Part 2:

For three days after that Arnav doesnt get to see Khushi at the Raizada mansion. She keeps to herself and he has no clue what has happened to her. He deliberates whether to ask her, and then decides not to. He turns and angry cranky, showing it all on Lavanya. He refuses to come down for dinner or lunch and spends most of his time working on his laptop. On one such he day chances upon the pictures that they had shot of hers in a red saree. This distracts him even the more.

Shyam, now has no reasons to go back to the Gupta Household as he is afraid of facing the family. He lets buaji know it is work that is keeping him away and that he will not be able to make it for more than a week. The call had been short and brief and had even surprised buaji, since she had not been used to Shaam being curt and breezy.

So finally three days before the engagement was to take place, Anjali invites Khushi and Payal home to try out a few costumes that they had picked. Khushi makes an excuse saying she is busy with ghar ka kaam but Payal would definitely come. Akash finds this as a wonderful chance to pick up Payal and offers to go bring her home. But as bad luck would have it, there is an urgent meeting he has to attend, and Anjali insists, Arnav must pick Payal up. She says .

"woh ab aapki hone waali bhabhi hai, aur yeh baat tey hone ke baad woh pehli baar iss ghar main aane waali hai, toh hum ek driver ko kaise bhej de... chote aap Payal ji ko leke ayenge?"

Arnav would have refused at other times, but he takes this as a good chance to check on Khushi who he hadnt seen in days. He knew meeting her once and seeing how she was doing would put him to ease as well. And besides he had no clue if that man had once again tried to contact her or say things to her. he didnt want to ask her these questions directly, but he would figure a way out eventually he decided.

Without saying a word to anyone, he drives to pick up Payal. As he enters the house, his eyes look for someone. Buaji greets him warmly and asks him to come inside. She offers him chai.

Ar: jee nahi main black coffee loonga '!

Bua: uuu kaise banti hai babua' hum Khushi bitiya ko bulayi dete hai '

Arnav looks up towards towards the room on the other side wondering if Khushi could be there. He doesn't ask for her though.

Bua: Payaliya pehli baar tumre ghar main aa rahi hai na, ee waste uko aache se tayar karwa rahi hai '

Ar: yeh sab karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai buaji, hum sabko Payalji aisi hi pasand hai '..especially Akash ko '

Bua: aap sab log bahuti hi aacche ho ' ( getting emotional, as Arnav is restlessly looking for someone)

Bua walks into the kitchen and calls out to Khushi and says, help me the black coffee. Arnav peeps to look, not wanting to seem various anxious but his body language gives him away. He thanks his fortune that no one is around.

He wonders why she hasn't been coming out despite being called out for so many times'. And then he hears her voice finally ' "bua ji, kitni baar yaad dilaye, unke liye bina shakkar waali coffee, aur haan doodh mat daalna'"

Bua: bina doodh ke coffee'

Kh: ssh.. bua ji, woh sun lenge ' aur haan, Arnav Singh Raizada aisi coffee hee peete hai ' ( she giggles) unko dekhke aapko yeh samaj jaana chahiye tha'

For once he is not angry but totally relieved to hear her laugh and crack a joke, even if it means she is making him the butt of jokes. Khushi takes the coffee in a tray and walks into the hall with a smile on her face which soon disappears on seeing him like always. The smile is replaced with a fluttering heart that automatically puts her into a mode of fleeing from there as soon as possible.

She hands over the coffee to him without making any eye contact and is about to leave when he asks her '.

"tum ab theek ho na?"

Kh: hume kya hua hai ' tum toh bilkul theek hai ' ( without still looking at him) .. hum abhi jeeji ko lekar aate hai '.

And before he can ask her another question she disappears into the room making him wonder what this inconclusive conversation was all about.

Payal appears soon and Arnav gets up to leave with her without making any more attempts to talk to Khushi or ask her questions. He feels she doesn't want to talk about it, and he knows no amount of prodding would get an answer out of her. His heart however felt a sense of pain that told kept pulling him towards her, wanting to ask her questions, do something for her and know the exact state of her heart!

Just as they are about to step out Payal speaks "Khushi,hume bahut darr lag raha hai, tum bhi chalo na humare saath ' hum jaldi waapis aa jayenge'."

Arnav looks at Khushi, who quickly looks at him and looks away' "jeeji ghar main bahut kaam hai aur bua ji '"

Arnav is still looking away '.but Payal insists and this leaves Khushi with no choice but to accompany them! Especially after Bua also tells her that Payal will not be able to handle mami alone. Arnav is thrilled at the fact that Khushi is going with them but he shows no facial reaction.

