He sat in his room totally angry with himself!~there were loads of unexplained emotions running through his head at the moment. He had never behaved this way ever before in public. But a couple of minutes before the engagement ceremony he called Anjali aside to tell her, he would not do this and he walked away into his room and locked himself inside! The entire family for once had been so mad at ASR, they chose to leave him alone, and attend to La.
La had been crying her eyes out, and Khushi was by her side. She had been more shocked than confused this time around!
How could ASR do something like this? If he didnt want to get engaged to La, then why did he bring it this far? DId she have the right to ask him that? Should she? She wondered ...
"Thank god, humne sirf apni families ko bulaya iss ceremony pe" La's mom reacted horrified ..."Warna humari kitni humiliation ho jaati ... aur fir society main humara naam..."
"Beijjati toh abhi bhi hui hai ... chote ko aisa nahi karna chahiye tha "
Anjali: hum chote ko jaante hai, koi toh baat hui hai, warna woh aisa kabhi nahi karte .. hume pata lagana hoga ... hum abhi jaake unse poochte hai ...
Kh: jee nahi Anjali jee, aisa mat keejiye, aap jaante hai na, Arnav ji ab bahut gusse main honge, aur agar unhone aapse kuch aisa waisa keh diya toh, aap aaj ke din unhe rehne dee jiye ...
An: Khushi ji aap sahi keh rahi ho ...
Nani also gives an approving look as La looks at Khushi differently ...
"Tum bade acche se jaanti ho ASR ko ..." There is bitterness in her voice, as well as pain, and Khushi suddenly starts to feel uncomfortable at the thought that there could be a deeper meaning to what La had said ...
La walks up to Anjali hugs her with tears flowing down from her eyes .. "Di, kya main aaj ke din thodi der akeli reh sakti hoon?? please...
Lavanya's mother: No way baby!! itna sab kuch hone ke baad... not way , hume yaad hai, jab tum choti bacchi thi, aur tumhari favorite dress kharab ho gayi thi, tum raat main uth kar chalte chalte uss shop tak chali gayi thi, we cant take a chance ... "
Kh: Madam ji, aaj raat hum ruk jaate hai Lavanya Jee ke saath, aap sab aaram kar lo ...
Having sent every one off, La asked Khushi "tum ASR party se pehle tumse milne aaye the na Chamkeeli ???"
Khushi is shell shocked!!
Arnav Singh Raizada was sitting in his room totally feeling helpless and restless.. He knew what he had done today was not right! He shouldn't have brought things to the brink! Why did he want his wedding to happen in Lucknow? Why did he hire Khushi? Why couldn't he control his emotions the moment he saw her? And why couldn't he still see tears in her eyes after all these days?
This wedding was important to her because she wanted her father to get cured? Should he get married so that she would get what she wanted? He couldn't believe he was ready to that as well !! But what was La's fault? He had been unfair to her all this while .. He decided tomorrow would be the day! He would let her know, that they are not meant to be, and that he didn't want to do this to her! He would also tell Khushi that he would get her father treated and she would get the money that she rightfully deserved! But knowing her he knew, she would not want to take this help from him, so how would he still do it? Should he talk to her? For once he was sooo compelled by his heart taking over his head, he didn't know how to wriggle out... Where would she be? His constantly fluttering heart told him she was around! But he wanted to make sure ... So he decided to wait, until everyone else fell alseep ...!
Khushi had been totally shocked at Lavanya's question ... she didnt know how to answer the question ...
Say something Chamkeeli La pleaded... I am not doubting you, ya main tumhe kuch nahi keh rahi hoon .. Lekin main ASR main bahut changes dekhi hai ... especially tumhare jaane ke baad.. woh pehle se zyada irritated aur annoyed hone lagey hai ... hum main se kisi se theek se baat tak nahi karte, aur kabhi kabhi ..mujhe darr lagta hai usne kuch kehne se ...
Khushi doesnt know what to say about manages to say ... "agar iske baare main baat karne se, aap ke mann ko shanti milti hai, toh aap humare sath baat kar sakti hai ... "
As though waiting for the moment all this while ... La poured out to Khushi about how she had been nothing but unhappy in the last few months, post the day Arnav had announced he would get engaged and married to La. how he had mostly kept to himself, and never entertained anyone around him ...as Khyshi heard on ...
"aur ab mujhe pata nahi, if he is the same ASR i fell in love with ... "
Kh: woh abhi bhi wahi hai Lavanya ji .. (going into an emotional mode)... shayad aap hi unke iss roop ko kabhi dekh kar samajh nahi paayi ...shayad woh kisi baat ko lekar pareshan hai .. aur usne woh baat poochne waala koi nahi ho ...
La: Kisi ki itni himmat , ke woh ASR ke paas jaaye, baat baat pe shut, aur get out...!!
Khushi went back into the thoughts and moments of how and when he had done that with her, and she also remembered, how he had eventually come back to her to make sure she was fine ! She very well had seen that vulnerable side of ASR and she knew it still existed, and she had seen the proof of the same that very evening ...
"Chamkeeli, ASR ne tumse kuch kaha kya ... ??? I want to know ... kyunki, hum sabko lagta tha, ek tum hi ho, jiske saamne ASR pehle haste the ... "
Khushi didnt know how to respond to La's innocent harmless confession.. She hugged her and assured her ... "sab theek ho jayega... aap uss Laad Governor ko toh Jaanti hi hai na... woh kaise hai ... aap dekhna, kal subah tak sab theek ho jayega... woh khud aake aapse kahenge... dus din baad nahi... abhi karoonga tumse shaadi ..." ( did she just say that? cos her heart sank once more)
Khushi put Lavanya off to bed, and sat down to think... She would have to talk to ASR and tonight! There was no other way out! He just couldnt do this to a girl, who dearly loved him so ... So thinking she also waited for the time for everyone to sleep off...
At around 1 am in the morning, Khushi stepped outta her room making herr way towards ASR's which was at the other end of the Sheesh Mahal!
But just as she was about to walk towards the other side of the Mahal, a hand strongly pulled her towards himself in darkness and she was all numb, all one could hear was two hearts beating fast and she almost clutched him in an embraced scared! She suddenly felt at peace after months together! ASR didn't move either and held her comfortingly and then she suddenly opened her eyes and stared at him shocked!
