PART 11

Few minutes after cutting the call, Geet realised what had just happened... She was supposed to call her Dad and not at KM...and she is still shocked that she so friendly chatted with Annie... Annie..!!!! How did she know her... ahh, she so much wanted to scream her heart out... what is happening with her... She felt good that she was able to help Annie, but did she have that right???? She decided that she will go to Dr. Kotnis hospital tomorrow itself, not waiting for her Dad to come... She can talk to him about all this later too... She immediately called her dad to tell him about her little injury, checking every number she had dialled... She cut the call in a hurry not to let her dad know what was she going through... She was still shocked as to how did she call KM... how did she know the number... She was getting hell confused... now she was getting tensed and worried of what was happening to her... Now she can't take all this so lightly...so she was finally going to the hospital and gonna check on self... Geet realised that she should tell Maan that she will not come tomorrow... She texted him that she is not coming 2mro, giving the reason of her injured leg hurting...

Immediately, she received his call...

Maan- Hello Geet... tum thik tho ho na... bohot zyaada dard ho raha hai kya???

Geet was awestruck with his concern...

Maan- hello Geet... he said again on not getting any response...

Geet, came out of her toughts- haan Maan, tumne kuch kaha...???

Maan- kaha khoi hui ho..???/ mene pucha, tume thik to ho na..????

Geet- haan Maan, me thik hu..bas zara sa pain hai... kal jaa rahi hu doctor ke paas...

Maan- kyu, Dr. Handa nahi hai kya???

Geet- nahi... vo conference ke liye Pune gaye hai... 2 din baad aayenge...

Maan- ok, u want me to come with u??? He made a face after saying so... how desperate he might have sound while saying so...

Geet, literally screamed- NOOO...!!!!!

Maan was taken aback by her tone...

Geet cleared he throat immediately- I mean Mom is coming with me... you don't need to worry... sorry for screaming...i was not able to hear you so thought maybe even you r not able to hear me... she reasoned...

Maan was hurt, but trusted her reasoning- OH, thats ok... you take care... call me if you need help... he said it all in a very low voice, making it obvious to geet that he was hurt...

Geet- sorry... I had no intention to hurt you...

Maan- its ok...i m fine...

Geet- ok, then... she wanted to hang the call... she didn't wanted to hut him by lying...

Maan, got her hint- ok byee... meet you day after... take care...

Geet- byeee...you take care too...

N they cut the call... Geet sighed n felt guilty she hurt him... She was already going through so much that she couldn't take his hurt... She didn't want him to come as she was not going for her leg... She wanted to know what was happening to her... This leg injury was just a reason to skip going to work... She shook her mind and head to throw out all her thoughts and fall asleep... but to her luck, she wasn't able to... She was getting all kind of dreams now... She was getting to know every truth, good, best, bad and worst too...All the dots were connecting... It was as if she was living his life... And she suddenly jerked up from her sleep as if she saw a very bad dream, all sweaty and perplexed... She saw around her... She was in her room... She relaxed a bit after recognising her surroundings...She now knew too much about Maan... And she was sure, that it was Maan... because now she had seen faces of almost everyone, except for DJ and Annie... and also his voice was etched in her head, mind, body and soul... She again tried to sleep, and with great efforts fell asleep...

In the morning,

She went down to the breakfast table to have her breakfast... Rano saw her shaken state...

Rano- Geet sweety, what happened?? Why r u tensed???

Geet- its othing Mom, I m fine, just a little headache... She changed her body language not to let Rano know...

Rano- ok dear.. Do you want me to give u any medicine..??? painkillers or anything...???

Geet- no mom, I m anyway going to meet Dr. Nidhi for this leg sprain... I'll take the extra meds for headache too...

Rano- kyu, mom ki nursing per doubt hai kya...??? Rano winked...

Geet chuckled bit- Mom... aisi baat nhi hai... ye leg thoda zyaada pareshaan kar raha hai... to socha dikha du... otherwise, aap ke hote hue me kaha jaungi...

Rano- I was kidding dear... N uss sprain ka to me bhi kuch nhi kar sakti... me to sirf nurse hu, tere papa jo bolte hai vahi karti hu... so, just chill... she laughed at her own joke...

Geet just gave a small smile... Sh e was lost in deep thought...

Rano- Geet, is there something that I need to know in your case... tum kuch zyaada hi shaant ho aaj... Dad ko miss kar rahi ho kya??? Ya, kuch aur baat hai...

Geet- haan Mom, Dad ko miss kar rahi hu... bohot dino baad vo ghar se bahar gaye hai na, isiliye...

Rano- aww, my baby... Dad aajaenge dear, kal sham tak... tum unse phone pe baat kar lo naa...

Geet- it's ok Mom... vo bhi to unke kaam me busy honge... unke ghar aane ke baad baat kar lungi...

Rano- aur Mom..???? usko to kabhi miss kiya hi nhi na... me bhi jaati hu ab kuch dino ke liye bahar... dekhti hu koi mujhe miss karta bhi hai yaa nhi...

Geet- Mom, aisi baat nhi hai Mom... aap to naaraaz ho gayi...

Rano smiled- me kaise tumse naaraaz ho sakti hu beta... ulta mujhe, tumhe aur tumhare Dad ko saath dekh kar bohot khushi milti hai...

Geet hugged Rano from her stomach as she was standing besides Geet and Geet was sitting...

Rano felt the stiffness in her...She was worried but she couldn't do anything till Geet tells herself what is the matter...

Rano- Geet kya hua ai??? Apni Maa ko nahi batyegi...???

Geet sensed that Rano was getting worried, so she tried to relax herself...

Geet- Mom, sach me kuch nh hua hai... bas leg pain ho raha hai and head is also aching...

Rano- tu nhi batana chahti to thik hai... if you want I can come with you to the hospital...

Geet- it's ok mom, aapko clinic bhi to jaana hai na...dusre Doctor aane waale honge as Dad is not here...

Rano dint force her much...She knew that something was wrong but she believed that her daughter can handle it alone...

Rano- as you wish... agar meri zaroorat padi, to you have my number... bas ek call ki doori par hu me...

Geet smiled and nodded...

Rano left after having her breakfast and telling geet to look at Pinky till she goes to college...

After sometime, even Pinky did all her morning doings and left for college bidding bye to Geet...