Khushi makes Payal get onto the front seat while she sits at the back. This allows Arnav the chance to make eye conversation with her occasionally. As they are driving there are many questions they ask each other and answer in silence.

Arnav: Khushi, tum theek ho?

Kh: (looking away) hmmm'

Arnav: kahin usne fir se'

Kh: nahi '

Arnav: lekin tumhari aankhen toh kuch aur keh rahi hai'

Kh: mat dekhiye in main, main aapko jhoot nahi bol paungi ' ( there are tears in her eyes as she looks away)

Arnav suddenly brakes the car consumed and overcome by emotion as Payal is shocked. "Kya hua Arnav ji" she asks him as Khushi looks up and see's Arnav. He is not looking at her anymore. He is continuing to drive. She shuts her eyes trying hard to stop her tears from rolling out and hates herself for losing her emotional balance around him.

They reach the Raizada House and Payal and Khushi are warmly greeted by all but mami.

Much to their surprise Shaam also walks in around the time and Anjali innocently holds onto him and introduces him to Payal and Khushi and says ' "Khushi ji, Payal ji, yeh humare pati hai"

While Khushi has no reaction on her face, Payal is totally shocked. Khushi looks at her sister and shakes her head trying to tell her not to react. Payal is majorly distracted as Khushi tries to act normal around the family for her sisters sake, helping with things in the house. She makes no conversation with Shaam and Arnav also sits down observing things around them.

A while later, Payal pulls Khushi by the pool side and asks her '

"Khushi yeh sab kya hai '.????... Shaam ji '."

Kh: Haan Jeeji, yehi sach hai ' wo Anjali ji ke pati hai '.

Pa: aur tum'.

Kh: iss duniya ki sabse badi bewakoof'..

Pa: par Khushi '..

Kh: Jeeji, jo hota hai acche ke liye hota hai, aur accha hua hume yeh sach abhi pata lag gaya, warna baad main hume yeh baat pata chalti toh aur bhi musibat ho jaati '

Pa: hum abhi yeh baat ghar main '.

Kh: nahi jeeji, aap abhi yeh baat kisi ko nahi batayengi, aapko meri kasam hai ' main nahi chahti iss baar aap ki khushi main koi rukawat aaye ' ( she takes payals hand and places it on her head taking a promise) ' aur haan jeeji, iss ghar main iss baat ki zikr ab hum nahi karenge'

Payal hugs Khushi and says ' "aur itne dino se ' jo tum apne dil main yeh baat lekar jee rahi ho wo '."

Kh: arey nahi jeeji, hum toh aapke sagai ko leke itne busy ho gaye the ke hume kuch yaad hi nahi raha .. aur fir ' humne toh kabhi unse pyaar kiya hi nahi ' humara dil toh humesha se ( getting carried away) '.

They hear a voice, and its Arnav's who tells Payal that she is wanted down stairs. Khushi also follows her but a hand strongly pulls her back and she looks into his eyes totally lost!

As she regains her composure, and is about to leave Arnav asks her '. " tum abhi payal se kuch keh rahi thi '."

Khushi tries to resist this and move away and is scared if he has heard the bit about Sham being Anjali's husband from the look on Arnav's face.

Kh: kuch nahi kaha humne ( she lies)

Ar: tum itna jhoot kyun bolti ho ( gritting his teeth)

Kh: hum jhoot nahi bolte '.

He tightens his grip around her arm and asks her again'. "tum abhi kya keh rahi thi Payal ke saamne ke tum apne mangetar se kabhi pyaar hi nahi karti thi kyunki '."

This is when she realises Arnav had heard the most vulnerable part of the conversation but is also relieved he hadnt yet learnt the truth ..., and her heart starts to race really fast as though there is no escape anymore.

Ar: Kaho Khushi '. ( he says softening his voice, and with hope in his eyes)

Kh: wo hum keh rahey the ke ' hum .. wo '

Ar: just say it damnnit ... ( not realising why he is getting this restless, as her eyes widen in shock and confusion) '.

Kh: hum- apne-humara matlab hai-unse pyaar nahi karte kyunki hum...''''

He knows she will say it now when both of them are horrified at seeing Lavanya standing right there in between looking at the two shocked.

wow it was awesome!! I could imagine all of it happening in the show..Hope it goes this way in the show as well! Very well written!! 👏
