was sadness in his voice...

Rano thought he has got offended from her words and she said doing damage control "I didn't meant that!!! Of course you are my son!!!!"

Maan smiles warmly and said hopefully "To bete ke naate, agar kuch maangu, to dogi Maa??"

"Kya chahiye??" Rano said with a warm motherly smile.

For a second Geet held her breath not knowing what he's gonna ask for!!!

"Mujhe apne aansu de do Maa!!!" he said solemnly.

Rano and Geet looked at him confused.

Ok Geet was so not falling for his puppy-dog looks!!! She knew him too well to know that he is not capable of feelings like love or care...hell he's not capable of any feelings!!! So what's his motive for these emotional talks...

Geet's thoughts broke with Rano's words "Nahi beta, ye to khushi ke aansu hai!!!" she wiped the lower line of her eyes to wipe any remaining moisture on her eyes...

Maan said casually "Maa please give that much credit to your son's intelligence that I can tell ke kab aansu khushi ke hote hain, aur kab gham ke??!!!"

Rano looks away being caught her lie...

Maan said with a slight smile "Maa, I know you are sad that Geet is going away from you after marriage right??!! But Maa, why don't you look it this way: ke aapko beti ke saath saath ek beta bhi mila hai!!! Aur Maa, Geet kahaan aap sab se door jaa rahi hai!!! London aur India ka faasla hai hi kitna!!!!"

And then he said with a mischievous voice "And I promise you Maa, ke jab bhi aapko Geet ki yaad aayegi na, then I would not send her to meet you!!"

Rano looks at him frowning at his words...

Maan smiles sweetly and said "But I will myself bring her to meet you!!! Aakhir mujhe bhi to meri Maa se milne ka dil karega na!!! Aur agar ab aap roye na, to dekh lena! Yahin ghar-jamai ban kar dera daal kar baith jaaoonga!!!"

A smile flooded Geet's face without her knowledge or her permission... She had gotten so engrossed in watching the scene between her Maa and Maan, that for a moment she had forgotten everything!!!

Rano said smiling "You're always welcome beta!! Ye ghar bhi tumhara hi hai!! Tum jab chaho yahaan aa sakte ho"

Maan hugs Rano and said a bit child-like "But let me warn you Maa, I'm a very possessive person!!! There might come a time too when I wont share you with even Geet!!! So don't be surprised if someday you find me at your door-step asking my right on my Maa over Geet!!!!"

Rano smiles at his words and hugs him back... She felt a strange kind of satisfaction from his words... For the first time, she felt that this is the right guy for her daughter!!! She felt that her husband's decision to choose him for Geet was right!!! She felt that he will always keep Geet happy!!!!

She said smiling "Of course beta!!! You have a right on me over Geet!!"

Geet said frowning in innocent anger "Maa!!!!" and she hugs her from behind and said pouting adorably "You are just my Maa!!!"

She didn't know why she cant share her Maa with anybody!!! She knew it was childish to feel possessive for her mother!!!

A part of her was telling her that he is doing all this due to some of his twisted motives!!! And she cant bear to involve her Maa in whatever bad intentions he had!!! Wasn't it enough that she is already entangled in his trap, that now he's weaving his trap around her mother too??!! But at the same time, another part of her was happy that Maan has diverted her mother's attention from crying and all... Somewhere deep inside her she felt gratitude towards him even if he's doing everything for some bad intention!!!

Maan answered her question playfully before Rano could say something "Sorry Geet! But Maa is now mine!!!!" he smiled wickedly and winked at her while still hugging Rano!!!

And if Geet had felt even for a milli fraction of a second that all his sweet talks were real, then she realised now how wrong she was!!!!

Geet frowns at him as she realised what he's trying to do!!! She felt nauseated as the realisation hits her hard that he's trying to make all her family on his side!!!!!!!!

Geet was still under shock of realisation when Rano gets away from Maan and said in a business-like way "Chalo!! Bohat baatein ho gayi!! Lets go downstairs, everybody will be waiting!!!"

Maan smiles sweetly and said "Of course Maa!! Whatever you say!!!"

Rano leaves before and Maan turns to leave after her...

When Maan is at the door, Geet says in determined voice "Maan!"

Maan stops and looks back at her...

Geet walks towards him and stands while facing him and said in determination "I know what you're trying to do!! But let me clear something over here!!! Don't bring my parents into our equation!!! Let our war stay between us only!!! This is my first and last warning to you Maan!!! I'm tolerating you just because of my parents!!! But if you'll try to use or hurt them, then you'll have to go through me first!!! Just remember this Maan, that if I can ruin my life for my parents' happiness, then I can ruin you too for their happiness!!!!" and she walks past him to the door...

She stops at the door and said casually without looking at him "Engagement ki rasam poori kar lein??!!" and walks out...

Geet smiles socially as everybody gives their best wishes to her...

"Congratulations gorgeous!!!" Geet heard a voice from behind her and turns to look at the source.

A frown of shock spreads her face as she saw Damon standing there with a smile on his face and a bouquet in his hands!!!

