PART 12

Geet made her way towards Dr. Nidhi's cabin... She had taken the appointment after Pinky left... As Dr. Nidhi had no much appointments, she told her to come now...

Geet knocked on the door of Nidhi's cabin...

Dr. Nidhi- Come in...

Geet went in- Hii Dr. Nidhi...

Dr. Nidhi- Hello Geet, plzz come in... how are you???

Geet- Actually I have come here for 2 reasons... I have sprained this leg again yesterday and have some pain...

Nidhi took geet to lie down on the bed to make a quick check of her leg... She checked her foot... it had some swelling but t could be fine soon... There was nothing to worry about... The bones were intact...

Dr. Nidhi- Zyaada kuch nhi hai, bas thodi swelling hai,isiliye tumhe dard ho raha hai... The bone is in its place in one piece...nothing much to worry...

Nidhi got her down and made her sit on the chair...

Dr. Nidhi- so what is the second thing..????

Geet was being a bit reluctant to talk about it... Because to a normal human being, it would sound weird and silly... some may find it to be madness...

Dr. Nidhi- Geet, what is the matter???? You don't have to worry so much...

Geet gathered her hesitant mind and formed words to tell what she was going through...

Geet- Doc, mujhe ajeeb ajeeb sapne aa rahe hai... they are in no way related to me... They are of some other person for sure... they are haunting me since the accident took place... I avoided them inthe beginning... but now the are haunting my nights... not that they are all bad... but they are not mine... they belong to someone else...

Nidhi tried to formulate and analyse what geet was telling her... She is not an experienced doctor... but she had studied a lot of PhD books... She was able to relate some case to Geet but she didn't draw her conclusions... She wished to know more...

Dr. Nidhi- What do u see??? Do u see urself??? Do feel yourself????

Geet- in the beginning, i used to see blur images of some people... then later, they were replaced by some faces of the people whom I got to know some days back... I can't see myself there... the person is not me, the physic is not mine, that voice is not mine... nothing is mine in those dream but still I see them...You maybe finding it funny... or is it that I need a psychiatrist...????

Dr. Nidhi- No dear, I don't find it funny and you don't need a psychiatrist... please wait for a while till I talk to the senior doctor... He will be able to explain this in a better way...

Geet waited as she saw Nidhi going out... She waited for a while... those few minutes felt like eternity to her... Nidhi came in her cabin after a full half an hour...

Dr. Nidhi- Geet, please come with me...

Geet follows Nidhi out of her cabin... They go to other doctor's cabin...Geet read the plate on the door... It read Dr. Aashutosh...

Dr. Nidhi- may I come in sir???

Dr. Ashutosh- yes Dr..please come in...where is the patient...????

Dr. Nidhi told Get to come in...

Nidhi- sir she is the patient...

Dr. Aashutosh (A)- yes miss Geet... what is the matter???

Geet- I guess Doc would have told you what it is...

Dr. A- yaa, but I want to know more... from when it has started and how you feel????

Geet- It has started some days after my accident... Mr. Maan Singh Khurana donated his blood to me... I didn't realise how I knoew about his Daadi at the first place when he came to meet me... Dr. Nidhi was there when this happened... then again the same thing happened when I met him in his office for a business contract... That time also I spoke something related to his Daadi... that time I met his friends and the blur faces in my dreams got their faces, as if they were the one I was dreaming of...n they perfectly fitted the images... Later and latest was yesterday when I said about something related to his school life... But in all this, I have been nowhere before... as in, we don't have any other connection before the accident... And co-incidently, all are related to him... N yesterday night, i got more of such dreams, but again I hv no connection in any of it... I can't tell you howit feels when nothing is connected to you, and you still dream of such things... It is unlike me to interefere in anyone's life, but last night, I don't know how, but when I was calling my Dad, the call went to KM... I still don't know how did it connect... You may think that what is so shocking, galat numbers dial kiye honge, but I seriously don't know how did I dial that number... thats all I can tell you... there is no other way i can explain what I felt...

Geet was shivering while she was telling all this... She had no idea what has happened to her... She had never hidden anything from her Mom...but today she did... maybe bcoz she was ashamed to tell her such a silly thing... Her Mom would have not laughed at her, but still that fear existed in her mind...

Both the doctors waited till she stopped shivering and calmed herself down... Geet composed herself and looked at the two doctors with pleading eyes to tell her what had happened to her... She atlast voiced her thoughts...

