she could feel a slight tinge of liquid oozing out.. undoubtedly the red liquid in her veins.. that seem to pump faster than usual now days. She walked in the office with a heart that suddenly seem to weigh 100kgs lighter may be.. even lighter that a feather.. the curve on her lips was unimaginably wide.. a sparkle in her eyes anyone could write the whole days hard work to.
She excietedly completed her work & rushed home. She cutely changed into her pinkish night pants & t-shirt. She cuddled into the spread & reached her phone restlessly to call him. The whole smile in her face died the moment she saw prachi calling her right then. She felt horribly guilty .. wat was she doing.. wat was going in her mind all this while.. didn't she even think abt prachi once. She slapped herself hard .. hard .. again to have even thought otherwise... & answered her call...

Geet ' abhi office se aayen thi
prachi had her own tale to tell her abt studies & assignment & submissions. In between abt Maan, that Geet had began to feel little uncomfortable abt. Though she knew it was wrong, still she didn't seem to have control over her emotions...
prachi suddenly paused.. ek min.. I will call u later Maan ka phone aa raha hain
Geet closed her eyes tightly.. it felt someone just pierced a sharp needle through her heart. She smiled weakly, as prachi cut the call in rush.
Prachi ' hi Maan
Maan ' hi, were u on call with someone
prachi ' haan Geet se baat kar rahi thi
Maan was bit lost there.. Geet ' she came home already?
Prachi ' haan wo 1hr phelen hi aagayen
Maan was taken a back. He abruptly cut her call & called Geet immediately
geet didn't know whether to answer the call or not.. whether to feel happy that their call ended so soon.. dam she was becoming so mean & selfish. she hated herself .. how can she be so mean to her own frd.
Geet very meekly answered ' hi
he was abt to hit the roof in anger.. that she didn't call him first' but hearing her meek voice, he got really concerned.. kya huwa?why r u sounding so dull?

She felt like crying ' hidding her facei n his chest.. complaining why.. why did he have to be her best frds BF.. why can't life be simple straight frwd.. just him & her..she went mum

she couldn't bare to hear such talks from him.. it was making it impossible for her to stop falling for him. Detaching from him.
She simply cut the call & switched off the phone.
Past mid night she realized it was prachi's bday. Dam .. she just switched on her phone to wish her.. her phone rang.. she was shocked to see.. it was from Maan.
She couldn't believe..its not joke to get a call just when u switched it on.. either he is been trying madly.. or it is some kind of coincidence.. how she wished he was trying.. yes.. he was.. apparently..
he yelled yet again, confused with her sudden withdrawal. How cutely he complained the whole night.
Oh babaji.. how am I to get away from this guy...

Next day was special. Small close birthday party for prachi.. Maan, Geet & prachi.
Geet was terrified to even meet Maan infront of prachi. She had been avoiding his call or facing him the whole day.. actually since last night.. literally since a week now.. oh god!!!.. nothing had worked
lather in the evening
prachi held her hand & walked into the restaurant.. I guess Maan is running late. For a moment Geet felt a sense of relief in knowing she won't be bothered by his glares.. or is it eyes.. or just him.. oh god she shook her head!!! but she would see him soon enough. But mid of the thoughts she was getting restless why was he late at the first place. .. then she made a mental note the less she saw of him, the better.
Prachi comfortably settled in the sofa flipping the menu card.
Geet almost jumped when he heard him whisper in her ears don't you think it's time you stopped avoiding me?.. she gulped giving a fixed look at prachi.. who had not noticed that.
Before she could react.. Maan gave a big hug to prachi & wished her a happy birthday.
While prachi settled with her gift that he brought for her & deciding on the menu.. he stood next to Geets table in a menacing stance with hands on his hips.. oh god he seemed downright threatening. She couldn't stop herself taking a min admiring his casual t-shirt & jeans. He leaned closer to her yet again..
I asked u a question Geet.. his husky yet sharp tone made forced her to look straight back down on the table.
Prachi ' wat question Maan?
Maan causally ' she is avoiding me
prachi looked at Geet with questioning eyes
Geet was taken a back with his boldness & bit nervous how to face prachi.. she cleared her throat.. avoiding u.. sorry I rather not take that much an effort she snapped back & resumed looking into the menu card.
Prachi knew Geet would be too much for Maan.. & he probably puts up with her for her. Sadly she didn't know the hidden story.. no one knew for that matter.
The moment prachi looked away.. Maan immediately turned the upside down menu card that Geet was pretending to read.. straight & looked away.. she hid her face in embarrassment cursing herself. & he had that typical grin on his face.. the one to kill for.
They placed the ordered... Maan didn't settle down yet. He went around got a cake for prachi.. & after all the celebration bit.. came around geets side..since ur not avoiding me u shouldn't have a problem if I sit next to u? he asked as he almost tucked close to her.
She frowned inching away.. making sure no one noticed