After a moment she comes out of shock and said in a hushed voice after looking around to make sure that nobody has seen him "What are you doing here Damon??"

"Don't worry gorgeous!! I'm on the guest list!!!" he said casually with a smirk.

She frowns in confusion and said "Guest list??" but then she gets a grip on herself and said "Who invited you??"

"I did sweetheart!!"

Geet looked to the side and saw Maan standing there with a smirk...

Geet frowns and said "You??"

She is now confused!! What the hell is happening!!!!???? How does Maan know Damon??!! Why did he invited him???!!!

Maan smiled at her expressions as he could read her thoughts like a crystal clear mirror!!! He knew she is super confused!!! And it was time to break the suspense now!!!

He said with a mischievous smile "Yes sweetheart!! I invited him!!!" and then he faked surprise and said "Do you know him??"

He paused for Geet to say something but when she didn't said anything, he said "He is Damon... my school friend and my lawyer!!!"

Geet looks at him shocked and he leans towards her and whispers near her ear "You wanted to know right that how did I came out of prison?? Well he helped me!!!" she looks at him shocked and he whispers faking innocence "He's a lawyer!!! Maybe you don't know Geet, but he's too good in twisting and turning the laws!!!!"

Now everything falls into place in Geet's mind!!!

She looks at Damon frowning in anger who just smiled at her shamelessly...

Maan said with intensity in his voice "What did you thought Geet!!?? That he was helping you??!!" he chuckles and said "No sweetheart!!! He was pretending to help you on my instructions!!! But in reality, he was helping me!!!!"

Geet kept on looking at Damon angrily!! She doesn't know on whom she was more angry... Maan, Damon or herself!!!

But the reality was that neither of them were good enough for even her anger!!! Both of them are unreliable jerks... Both of them are unworthy of trust... And the irony of the situation is that she knew this from the beginning that Damon is a cheap low-life jerk who could ditch her any moment, but still she hoped that he wouldn't!!!

Geet smiles tauntingly inspite of herself and said casually looking at Damon "You must be thinking that I'll be mad at you right!! But you know what, I'm not mad at you!! In fact, I'm not mad at either of you!!!" she looks at both of them casually and continued "You know why Damon?? Because I'm not surprised!!! It is just so obvious" and her voice started loosing casualness and replaced by anger "that a basttard like you can only be a friend of a dog like him!! And it wasn't your fault actually!!! I should've known that once a basttard, always a basttard!!!"

Maan said threateningly "Geet!!"

"I'm not talking to you Maan!!! So don't interfere!!!" she said casually and looks at Damon and said "I knew betraying is in your blood Damon!!! You did exactly what you know how to do best..." she said sarcastically "After all, you are the best... In betraying!! In cheating!! In ditching!! And above all, being a basttard!!!" she laughs sarcastically but the anger and frustration visible in her voice "Just like Maan!!! Hey... You know what?? You both should get married!!! Because you are perfect for each other!!! Both of you are treacherous... both of you are evil... and both of you know how to break trust!!! You will make a deadly pair!!!!"

She didn't know what she was saying or what she was implying!!! Her anger and frustration was getting out of her control now!!! Anger that was mostly pointed towards herself... for trusting a man like him!!! For hoping that he would help her in getting rid of Maan!!!! How much planning she had done to get Maan behind the bars, and this Damon had ruined all her planning in the blink of an eye!!!

Tears of anger started stinging her eyes... She didn't want to stand there and let them witness her weakness, so she walked away from them before any of them could say something...

She goes away from them trying to control herself... The tears of anger were threatening to make way into her eyes...

She looked towards Maan and Damon's side and saw them laughing among themselves!!!!

Geet's anger knew no bounds as she concluded that they were mocking at her!!! And Geet Handa is not a joke to be laughed at!!!!

She smirked to herself as an idea struck her and she said to herself "Jitna jee chaahe utna hans lo Maan, lekin ye hansi tumhein bohat mehngi parne wali hai!!! Bohat naaz hai na tumhein apne iss dost par!! To ab tumhara yehi dost tumhein bhaari parne wala hai!! I know him way better than you do Maan!! And I know he would not think twice before backstabbing you!!!!" she smiled evilly at her plan.

Just then mohinder lal calls everyone to gather for the ring ceremony!!

Rano brings Geet to the stage for the ceremony...

Geet looks at Maan with a smirk due to her new-found plan and saw him smirking smugly too at her!!! Geet's smirk vanished by his smirk!!!! She knew that something was cooking up in his mind but what??!!

Mohinder says to Maan giving him the ring in his hand "Maan beta, Geet ko ring pehna do!!!"

Maan looks at Geet with a wicked smile and said "I'm sorry Dad, magar main Geet ko angoothi nahi pehna sakta!!!!" [I cant put ring on Geet's finger]

So friends how was it??? Still boring???? I know I haven't given an update on this one for a long time and honestly the reason is that I was scared!!! I had no idea what to do with it to make it interesting!!! I'm even thinking of wrapping it up soon as I know many of you thought that it was too boring!!!

Trust me I can tell when you guys are bored because at the end of the day I'm also a reader!!!

So the fate of this ff depends on this update!!!
