She did not want anything to happen to the Khurana family. She hoped the incident in the room to never reach the media, otherwise she couldn't even imagine what they would do with the Khurana name. Not only the Khurana family would suffer but it would have great implications on Pari's life as well. And she could not let that happen.
Part 26
And taking a decision she decided to act on it. It was not time to think but follow the decision she had made.
Making the decision she wiped her tears which had been flowing freely uptill now, she left the garden and went to her room. But before going she had to do an important job and that was to ask for forgiveness from Dadima and Dev but even to them she could not tell the real reason for her being in Rahul's arms as she herself was very confused. Unluckily she had not paid attentions to Rahul and stopped him from going away otherwise she could have asked him the reason for him being there and the reason for trying to stop their wedding.
She quietly left the room. The decision she made was final. She could not allow the Khurana family's name to be sullied.
Savitri Devi was feeling the anger inside herself just thinking of the plight of Dev. How could Geet have done this to him and to the Khurana family? What will she reply to the Guests waiting outside for the wedding to commence. Though for now she had sent a message through Adi that the bride was taking time to get ready but they won't wait indefinitely.
She felt hurt that Geet had not thought about her even for a second before doing this. She had been more like a mother to her and Geet had broken the trust. The bond which had developed between the two was on the verge of breaking today as she could no longer forgive Geet for playing with Dev's heart.
She felt disappointment for Dev. She could not understand what will be Dev's action now and how will he take Geet's unfaithfulness. How heartbroken he must be. He had loved her so much changing his way of life only for her. Not only emotionally he had changed but he had become more responsible and had started looking after the business properly. It wasn't like he had not worked before, but after the entry of Geet in his life he had started taking his work seriously and had taken lot more responsibility on his shoulders. Maan and Dev had truly become the backbone of Khurana Constructions and Industries. But now she was worried about him. He had already suffered one heartbreak and had gone astray but this second heartbreak might push him to do something drastic.
Now it was upon her to look after her grandson's happiness. She can not afford to loose her grandson again. Once he had gone astray but she was not sure what this heartbreak might do to him. She will have to talk to Maan and find a solution to this problem. Maybe he would have some answer to this problem.
Going towards Maan's room, she knew they would have to hurry to find a solution to this problem promptly. The guests have been waiting for long and would have become restless by now.
On entering Maan's room she found him pacing restlessly.
"What are we going to do Maan?"
Turning he replied "That's what I have been thinking, Dadima."
"We can get Dev married to Naintara." Sonalika said entering the room and bending down to touch Dadima's feet to ask for forgiveness for interrupting them and speaking in Khuranas family matters, "Sorry, Dadima for interfering in the family matters."
Both Maan and Dadima chorused together, "But why Naintara?" then, "Its ok Sonalika, you are also a part to the family" Dadima told her.
"Because Naintara has been in love with Dev for years and maybe her love would help Dev forget about Geet."
Savitri Devi thought for a moment, realizing the truth in Sonalika's words and taking the decision to do what was best for her grandson.
"But will Naintara agree to this, Sunny and that too at this moment. She also must have dreams about her wedding. And will she accept Dev, he has been rejected twice by two different girls?" Dadima asked her.
"I think she will only be too glad to marry Dev, she must have been heartbroken when she must have heard about Dev and Geet's marriage. And what's the harm in asking her? Because if she agrees then we can get Dev married to her, without the guests being any wiser." Sonalika explained.
"But you are forgetting the biggest problem. Naintara may agree but will Dev?" Maan asked both of them.
"He will have to, Maan. He will have no choice. Dev will be getting married to Naintara. That's Savitri Devi's final decision and he will have to accept it as I will not allow the Khurana name to be spoilt or sullied again once was enough."

She did not want to be seen by anyone but while going out she saw Dev and Naintara sitting down for the wedding ceremony. Today in her hearts, she was happy that Dev would finally find peace and love which she knew Naintara would give him. She had not known about Naintara's love for Dev but she had overheard Sunny telling Dadima about it, when she had gone to tell Maan goodbye. Now she would not be regretting her decision of staying away from him for his own good. She knew she loved him and had been infatuated by him for a little more than a year and it would hurt her to leave him but this was necessary. She could not take this sullied body to him, this is not what her baauji would approve of. She still had some traditional values left though she had lost that in the heat of their body's desires. At that time she had thought it was Dev her would-be husband 'and boy' how wrong she was. And after loosing her virginity which had been precious to her as she always thought she would give to her husband she felt sullied, soiled, spoilt. She will have to know about that person, she will have to find out who he was who had done this to her.
She waited in the shadows willing her tears to stop but today her eyes would not listen to her mind and they would not stop the tears from flowing. They flowed like water in a river unquestioned, unhindered and unstoppable. She kept on thinking, "They say you die one life if your body dies, but you die a thousand deaths if your heart dies" and today she must have died a million deaths to see the person she were going to marry, married off to another. But still her heart could not curse them, only bless them all the happiness of the world adding her share of happiness also.
And when she finally saw them married, Naintara with the sindoor adorning her forehead and a manglsutra around her neck in the name of Dev and becoming Mrs. Dev Singh Khurana she knew it was time.