Geet- mujhe, kya hua hai..???? koi bohot badi bimaari hui hai kya..??? She asked so innocently that both the doctors couldn't help smiling...

Nidhi kept her hand on Geet's shoulder assuringly, as Ashutosh started speaking...

Dr. A- Have you heard of cases of people getting memories of other people who have undergone Heart Transplant... meaning, jinka heart un logonko mila hai, unki kuch memories uss patient ko milti hai...

Geet shook her head in negative... She had no idea about all this, even if her father was a Heart surgeon... How was she supposed to know...She is not from science background...

Dr. A switched on his Laptop, did some typing on it and turned the lappy towards her...

She read exactly what Dr. A told her... There are cases where heart transplant has also given them the memories to the patients... Paul Pearsall, a neuropsychologist, wrote about this interesting topic in his book, The Heart's Code: Tapping the Wisdom and Power of Our Heart Energy. In it, he provides insight into his belief that the physical heart contains within it memories belonging to its person. Part of Pearsall's research for the book included tracking several real life cases of heart transplant recipients who mysteriously inherited some of their donors' traits.

She was shocked, rather surprised that things like this haapened...This is such a rare thing to happen... But, wait a minute, I have not undergone Heart Transplant, she thought...

Geet- But I have not undergone any Heart Transplant... So, why has something like this happened to her...

Dr. Nidhi- Geet, blood transfusion from Mr. Khurana...

That struck her... yaa, blood transfusion... But can blood transfusion also give you the memories of the people..????

Heart and memories can atleast have connection with each other..but Blood and memories...???? She thought hard... She looked at the two doctors... The look an her face was actually making them laugh...

Dr. A- Even the memories transfer via heart is a rarest thing... but it has happened... So, why do you think that this impossible thing cannot happen..??? the previous one is also impossible to happen... You would be the first one to get the memories from someone's blood... The Miracle Lady...

Geet went into deep thought... yes, it was impossible to get the memories of any person by any means... So, be it heart or blood, anything can happen... She raised from her chair to leave...

Dr. Nidhi- Geet...

Geet- I will come to meet you again if need be... now I want to be alone...

Nidhi understood by the look on Geet's face, wat kind of turmoil she was going through... She didn't stop her...

Geet- And plzz don't tell anything to my Dad... I will tell him myself, when time comes... Nidhi just nodded... Geet left the cabin... The doctors were themselves surprised with what had happened with her... but they cant help anything that has happened... maybe, it was what God wanted to do... This thing can be related to God only, bcoz such things are out ofthe perview of scientific knowledge... Science cannot give explanation to such things... So, call it fate, destiny, karma or whatever name you give to it... It would bring and live at God's doorstep... He is the creator, the enricher and also the destroyer... All is in his hands...

Geet was walking down the street all dazed...the Bandra- Worli Sea link was visible near the hospital, so she went that way coming to Bandra Reclamation... That was the place you can come with anyone, and also with no one... That was the place near the sea and a beautiful view of horizon... She was in deep thought... what had happened to her... actually, nothing was wrong with her, but still nothing was right as well... She had got the memories of a man... THE Man who was very well known all around Mumbai, India and also the world... She had seen him for the first time in the hospital, and now she was here with his memories, his secrets all revealed to her without his knowledge... Now everything was falling in place... She was now thinking how she was going to face him, knowing him inside out... The things that had happened earlier unknowingly will now happen knowingly, becoz now she knew everything about him... And after yesterday's dream, she admired this man all the more... now she knows every damn thing about him...

She looked up at the sky... It had turned a little dusky... It was now evening, she realised... The cool breez that hit her which were coming from the sea made her feel ticklish... She was smiling now... She was no more ashamed of herself... Ya, she was feeling guilty to know about the man, but it was not her fault, so why should she be guilty...realising this, she smiled all the more... now she was sure, what she was feeling had been becoz of this blood when he came to meet her in the hospital, when she sam him in his office, when she fell in her arms...

She was already falling for him, but now she was all the more connected to him... Even if she knew all the things about him, she was not going to make him fall for her on this basis... her love, or rather liking towards him was genuinely hers... yaa, the liking, she still wasn't sure what she felt was love... She will not hurry... She will follow what she said to Annie... She will follow her own words... Maan will know about this but just not now... she will first make a good rapo with him... Telling him everything now will take him far away even before going close to him...

She looked up at the heavens... What kind of love story they had created this time... She was now waiting for the day to end, and start ot all over again with Maan, but this time knowing all about him...their relation... THEIR BLOOD RELATION...!!!
